Book Intelligent Control Systems Using Computational Intelligence Techniques

Download or read book Intelligent Control Systems Using Computational Intelligence Techniques written by A.E. Ruano and published by IET. This book was released on 2005-07-18 with total page 478 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Intelligent Control techniques are becoming important tools in both academia and industry. Methodologies developed in the field of soft-computing, such as neural networks, fuzzy systems and evolutionary computation, can lead to accommodation of more complex processes, improved performance and considerable time savings and cost reductions. Intelligent Control Systems using Computational Intellingence Techniques details the application of these tools to the field of control systems. Each chapter gives and overview of current approaches in the topic covered, with a set of the most important references in the field, and then details the author's approach, examining both the theory and practical applications.

Book Applications of Power Electronics

Download or read book Applications of Power Electronics written by Frede Blaabjerg and published by MDPI. This book was released on 2019-06-24 with total page 500 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Power electronics technology is still an emerging technology, and it has found its way into many applications, from renewable energy generation (i.e., wind power and solar power) to electrical vehicles (EVs), biomedical devices, and small appliances, such as laptop chargers. In the near future, electrical energy will be provided and handled by power electronics and consumed through power electronics; this not only will intensify the role of power electronics technology in power conversion processes, but also implies that power systems are undergoing a paradigm shift, from centralized distribution to distributed generation. Today, more than 1000 GW of renewable energy generation sources (photovoltaic (PV) and wind) have been installed, all of which are handled by power electronics technology. The main aim of this book is to highlight and address recent breakthroughs in the range of emerging applications in power electronics and in harmonic and electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues at device and system levels as discussed in ‎robust and reliable power electronics technologies, including fault prognosis and diagnosis technique stability of grid-connected converters and ‎smart control of power electronics in devices, microgrids, and at system levels.

Book Algorithms and Parallel VLSI Architectures III

Download or read book Algorithms and Parallel VLSI Architectures III written by M. Moonen and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 1995-03-16 with total page 425 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A comprehensive overview of the current evolution of research in algorithms, architectures and compilation for parallel systems is provided by this publication. The contributions focus specifically on domains where embedded systems are required, either oriented to application-specific or to programmable realisations. These are crucial in domains such as audio, telecom, instrumentation, speech, robotics, medical and automotive processing, image and video processing, TV, multimedia, radar and sonar. The book will be of particular interest to the academic community because of the detailed descriptions of research results presented. In addition, many contributions feature the "real-life" applications that are responsible for driving research and the impact of their specific characteristics on the methodologies is assessed. The publication will also be of considerable value to senior design engineers and CAD managers in the industrial arena, who wish either to anticipate the evolution of commercially available design tools or to utilize the presented concepts in their own R&D programmes.
