Book excerpt: “INITIATION”, is a book that was inspired by my own personal intervention-free pregnancy and free-birth. The writing for the book began when I was 8 months pregnant and continued in a seamless way months after my sweet baby girl was born at our home in 2020. The book is about offering a new perspective on pregnancy, birth and motherhood. It offers an opportunity for mothers to evolve their own consciousness and in turn help evolve humanities. I bring this perspective alive in the story of my own personal story and shed some light on the destructive ways societal programs limit us as women when entering into these initiations. I share with you the practices I used that helped me gain a wholistic self-care routine throughout my journey and the tools I used to transcend limiting beliefs and have the pregnancy and birth of my dreams. This book was written to help inspire other mothers that were looking to experience higher awareness and meaning to their journey into pregnancy, birth and motherhood.

Book The New Return to the Great Mother

Download or read book The New Return to the Great Mother written by Isa Gucciardi and published by Sacred Stream. This book was released on 2021-04 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since publishing Return to the Great Mother in 2013, numerous mothers, partners, and birthing attendants have come forward to share with me their stories and to express gratitude for helping them connect with the power of the Great Mother. Some are continuing to strengthen their relationship with this ancient and ongoing source of power, calling upon her whenever they are faced with situations that require them to step outside of their comfort zone and into a new way of knowing themselves or life. Within this book, you will read about these and other stories and how the Great Mother was there, always supporting-sometimes sustaining-the women and children as they moved through the sacred initiation of childbirth. In this updated edition, I have included information about the importance and power of initiations. While the focus of the book is on childbirth (the one initiation we can choose whether to participate in), it is just one of seven key steps we take on the path toward personal growth. Men have their own essential initiation processes, of course, but because this book highlights the uniquely female endeavor of giving birth, I have spoken only to the initiations of girls and women. It is through the discussion of the seven initiations of birth, puberty, menses, first sexual encounter, childbirth, menopause, and death that I hope to shed light on the life-altering effects that initiatory experiences can have on us. Like rungs on a ladder, each initiation can serve as a sturdy step upon which we feel supported as we climb upward toward greater awareness and understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.

Book INITIATION TO THE MOTHER

Download or read book INITIATION TO THE MOTHER written by Olivier Manitara and published by Éditions Essénia. This book was released on 2019-08-30 with total page 174 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I testify that this book was not written by a man, but by a community of free souls who have committed themselves to live according to the principles, laws and values of a primordial tradition, the Essene Nation. I testify that this community of souls has worked together, tirelessly, with determination and courage to open a new path of liberation for humanity and the earth. Thus, the ancient prophecy of the "pure hearts that will see God" (Matthew 5:8) was fulfilled and not only the Angels, the Archangels were revealed, but now it is God the Mother who has shown Himself and spoken.

Book The Heart of the Great Mother

Download or read book The Heart of the Great Mother written by Christine R. Page and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2020-02-11 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reveals sacred spiritual tools to connect with the love, passion, and creative powers of the Great Mother for spiritual transformation • Explores the three faces of the Great Mother’s love and wisdom in our lives and how to build our magician’s wand, which enables us to be masters of our creativity • Details the journey of the soul through the twelve signs of the zodiac to integrate the shadow self and embody the soul’s true light • Explains how we are being called to birth a new world, one that embraces the divine feminine qualities of intuition, emotional creative power, and rhythmic renewal The year 2012 marked the birth of a new cycle of time that will last for the next 26,000 years. In charge of such birth is the Great Mother, the eternal source of all creation. She is calling on the feminine within us all to create a world worthy of the next seven generations and begin an era of peace, abundance, and spiritual evolution. To birth this new world, we must release our hold on old destructive patterns and instead embrace the divine feminine qualities of intuition, powerful creativity, and rhythmic renewal. As Christine Page reveals, the Great Mother hears our heart’s yearning to escape our old ways of suffering and struggle to find peace, fulfillment, and joy. She is reaching out to us across the dimensions, offering spiritual initiation and the chance to know ourselves fully right now. Dr. Page explains how important it is to acknowledge and integrate our shadow selves--the unloved parts of us--so we can radiate our light from the fullness of who we are without shame or judgment. Drawing on alchemy and mythology, the author details the journey of the soul through the twelve signs of the zodiac until our inner light shines. She also explores how to connect with and use sacred spiritual tools to open our hearts and merge with the Great Mother’s love and creative powers. Exploring the mythology of the Triple Goddess, the author explains how the three faces of the Great Mother help us on our spiritual journey of transformation: As virgin she inspires us to manifest our dreams. As mother, she teaches us to celebrate and nurture all living things, especially ourselves. As crone, she shows us that creativity changes like the seasons, encouraging us not to be possessed by our creations but to embrace mystery and impermanence. Finally, the Great Mother emboldens us to build our magician’s wand, the rod of light along the spine which enables us to be masters of our creativity, bringing forth transformation for ourselves and generations of children still to come as we embark into a new era of expanded consciousness and love.

Book Maiden to Mother

Download or read book Maiden to Mother written by Sarah Durham Wilson and published by . This book was released on 2024-02-13 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A richly rewarding guide for women stepping into their full feminine power Pre-patriarchal cultures revered the passage from youth to maturity as a part of nature’s cycle. Yet, today’s society has largely severed women from this connection, asking them to remain young, pretty, and disconnected from their inner sacredness. Maiden to Mother offers a desperately needed pathway out of infantilization and disempowerment and into soul-sourced sovereign wholeness. Through story, ritual, and teaching, Wilson ushers women through the ancient passage of the immature “Maiden” phase of life and guides us through the crucial initiation into the archetypal Mother—the powerful, safe, compassionate, full-bloom feminine life force that exists within all of us. The Mother is every woman’s birthright, regardless of whether or not she raises children. It is an embodiment of who we needed as a child, who we were meant to be in this life, and who the world needs us to be now. Here, we are invited to dismantle our internalized conditioning with its false, constricting standards for the feminine, so that we may live with authenticity and feast on the richness of life. “Midlife is not, as our culture proposes, where a woman’s power ends,” says Wilson, “but where it really begins.”

Book Discovering the Inner Mother

Download or read book Discovering the Inner Mother written by Bethany Webster and published by HarperCollins. This book was released on 2021-01-05 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sure to become a classic on female empowerment, a groundbreaking exploration of the personal, cultural, and global implications of intergenerational trauma created by patriarchy, how it is passed down from mothers to daughters, and how we can break this destructive cycle. Why do women keep themselves small and quiet? Why do they hold back professionally and personally? What fuels the uncertainty and lack of confidence so many women often feel? In this paradigm-shifting book, leading feminist thinker Bethany Webster identifies the source of women’s trauma. She calls it the Mother Wound—the systemic disenfranchisement of women by the patriarchy—and reveals how this cycle is perpetuated by wounded mothers who unconsciously pass on damaging beliefs and behaviors to their daughters. In her workshops, online courses, and talks, Webster has helped countless women re-examine their lives and their relationships with their mothers, giving them the vocabulary to voice their pain, and encouraging them to share their experiences. In this manifesto and self-help guide, she offers practical tools for identifying the manifestations of the Mother Wound in our daily life and strategies we can use to heal ourselves and prevent our daughters from enduring the same pain. In addition, she offers step-by-step advice on how to reconnect with our inner child, grieve the mother we didn’t have, stop people-pleasing, and, ultimately, transform our heartache and anger into healing and self-love. Revealing how women are affected by the Mother Wound, even if they don’t personally identify as survivors, Discovering the Inner Mother revolutionizes how we view mother-daughter relationships and gives us the inspiration and guidance we need to improve our lives and ultimately create a more equitable society for all.

Book Thresholds of Initiation

Download or read book Thresholds of Initiation written by Joseph L. Henderson and published by Chiron Publications. This book was released on 2004 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Basing his study on Jung's archetypal theory-especially that of initiation-Thresholds of Initiation represents thirty years of testing the theory in analytical practice. Joseph Henderson considers archetypes to be predictable patterns of inner conditioning that lead to certain essential changes and shows the parallels between individual psychological self-development and the rites that marked initiation in the past. Dr. Henderson's topics include the uninitiated; return of the mother; remaking a man; trial by strength; the rite of vision; thresholds of initiation; initiation and the principle of ego-development in adolescence; and initiation in the process of individuation. This is essential reading for an understanding of the universal nature of initiation, especially as it relates traditional initiatory practices to Jung's theory of archetypes.

Book A Mother Daughter Workshop

Download or read book A Mother Daughter Workshop written by Therese Brooks and published by . This book was released on 2015 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The developmental transition from child to adolescent is a period of significant inner transformation for a female. Guidance, support, and mentorship from other women can serve to facilitate this transition and offer a model for conscious femininity to support her emergent self-concept and offer an experience of initiation. Throughout history and across cultures, rites-of-passage rituals have assisted individuals transitioning between developmental levels to incorporate a new self-identity. Contemporary Western society lacks meaningful rites-of-passage rituals for females, which can result in unconscious, often traumatic acts of self-initiation or psychologically incomplete transitions. This thesis, utilizing hermeneutic and artistic-creative methodologies, proposes a 6-week workshop for mothers and daughters and explores what information, support, and experiences a rites-of-passage program can incorporate to assist in her psychological transition. Specific attention is paid to the structure and content of the workshop in order to provide an experience of containment, support, and mentorship.

Download or read book Making of a Man written by John C. Woodcock and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2012-09 with total page 91 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1982 I was travelling in a suburban train between Boston and New York. I suddenly felt a stirring at the base of my spine and a trickle quickly turned into a rush of energy moving upward. Another will seemed to be working within me and I felt a mandate to shift my posture. Feeling awkward and embarrassed I assumed a lotus posture in the public carriage and waited for the next event. A flood of blissful fluid rushed up my spine emerging out of my heart. My journey with Kundalini had begun which would dominate and shape my life for the next twenty years. Making of a Man is a personal disclosure. Dr. Woodcock tells for the first time those intensely intimate experiences with Kundalini (the divine mother) that both deconstructed his personality and transformed it. The content of the book may look like poetry but in fact is the residue of a poesis, a making. These word forms are virtually unedited since the time he wrote them down during a long period of ecstatic vision. This book is thus the record of an intense sustained spiritual process during which Dr. Woodcock reached a region of reality where he experienced the love, power and wisdom of the creative word. What was spoken thus became so! A man was transformed and an aspect of spirit incarnated.

Book People of the Bear Mother

Download or read book People of the Bear Mother written by T. D. Austin and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2012-08 with total page 592 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The most powerful shaman of the People of the Bear Mother invites a young woman to take her soul's great adventure by painting a new piece of animal art on the walls in the deepest chambers of the awesome Great Cave. The time has come for Little Bear to make the life-altering choice to overcome her fear of the terrifying old shaman, and in doing so, unalterably change all the lives her soul will subsequently experience even as her "lion eye" reappears in each lifetime to identify her avatar. But before she may embark on her hero's journey, she must be initiated as hunter and then as Seer through trials, ordeals, and the revelations of her people's mythology expressed in the art of the Cave. The tale builds to an unexpected climax as one soul experiences many lifetimes in a hunting culture where being born female or male, homosexual or heterosexual, young or old are equally valid ways of being human. Inspired by the work of Joseph Campbell and the artwork of France's 35,000-yearold Chauvet Cave, the novel takes a fresh look at, and is a new take on, the life-ways and religion of our earliest ancestors through Little Bear's encounters with shamans, hunters, avatars, and painted caves. This story reveals that the spiritual messages hidden within this magnificent, incredibly ancient art are the same metaphysical beliefs of the New Age and the same universal human truths at the heart of every world religion and mystical philosophy. 2011 Book Competition Finalist Awards: USA Best Book Awards for New Age Fiction; IBA for Chick Lit-Women's Fiction; IBA for Gay-Lesbian Fiction.
