Book excerpt: Master's Thesis from the year 2020 in the subject Business economics - Accounting and Taxes, grade: A, Ethiopian Civil Service University, language: English, abstract: The objective of this study is to describe the importance of introducing a real property registration system for property taxation system improvements. Based on the analysis, the need for the property taxation in the study area, the gaps in the information provided by the current land register were identified. The results showed that the establishment of a real property registration system facilitated the property taxation process and consequently maximize property based revenue. Property taxation is one of the means to generate revenue by government for the local developments. To improve the property taxation government needs to ensure that its property records contain information that is beneficial to collect property taxation. Introducing a real property registration system that has complete contents and mechanisms to regularly updating is the most important tool to support the property taxation system. With regard to this, many authors have discussed the role of the real property registration system in general, but not enough researches have been carried out to investigate the value of establishing a real property registration system on property taxation. There is a direct strong relationship between real property registration system and improvements in property taxation. The study recommended that the current registration system should be remodelled to include the vital information such as property value, owners address and tax amount that is desired to collect property taxation. Comprehensive real property policies, cost-effective systematic registration and computerizing the records were suggested to improve the current deficiency of land register.

The study has three key objectives: firstly, identifying institutional, technical, financial, and motivational factors in the land registration system; secondly, analyzing mechanisms for improving the land registration system; and thirdly, examining the relationship between land registration and tax revenue. The research employs a probability sampling method, and the findings reveal that a significant percentage of the sampled respondents (86%) possess knowledge about land registration. Additionally, experts in the field acknowledge the importance of land registration for revenue collection in the study area. Book excerpt: Research Paper (postgraduate) from the year 2020 in the subject Organisation and administration - Public administration, , language: English, abstract: The main objective of the study was to analyze the quality of public service delivery and to examine the level of customer’s satisfaction in Burayu Town Municipality, Oromia Region. The study was conducted to identify the level of service quality and customers’ satisfaction at the municipality. The total of 412 customers who were the service users of the municipality were selected as a sample size by using Yamane Taro’s sample selection formula as a study subjects. The study used convenience sampling method for sample selection of respondents’ and purposive sampling for interview of Public Service Manager. Open-ended questionnaires, closed ended questionnaires and interview were employed for data collection. Regarding research methodology; the researcher employed explanatory research method with both qualitative and quantitative data type. The analysis conducted using Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and presented by using tables, graphs, frequency distribution and percentage. From the study it was found that service quality dimensions were positively related to customer satisfaction; as service quality meets customers’ expectation it leads to customers’ satisfaction. The result indicates that the dimensions of service quality measures were not fully practised by the municipality, which results in low level of service quality and customers’ satisfaction. Municipal officials need to ensure that all tangible attributes related to employee performance create a desirable impact on customer perception of quality. This is important as customer continue to look for tangible cue as a means to reduce perceived service quality and describe their service experience in Burayu town municipality.

Download or read book Eyelid Reconstruction written by Suzanne K. Freitag and published by Thieme. This book was released on 2019-12-09 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Highly practical eyelid surgery resource informs important reconstruction decisions and strategies Skin malignancies frequently affect the periocular area, necessitating excision followed by eyelid reconstruction. Periocular trauma is also quite common, and because of the highly complex regional anatomy, requires expertise for effective reconstruction. Preparation by ophthalmic plastic surgeons prior to periorbital reconstruction is often not possible due to the unpredictability of defects left after Mohs micrographic surgeons clear tumor margins or in cases of trauma. Eyelid Reconstruction by renowned expert Suzanne Freitag and esteemed coeditors N. Grace Lee, Daniel Lefebvre, and Michael Yoon fills a void in the literature. The book provides a quick and practical ophthalmic plastic surgery guide on how to plan and perform a full spectrum of periocular reconstruction procedures. The textbook is a compilation of patient cases and the authors' vast, richly diverse expertise. The book starts with two chapters covering complex periorbital anatomy and basic surgical principles, both of which are critical to performing safe and effective surgery. The third chapter provides a comprehensive overview of Mohs surgery in the periorbital area, an important topic given many defect reconstructions are secondary to Mohs micrographic surgical excisions. Subsequent chapters, organized by anatomic region, feature discussion of surgical approaches for reconstructions of various size and depth defects. The final chapter details eyelid trauma repair, including lid margin and lacrimal lacerations. Key Features An essential go-to pre- or peri-operative reference surgeons can consult quickly as reconstruction cases arise Practical and concise procedural descriptions accompanied by numerous high-quality photographs and illustrations enhance comprehension Chapters dedicated to medial canthus, lower eyelid, upper eyelid, and lateral canthus reconstruction procedures discuss special considerations based on underlying anatomy, adnexal structures, and required functions This is a must-have resource for residents, fellows, and experienced surgeons in the fields of ophthalmic plastic surgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, facial plastic surgery, plastic surgery, dermatology, Mohs surgery, and maxillofacial surgery.
