Download or read book Dragon and Tiger Medical Qigong Volume 1 written by Bruce Frantzis and published by Blue Snake Books. This book was released on 2010 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Practiced by millions in China to release stress and maintain robust health, Dragon and Tiger qigong is also used to help prevent and heal cancer and to mitigate the effects of radiation and chemotherapy. It uses simple body movements to accomplish the same chi balancing as acupuncture. Each movement is designed to stimulate not just a single meridian but groups of meridians. In Chinese medicine, the tiger is a metaphor for a strong, healthy liver and powerful muscles, and the dragon is a metaphor for healthy and strong lungs. The Dragon and Tiger form accomplishes three major changes in the body necessary for healing: it releases stagnant chi energy; increases the speed, strength, and evenness of the circulation of chi, blood, and other fluids; and quickly raises the body's energy levels to boost its natural healing capacities.

Book Zhong Yuan Qigong

Download or read book Zhong Yuan Qigong written by Mingtang Xu and published by Createspace Independent Pub. This book was released on 2012-10-01 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a logical extension of the first two volumes on Stages I and II on Zhong Yuan Qigong (ZYQ) from the series "Enter Your Inner World." Every formidable system is based on or grows out of certain philosophical assumptions. ZYQ is no exception. However, while being the oldest of the known systems for the development of people, it at the same time represents some ancient views on the structure and evolution of the Universe and the Way of the development of Life and Mind. You'll find here a philosophical concept and the model of creation, with its different levels of worlds and possible forms of life. Practice of this part assumes your mastery of the methods of self-regulation for the purpose of your development as a human being, as a representative of a certain biological type. This development is supposed to transform you in such a way that you'll be able to move to a qualitatively different level of life. To understand and do more, we must understand ourselves. This requires investigating ourselves. After all, many mysterious things and questions that remain unanswered are connected with us. For example, what is the energy that we employ to help ourselves and others? What are our dreams, and why in many situations are they things that inform us about the future? Why do some people suddenly recall a previous life of theirs and begin speaking a different language? Why are we able to dream about our deceased relatives and interact with them? Do we understand what Life is, what being alive is? Do we know where the boundary line of Life passes and whether there is, in general, such a line? And what niche in this Life is allotted to humans? Furthermore what, generally speaking, are the levels of Life? Humans represent a reliable, multifunctional research laboratory with truly unlimited possibilities. All that's required is the knowledge necessary to utilize this laboratory. Here's an instructive Chinese tale: In a well there lived a frog. It was known for saying, "I know how vast the sky is, and I know how much water there is." One day the frog climbed out of the well and headed toward the sea. But it lost its mind because it saw how huge the sky was and how much water there was. Therefore humankind can take one of two routes: (1) never go anywhere, never familiarize yourself with anything new, and remain where you are, or (2) step by step, get to know this big world. ZYQ is the key than can open the doors to your own laboratory and in it switch on all necessary analyzers. At the very same time, ZYQ is a simple science of life, although Life itself is far from simple. ZYQ practice not only contributes to improving our health, and it not only expands our knowledge about the world. It also allows us to reach a qualitatively different level of Life, one independent of the physical body and the conditions of our place of habitation. This stage gives you knowledge how to develop your energy and spirit, and achieve various states of body and mind, especially the state of Pause, which paves the way for the soul to depart from your body and travel through the various worlds in the whole Universe. The book teaches the technique for activating the upper Dan Tian to open the Third Eye, the stages of development of the Third Eye, and ways to diagnose with the Third Eye's help. In addition, the Stage III covers a special method of weight loss Bigu Shiqi, involving of taking Qi through the navel instead of eating normal food, so you can cleanse your body and lose weight naturally. You can also master the practice of rejuvenation and learn the methods of distance healing. In the last chapter you'll be acquainted with eight main principals of ZYQ and their connection to our practice and everyday life. As with the previous volumes in this series, the book is intended for both general readers, as well as Qigong practitioners.

Book Tai Chi Qi Gong and Standing Meditation

Download or read book Tai Chi Qi Gong and Standing Meditation written by Meraz Ahmed and published by . This book was released on 2020-09-04 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a book about Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Standing Meditation. The book is both an introduction to, and an in-depth presentation. The book ¬addresses the beginner, the more experienced student, and the teacher. It covers the Martial, as well as the Civil art of Tai Chi.There are many training systems that are focused on strengthening the body, but that have very little or no relevance to the strengthening and development of the mind. In reverse there exist many meditative practices, which are focused on the strengthening and development of the mind, but in the same way neglect the body. Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Standing Meditation are training systems which both strengthen the mind, the ability to use the body more ¬appropriately, as well as strengthening the internal organs. They will help you find tranquility, balance, rest, and regeneration, and help the individual to become better at exactly what he or she yearns for. They increase the ability to focus and at the same time develop that part of our nervous system that deals with calm, rest and recovery. In this current day and age, the obsession with how looking fit equals good health is a relatively new phenomenon, when seen in relation to how long mankind has existed. Tight, hard and knotted muscles are erringly seen as being fit. It can be difficult to accept and understand, that training is definitively not about exhausting oneself in order to achieve good, healthy results. Especially as we have been indoctrinated by phrases like "no pain no gain". Reality is rather different. Systems of movement like Tai Chi and Qi Gong, which strongly encourage the balancing of bones and joints, and where the movements are aimed at being liquid with a release of the joints while letting go of all unnecessary muscle tension, are a far better bid at an appropriate form of exercise. This way the muscles are being exercised without fatigue. The physical balance is developed while flexibility and mobility are preserved. Added to this is a strengthening of the bones, and the integration of body and mind, as well as one's own experience of peace and wellbeing. A well-balanced skeleton is the foundation for relaxed muscles and free movement of the joints. The book is based on the author's experience of more than 30 years, and contains a wealth of training tips, instructive photos, and links to video clips of key exercises. It also includes excerpts from his dairies, and anecdotes from his personal experiences with some of his teachers - teachers who are among the very best when it comes to Internal Martial Arts, as well as Qi Gong.Standing meditation (Zhan Zhuang) will be a cornerstone and common thread throughout the book. In this you will experience time and again, how the author return to standings and describe new angles and new takes on the subject. Torben Bremann (the author) was born in 1960. He started learning Taiji and Qigong in 1987 from Master Chu King Hung (disciple of Master Yang Shou Shung). In 1989 he came in contact with Master Chen Guan Ming and in 1994 he became a student and disciple of the latter's Master, He Gong De and amongst other things, learned Chen style, Zhanzhuang (standing) and Emei Qigong from him until his death in 1999. From 1991 - 1998 he also received teaching from Patrick Kelly - a long time student of Master Huang Xingxian. In 1998 he was introduced to Master Yek Sing Ong and Master Wee Kee Jin, from whom he has learned Taiji and Zhanzhuang. From 1999 to 2007 he was a private student and close friend of Wee Kee Jin.
