Bildlich war mir der Unterschied schnell verständlich. Doch irritierte mich die Praxis. In meinen bisherigen Praxisstellen (die ich während der Ausbildung zur Erzieherin besuchte/besichtigte) wurde immer wieder von Integrationskindern gesprochen, den „I-Kindern“. Ich konnte mir nicht erklären wie die Aufforderung zu Inklusion aus Fach- und Hochschule mit der aktuellen Situation in der Praxis einhergeht. Deshalb ging ich davon aus, dass die Einführung der „Integrationskindern“ eine vereinfachte/abgewandelte Umsetzungsform von Inklusion im frühkindlichen Bereich sein soll; praxispassend gemacht. Dass dies nicht so ist, wurde mir schon in den Vorlesungen und Seminaren von Modul 4 klar. Was Integration von Inklusion in der pädagogischen Praxis unterscheidet, und ob Integration in Kindertageseinrichtungen als Teilschritt auf dem Weg der inklusiven Kita gesehen werden kann, möchte ich innerhalb dieser Arbeit nachgehen.

Für mich ist es wichtig die Frage zu beantworten, ob es möglich ist, Vorurteilen gegenüber Menschen mit Behinderung schon in der Kindheit vorzubeugen und somit eine Voraussetzung für die Umsetzung von Inklusion zu schaffen. Kinder- und Jugendliteratur, die Behinderung thematisiert, ist eine Möglichkeit, um Schülerinnen und Schüler schon früh an das Thema heranzuführen und den Respekt und die Toleranz gegenüber Menschen mit Behinderung zu fördern. Vor diesem Hintergrund stellen sich die zentralen Fragen, wie Kinder mit Behinderung in der Kinder- und Jugendliteratur dargestellt werden und was erforderlich ist, damit diese Art von problemorientierten Erzählungen sich positiv auf die Einstellung gegenüber Menschen mit Behinderung auswirkt. Der erste Teil dieser Arbeit gibt einen theoretischen Hintergrund über Kinder mit geistiger Behinderung in der Gesellschaft. Um den Einstieg in das Thema zu erleichtern, soll zuerst der Begriff der geistigen Behinderung genauer geklärt und die Einstellung und das Verhalten gegenüber Menschen mit Behinderung beleuchtet werden. Aufgrund des großen Umfangs dieses Themengebietes werde ich die anschließende Beschreibung auf zwei konkrete Aspekte einschränken. Zum einen auf den sozialen Aspekt, wobei die Sozialentwicklung und die für diese Entwicklung wichtigen Bezugsgruppen eines Kindes mit Behinderung erläutert werden. Zum anderen auf den strukturellen Aspekt, der ihre schulischen Möglichkeiten beschreibt. Unter diesen Gesichtspunkten erfolgt daraufhin eine Betrachtung von Kindern mit Trisomie 21 in der Gesellschaft. Um den ersten Teil der Arbeit abzuschließen werden in Kapitel 2.4 die im Kontext der gesellschaftlichen Teilhabe stehenden Begriffe „Integration“ und „Inklusion“ erläutert und klar voneinander differenziert. In Kapitel drei wird der vorherige Theorieteil mit der Kinder- und Jugendliteratur verknüpft, wobei der Fokus auf der Analyse des Buches „Halbe Helden“ von Erin Jade Lange liegt. Die zuvor beschriebenen Aspekten werden hier auf die Darstellung eines Kindes mit Down-Syndrom in der Kinder- und Jugendliteratur bezogen. Kapitel 3.2 widmet sich der Intention solcher Werke und den Kriterien, die ein geeignetes Buch zu diesem Thema ausmachen. Zum Abschluss werden im Fazit noch einmal alle Fragen dieser Arbeit knapp beantwortet und resümiert, außerdem wird ein kurzer Ausblick gegeben.
