Book excerpt: Dans le contexte des préoccupations actuelles concernant les problèmes de compatibilité électromagnétique des composants électroniques, cette thèse a été consacrée à l'étude de jonctions P+N au silicium préamorphisées au germanium à haute énergie soumises à l'influence d'un champ magnétique pur continu ou alternatif basse fréquence grâce à un banc de mesure de susceptibilité magnétique mis au point au laboratoire. Une première approche expérimentale a permis la caractérisation des jonctions étudiées en absence de champ magnétique et le développement à l'aide du logiciel Spice d'un modèle électrique fiable pour tous les échantillons. Sous champ magnétique continu, la susceptibilité magnétique dépend de la polarisation considérée et donc des mécanismes de transport régissant le fonctionnement du composant. Dans les deux cas de polarisation, la variation du courant augmente avec l'intensité du champ magnétique. Dans la région de diffusion, elle varie comme B2. Le champ magnétique alternatif, à la différence du champ magnétique continu, agit essentiellement dans la zone de génération-recombinaison. L'énergie d'activation apparente caractérisant le courant inverse est fortement dépendante de la fréquence du champ magnétique ainsi que de la technologie de fabrication des échantillons. La présence de défauts électriquement actifs contribue à une augmentation de la susceptibilité magnétique autour des températures de détection associées aux spectres DLTS des échantillons.
