Book From My Mouth to God s Ear

Download or read book From My Mouth to God s Ear written by Olanda Carr Jr. and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2012 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The pages of my book tell not only of my journey, but also of the journeys of those that have crossed my path along the road of life. Each poem presented tells a unique story --stories of great pain, suffering, and disappointment; stories of magnificent joy, peace, and triumph. I ask you to pause and reflect as you read each poem, and follow the road that has led me to where I am today. Many of the poems included were written years ago and describe times that are no more. They were included for a specific reason: to help someone going through similar times today to find peace. Others were written quite recently and speak of modern-day events and challenges. It is my thought that others will find themselves embedded in these works as well. Some are quite personal and deal solely with my experiences, thoughts, beliefs, life, and times. Others are written through the eyes of those around me, as I allowed myself to craft words to imagine and describe the thoughts and feelings of others. All were written with great emotion, time, energy, and care. I pray that all poems touch readers in ways that bring peace and encourage love.

Book Faith Walk

  • Author : Faith Walker Marshall
  • Publisher : Xulon Press
  • Release : 2014-07-24
  • ISBN : 9781628396164
  • Pages : 120 pages

Download or read book Faith Walk written by Faith Walker Marshall and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2014-07-24 with total page 120 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: FAITH WALK is a poetic journey through the life and insights of a Christian woman who understands the power contained in holy scripture and in each of us. It is a rhythmic dance of words, spiritual insights and inspiration. "God Meets Me There" is a simple but powerful depiction of the yearning of the human spirit that is eloquently captured in the lines and spirit of this poem. "Chosen" is one of the most compelling poetic insights into the thoughts and spiritual struggles of Mary, the mother of Jesus, that I have ever read. Faith captures the essence of Mary as a woman, mother and chosen one. "These Tears" is a poignant poetic display of the struggle of a people enslaved physically, emotionally and spiritually. It calls us to cry for those whose human dignity has cried for generations. There are poems in Faith Walk that combine culture and spirit, and these two forces can transform our lives and the world. There are rivers of creativity that flow through each of us. This collection of spiritual and cultural poems will lead you to the place where your soul can be refreshed, inspired and challenged...by the holy word of God and the sacred yearning of a creative writer. May many drink from this river. David Hall President, University of the Virgin Islands ...From the Dedication piece to "Answered Prayer," every single poem touched my soul. The poems and the Bible verses were such a delightful and inspirational combination! Your poems are like the Psalms- they have been like marrow to my bones. I am assured that others who read your FAITH WALK will find your poems as captivating and inspiring as I have. What a blessing! Andrea S. Morris, PhD

Book The Inspiration of God

  • Publisher : Page Publishing Inc

  • Pages : 265 pages

Download or read book The Inspiration of God written by Dr. Allen K. Hand Sr. and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2022-05-04 with total page 265 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Firstly, the objective of that research was to assess the actions of the Civil Rights and the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc. (PNBC) movements. Based on 37 returns to a questionnaire of 39 reduced to 24 identified key criteria e-mailed to 158 persons across the country with forwarding permission, 92% of the respondents indicated that they either agreed or strongly agreed that the actions of the Civil Rights and PNBC movements were inspired of/by God. Additionally, this research identified some serious concerns and issues that each movement (mainly PNBC) has to address if each will continue to exist/survive. Secondly, the objective of that research was to document our history through our struggles, through our pains and gains, through our good times and bad times, through the ups and the downs; in other words, good, bad, or indifferent, it is what it is, our story (his-story, not their-story). Rev. Dr. Herbert D. Daughtry, Sr. constantly admonished us to make history, to interpret history, and to record history (or something to that effect and not necessarily in that order). When we do not do it ourselves in an accurate, precise, truthful, etc. manner, then others will tell their story, which (nine out of ten times) usually is not accurate, precise, truthful, etc. The old prophet acclaimed: "And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." (Habakkuk 2:2) Thirdly (and lastly), the objective of that research was to share information that we do not want to be locked in our minds only to take it to the so-called grave. Many persons who were super-knowledgeable (as I define it) about so many things that could have blessed the world took that super-valuable information to the grave - what a tremendous lost!!! As an aside, the lost is on multiple levels. Level one, we lost them. Level two, we lost what they did not share with us while they were alive. Level three, we lost the value of that buried information. (That is, someone could have taken that information and transformed it to new information. For example, Dr. Gabriel A. Oyibo solved the Unified Field Theorem that Albert Einstein did not live long enough to solve. So many things evolved from solving that equation. Just think: what would have happened to those many things that evolved from solving that equation if Dr. Oyibo would not have solved that theorem? All those many things that evolved from solving that equation would not be in existence. Level four, those persons who took from those many things that evolved from solving that equation and incorporated that value into what they were doing. Etc. etc. etc. The number of these levels conceivably and theoretically approaches infinity. That is, there is no end to the theoretical lost when just one person does not bless the world with their knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.
