Book Rise Above the Chaos

Download or read book Rise Above the Chaos written by Carolyn Gross and published by Morgan James Publishing. This book was released on 2019-07-02 with total page 150 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Rise Above the Chaos serves as a self-help tool that shows readers how to become calm, centered, and poised in the midst of a non-stop crisis world. In today’s world, technology has added additional pressure and anxiety to life rather than saving precious time. With digital distractions and social isolation, people become less self-aware—an important key to surviving. Award-winning speaker, coach, and patient advocate Carolyn Gross offers her own story of transformation as a tool for others to go from burnout to brilliance and realize they can create personal chaos—or not—simply by controlling their responses to life’s events. Rise Above the Chaos offers life exploration methods to help determine how stress is affecting readers’ lives and health before providing the tools to restore, relax, and renew. Readers learn to identify internal vs. external chaos so they can manage both without adding stress. Carolyn lifts readers’ awareness and helps them gain perspective on how adversity can actually sharpen their wits and skills, ultimately making them more joyful, powerful, and confident.

Book The Relationship Between Chaotic Events and Credit Union Leadership Practices

Download or read book The Relationship Between Chaotic Events and Credit Union Leadership Practices written by Dr. Paul Withey and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2015-06-01 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Organizational crises, in modern society, requires an immediate response. Chaotic stages occur during organizational changes resulting in emotional experiences for leaders who develop intense feelings of anger, shock, and frustration. Leaders who are not prepared will be overwhelmed by the need for an aggressive response to change. The ability to solve problems successfully will increase movement of the organization though the chaos stage. Building a foundation of preparation for a leader, prior to the organizational change stage, will decrease levels of dysfunction the organization may experience. It is time for a new approach to managing organizational chaos. The research in this book provides original contributions to leadership studies by applying general systems and chaos theory to leadership behaviors in times of crisis. Chaos theory offers different perspectives that will allow leaders to develop capacities for changing their existing approaches to chaotic events. Results from the research in this study are valuable to credit union leaders, and also all business leaders, who need new models that recognize external factors influencing the sustainability of the organization. This adaptability is one of the most effective leadership skills a leader can display (Higgs & Rowland, 2005). Introducing general systems and chaos theory into organizational leadership has become a new approach to leadership psychology and philosophy, promising to influence leadership and management theories (Bums, 2002). The significance of chaos theory for leadership studies lies in its heuristic power. If the challenges to normal events are observed through the lens of chaos theory, organizational leaders may make better-informed decisions in times of uncertainty.

Download or read book The Creation of Chaos written by Frederick J. Ruf and published by SUNY Press. This book was released on 1991-09-27 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first book-length study of William James’ style, arguing that the manner in which James writes The Principles of Psychology and The Varieties of Religious Experience serves to construct a chaotic world for his readers. The book examines the uses of chaos in western literature and philosophy and reaches two conclusions: that chaos may be “utter confusion and disorder,” but, paradoxically, that disorder is communicated through some particular order — in Joyce’s term, all chaos is “chaosmos.” Secondly, what is essential about chaos is what it does: nothing is inherently chaotic, rather chaos is used to contrast with or challenge something that is more structured or formed. Finally, the author presents an examination of the religious function of James’ chaotic worldview as a disorientation which orients.

Download or read book Chaos written by Pannaga Shree B S & Parthvi Jaithlia and published by Spectrum Of Thoughts. This book was released on 2021-05-29 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chaos – Tales of the heart is an Anthology that comprises two parts, each dealing with a different topic. The first part portrays several takes on “Chaos” and dives into in-depth narratives of the same. The second part brings forth “Tales of the heart” – depictions in the form of words and pictures. In the former, folks describe Chaos as they see it – Societal, Mental, Psychological, Philosophical, Circumstantial, etc. in, formal, narrative, poetic, satirical, comedic, and descriptive styles. Each author’s account gives a new perspective on how Chaotic things were, are, or can be. This section of the book focuses on matters that may not always be said out loud by most people, owing to the fear of being viewed as weak or insecure. Contrary to the immediate meaning – a physical manifestation of unrest and disorder – Chaos can erupt from within a person and still stay hidden under the surface, causing the same or more damage than its physical counterpart. This emotion can exist under the façade of calm, undetected for the most part. Chaos can make or break. It can incite action and can cease it. It can be a powerful tool if one knows how to wield it. In the latter, people pour their hearts out in the form of fables, poems, and pictures. They talk about personal and social aspects of how the heart perceives things. This section of the book also renders the adage “A picture is worth a thousand words” with moments captured to perfection by budding photographers. Talking about how one’s feeling, can prove easier said than done. Societal conceptions of what should and shouldn’t be talked about can seriously maim one’s self-confidence to the point where one simply stops talking altogether. More often than not, pictures and photos are judged based on how beautiful and perfect they are rather than what they are trying to illustrate. While the former approach isn’t entirely wrong, it does, however, impose unrealistic restrictions on what “beauty” should be. The heart can be made light and airy, metaphorically speaking, provided one finds a way to lighten the load it bears.

Book The Logistic Map and the Route to Chaos

Download or read book The Logistic Map and the Route to Chaos written by Marcel Ausloos and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2006-02-11 with total page 413 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pierre-Francois Verhulst, with his seminal work using the logistic map to describe population growth and saturation, paved the way for the many applications of this tool in modern mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, economics and sociology. Indeed nowadays the logistic map is considered a useful and paradigmatic showcase for the route leading to chaos. This volume gathers contributions from some of the leading specialists in the field to present a state-of-the art view of the many ramifications of the developments initiated by Verhulst over a century ago.
