Book Flow Visualization VI

Download or read book Flow Visualization VI written by Yoshimichi Tanida and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-06-29 with total page 904 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over the last decade, flow visualization has advanced in step with the progress in laser and computer technologies. The scope of the International Symposium on Flow Visualiza- tion will be broader than ever, covering the range of infor- mation generally thought of as nonvisual and reflecting the inclusion of computer - aided methodologies. The Sixth In- ternational Symposium on Flow Visualization aims to attract the participation of experts and users of flow viualizing techniques on furthering an advanced philosophy for the de- velopment of the methods and their applications.

Book Flow Visualization and Image Analysis

Download or read book Flow Visualization and Image Analysis written by F.T. Nieuwstadt and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 279 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Progress in fluid mechanics depends heavily on the availability of good experimental data which can inspire new ideas and concepts but which are also necessary to check and validate theories and numerical calculations. With the advent of new recording and image analysis techniques new and promising experimental methods in fluid flows have presented themselves which are rather newly developed techniques such as particle tracking velocimetry (PTV), particle image velocimetry (PIV) and laser fluorescene (LIF). This volume presents state-of-the-art research on these techniques and their application to fluid flow. Selected papers from the EUROMECH conference on Image Analysis are published in this volume.

Book Flow Visualization Iv

Download or read book Flow Visualization Iv written by Claude Véret and published by Springer. This book was released on 1987-01-01 with total page 918 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Aerodynamics and hydrodynamics are still the main domains that make greater use of flow visualization and classical optical techniques such as schlieren and interferometry than of more recent techniques such as holography speckle, laser light sheets, laser-induced tracers and laser-induced fluorescence. A number of studies are now under way on turbulent and vortex flows, within boundary layers or wakes, in the mixing layer of two flows. Other studies concern jets, two-phase flows and air-water interface. To review and discuss developments in flow visualization, four international symposia have been held. Following Tokyo, Bochum and Ann Arbor, the Fourth International Symposium on Flow Visualization (ISFV 4) was held in Paris in August 1986.

Book Visualization of Shock Wave Phenomena

Download or read book Visualization of Shock Wave Phenomena written by Kazuyoshi Takayama and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-07-03 with total page 719 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents a wealth of images of shock wave phenomena, gathered by the author over the past 40 years. Shadowgrams and interferograms of basic shock-dynamic topics such as reflection, diffraction, refraction, and focusing of shock waves in gases and liquids are sequentially displayed. Though the images themselves are self-explanatory, brief explanations of the experimental conditions are included, so as to facilitate analysis and numerical reproduction of the image data. In addition, the book presents interferometric observations of underwater shock wave/bubble interactions, and highlights the multifaceted applications of shock wave phenomena to medicine and industry. Given its scope, the book offers a unique resource for students and researchers who are interested in shock wave phenomena. However, the content has also been specifically prepared for the benefit of readers who are interested in gas dynamics and medical applications of shock waves, and are looking for reliable experimental images.
