Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Planet Ship Earth has had many mythical stories. Intergalactic Tribunal™ is about the greatest one ever conceived, developed, and implemented. This powerful story grabbed the inhabitants of earth and sky, and convinced them that to believe is to know. As a result they remain in perpetual ignorance never seeking to know. The main character of this Intergalactic Gospel Fiction is the only son of a man-made God, who created the universe in which he resides. He has no mate male of female. Everyone who wishes to live forever in bliss must pledge their lives to this Man Made God via the worship of his only begotten son. Those that are not afraid to think will find the content of this book intriguing and thought provoking. They'll realize that outrageous thoughts they have had are shared by others. They'll be relieved to know they are not alone in this confusion, called human society. Technological components are unprecedented, trailblazing and surprising. For example the technology that implanted hostile entities into the blood stream to be manifested by the pressing of certain fingers, coughing and spitting. War Theatres will add this to their think tank data banks globally. It's scary to think of the effect this would have in the hands of so-called terrorists. This book can be viewed as a self help educational reference tool, a thought provoker, or just a fun book to read. There are elements of interest for all matured minds, beings that are searching for clarity, and those exploring beyond the matrix of illusion. The fact that man created God so God could make him is evident. It is not hard to create a belief system complete with a god of your design, and giving him or her all the powers you can imagine. This and other thought provoking questions are asked and answered. I am very much aware that this book will not change anyone. My hope is that readers will be motivated enough to investigate its content to see if there be anything that might enhance their lives or that of someone they know and care about. I hope Intergalactic Tribunal™ will provide food for thoughts to the degree that readers will discuss it among their families, friends, and associates. I trust all will find something of value. I invite you all to engage the process of thinking to arrive at decisions which impact your lives. Refuse to be a slave to anyone's belief. Seek to Know Always Terry L. Brown – SOL

Book Militarizing Outer Space

    Book Details:
  • Author : Alexander C.T. Geppert
  • Publisher : Springer Nature
  • Release : 2020-12-02
  • ISBN : 1349958514
  • Pages : 454 pages

Download or read book Militarizing Outer Space written by Alexander C.T. Geppert and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-12-02 with total page 454 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Militarizing Outer Space explores the dystopian and destructive dimensions of the Space Age and challenges conventional narratives of a bipolar Cold War rivalry. Concentrating on weapons, warfare and violence, this provocative volume examines real and imagined endeavors of arming the skies and conquering the heavens. The third and final volume in the groundbreaking European Astroculture trilogy, Militarizing Outer Space zooms in on the interplay between security, technopolitics and knowledge from the 1920s through the 1980s. Often hailed as the site of heavenly utopias and otherworldly salvation, outer space transformed from a promised sanctuary to a present threat, where the battles of the future were to be waged. Astroculture proved instrumental in fathoming forms and functions of warfare’s futures past, both on earth and in space. The allure of dominating outer space, the book shows, was neither limited to the early twenty-first century nor to current American space force rhetorics.

Book The Anthropocene Judgments Project

Download or read book The Anthropocene Judgments Project written by Nicole Rogers and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2023-12-01 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a collection of speculative judgments that, along with accompanying commentaries, pursue a novel enquiry into how judges might respond to the formidable and planetary-scaled challenges of the Anthropocene. The book’s contributors –from Australia, Asia, Europe, and the United Kingdom –take up a range of issues: including multispecies justice, the challenges of intergenerational justice, dimensions of postcolonial justice, the potential contribution of AI platforms to the judgment process, and the future of judging and law in and beyond the Anthropocene. The project takes its inspiration from existing critical judgment projects. It is, however, thoroughly interdisciplinary. In anticipating future scenarios, and designing or adapting legal principles to respond to them, the book’s contributors have been assisted by climate scientists with expertise in future modelling; they have benefitted from the experience of fiction writers in future worldbuilding; and they have incorporated elements of the future worlds depicted in various texts of speculative fiction and artworks. The judgments are, of necessity, speculative and hypothetical in their subject matter. Thus, taken together, they constitute a collaborative experiment in creating the inclusive and radical imaginaries of the future common law. The Anthropocene Judgments Project will appeal to critical and sociolegal academics, scholars in the environmental humanities, environmental lawyers, students, and others with interests in the pressing issues of ecology, multispecies justice, climate change, the intersection of AI platforms and the law, and the future of law in the Anthropocene.

Book excerpt: Traversing the black void, a lonely space cruiser searches for signs of life. The pilot’s mission is to plot new routes and find new worlds to study, to advance humanity’s interstellar progress. But all Ren’s found is dead space and the only progress he’s made is adding plasma vapor to the universal ephemera. Until he crashes on an unknown planet and discovers space isn’t as dead as he thought. Renner Tachibana has spent his entire life training for space exploration. He could have had any cushy assignment he wanted. But he chose the riskiest, most remote deployment he could get because he wanted to make a difference. He wanted his years of hard work to mean something. All it’s gotten him so far is stranded on a seemingly uninhabited world with a busted ship and only his emergency provisions to sustain him. With nothing left to lose, he ventures away from what he knows, determined to find something of consequence. What he discovers turns his expectations upside down and casts him in a role he never would have chosen—as a prisoner of an unknown race. Living a life of privilege and luxury, Tali’Saarna Eldaerenth has little to complain about. The palace provides everything he could ever want—lavish rooms, an infinite library of fascinating stories, any activity he could think to pursue. What it doesn’t give him is a way out of his gilded cage. His purpose is to sire the next heir to the Taaranthian throne, not to rule, not to improve the lives of his people, but to stay out of the way and do as he’s told. He wants so much more, but he’s stuck where he is, with no hope for anything better. When a strange outsider is brought to the palace, though, Tali seizes the opportunity to broker peace and learn from the intriguing foreign being. Maybe he can encourage his mother and his people to embrace the new ideas he finds so exciting. Maybe the outsider really has come to change everything. Two civilizations come crashing together in a cosmic collision of technological advancement versus ancient tradition. Ren and Tali see in each other the fulfillment of their hopes and dreams, but embracing the future means sacrificing everything they’ve ever known. Breaking the rules could break much more than a few hearts. And defying universal law could destroy both of their worlds. This work is intended for a mature audience and contains mature content. Book The Heritage of Heinlein

Download or read book The Heritage of Heinlein written by Thomas D. Clareson and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2014-01-27 with total page 233 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Robert A. Heinlein is generally recognized as the most important American science fiction writer of the 20th century. This is the first detailed critical examination of his entire career. It is not a biography--that is being done in a two-volume work by William Patterson. Instead, this book looks at each piece of fiction (and a few pieces of sf-related nonfiction) that Heinlein wrote, chronologically by date of publication, in order to consider what each contributes to his overall accomplishment. The aim is to be fair, to look clearly at the strengths and weaknesses of the writings that have inspired generations of readers and writers.
