This is the reason why he is counted among the most disgusting and evil people in history till date. Hitler was very interested in the arts from an early age and wanted to become an architect. He went to Munich (Germany) in 1913 and was fascinated by the art and architecture there. Despite being a German patriot, he could not get any government position because he did not have full citizenship there. Even after World War I, he remained in the army and progressed to the rank of police detective. Gradually Hitler became a good speaker. After listening to his speech, people would follow him like crazy and believe whatever he said. Hitler succeeded in bridging the gap between the lower and middle classes and bringing them to the same level. Ultimately, with the help of several parties, he seized power in Germany and took control of the army. Despite a lot being known about Hitler's ambition, autocracy and military operations, the common man remains eager to know more about him. In this book, detailed light has been thrown on many unknown aspects and many unknown secrets of this well-known and controversial personality of the 20th century.

Book excerpt: Madman, tyrant, animal—history has given Adolf Hitler many names. In Mein Kampf (My Struggle), often called the Nazi bible, Hitler describes his life, frustrations, ideals, and dreams. Born to an impoverished couple in a small town in Austria, the young Adolf grew up with the fervent desire to become a painter. The death of his parents and outright rejection from art schools in Vienna forced him into underpaid work as a laborer. During the First World War, Hitler served in the infantry and was decorated for bravery. After the war, he became actively involved with socialist political groups and quickly rose to power, establishing himself as Chairman of the National Socialist German Worker's party. In 1924, Hitler led a coalition of nationalist groups in a bid to overthrow the Bavarian government in Munich. The infamous Munich "Beer-hall putsch" was unsuccessful, and Hitler was arrested. During the nine months he was in prison, an embittered and frustrated Hitler dictated a personal manifesto to his loyal follower Rudolph Hess. He vented his sentiments against communism and the Jewish people in this document, which was to become Mein Kampf, the controversial book that is seen as the blue-print for Hitler's political and military campaign. In Mein Kampf, Hitler describes his strategy for rebuilding Germany and conquering Europe. It is a glimpse into the mind of a man who destabilized world peace and pursued the genocide now known as the Holocaust.

Book Introduction to Adolf Hitler

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Adolf Hitler, born in Austria in 1889, was the leader of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, commonly known as the Nazi Party. He rose to power in Germany during the 1930s, becoming the country’s chancellor in 1933 and later the Führer, or absolute dictator. Hitler’s ideology was based on the belief in the superiority of the Aryan race and anti-Semitism, which he believed was a global conspiracy. He aspired to expand Germany’s territory, and his actions ultimately led to World War II and the Holocaust, in which millions of Jews, Romas, homosexuals, disabled individuals, and other marginalized groups were persecuted and killed in concentration camps under Nazi rule. Hitler’s speeches were filled with propaganda and hate speech, blaming the Jews for Germany’s economic struggles and calling for their extermination. He mobilized a massive propaganda machine, which included films, plays, and speeches, that projected his image and message of power and strength, as well as the supremacy of the Aryan race. Hitler and his followers were responsible for atrocities against humanity and crimes against peace. His rule ended on April 30, 1945, when he committed suicide in his bunker rather than face capture by Allied forces.

Book Adolf Hitler

Download or read book Adolf Hitler written by John Toland and published by Anchor. This book was released on 1991-12-01 with total page 808 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pulitzer Prize-winning historian John Toland’s classic, definitive biography of Adolf Hitler remains the most thorough, readable, accessible, and, as much as possible, objective account of the life of a man whose evil effect on the world in the twentieth century will always be felt. Toland’s research provided one of the final opportunities for a historian to conduct personal interviews with over two hundred individuals intimately associated with Hitler. At a certain distance yet still with access to many of the people who enabled and who opposed the führer and his Third Reich, Toland strove to treat this life as if Hitler lived and died a hundred years before instead of within his own memory. From childhood and obscurity to his desperate end, Adolf Hitler emerges as, in Toland’s words, “far more complex and contradictory . . . obsessed by his dream of cleansing Europe Jews . . . a hybrid of Prometheus and Lucifer.”
