Book INCIDENCE DU DEFICIT VISUEL SUR LA FONCTIONNALITE DES SYSTEMES PERCEPTIF ET PERCEPTIVO MOTEUR CHEZ L ENFANT DE 3 A 6 ANS

Download or read book INCIDENCE DU DEFICIT VISUEL SUR LA FONCTIONNALITE DES SYSTEMES PERCEPTIF ET PERCEPTIVO MOTEUR CHEZ L ENFANT DE 3 A 6 ANS written by CAROLE.. MALET and published by . This book was released on 1998 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CETTE RECHERCHE CONCERNE L'ETUDE DE LA FONCTION VISUELLE CHEZ DES ENFANTS D'AGE PRESCOLAIRE ATTEINTS DE DEFICITS VISUELS.

Book Developmental Dysgraphia

Download or read book Developmental Dysgraphia written by Brenda Rapp and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-12-13 with total page 351 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The ability to communicate with written language is critical for success in school and in the workplace. Unfortunately, many children suffer from developmental dysgraphia—impairment in acquiring spelling or handwriting skills—and this form of impairment has received relatively little attention from researchers and educators. This volume brings together, for the first time, theoretically grounded and methodologically rigorous research on developmental dysgraphia, presented alongside reviews of the typical development of spelling and writing skills. Leading experts on writing and dysgraphia shed light on different types of impairments that can affect the learning of spelling and writing skills, and provide insights into the typical development of these skills. The volume, which contributes both to the basic science of literacy and to the applied science of diagnosing and treating developmental dysgraphia, should interest researchers, educators, and clinicians. This book was originally published as a special issue of Cognitive Neuropsychology.

Book Analysis of Visual Behavior

Download or read book Analysis of Visual Behavior written by David Ingle and published by MIT Press (MA). This book was released on 1982 with total page 870 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Analysis of Visual Behavior" encompasses both theoretical and experimental research. It deals with the visual mechanisms of diverse vertebrate species from salamanders and toads to primates and humans and presents a stimulating interaction of the disciplines of anatomy, physiology, and behavioral science. Throughout, visual mechanisms are investigated from the point of view of the brain functioning at the organismic level, as opposed to the now more prevalent focus on the molecular and cellular levels. This approach allows researchers to deal with the patterns of visually guided behavior of animals in real-life situations. The twenty-six contributions in the book are divided among three sections: "Indentification and Localization Processes in Nonmammalian Vertebrates," introduced by David J. Ingle; "Visual Guidance of Motor Patterns: The Role of Visual Cortex and the Superior Colliculus," introduced by Melvyn A. Goodale; and "Recognition and Transfer Processes," introduced by Richard J. W. Mansfield. The editors are all university researchers in psychology: David J. Ingle at Brandeis, Melvyn A. Goodale at the University of Western Ontario, and Richard J. W. Mansfield at Harvard.

Download or read book Developmental and Educational Psychology for Teachers written by Dennis McInerney and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2016-09-13 with total page 357 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Developmental and Educational Psychology for Teachers brings together a range of evidence drawn from psychology to answer a number of critical educational questions, from basic questions of readiness – for example, when is a child ready for school, through to more complex matters, such as how does a teacher understand and promote good peer relationships in their classroom? The answers to these and other questions discussed draw here on the interplay between a teachers’ craft expertise and their knowledge of evidence and theory from developmental and educational psychology. Presenting a range of classic theories and contemporary research to help readers understand what the key issues are for teachers and other professionals, this book aides informed educational decisions in situations such as: inclusion, ability grouping, sex differences, developing creativity, home and peer influences on learning, and developing effective learners. Teachers in early years, primary and secondary settings are routinely faced with questions regarding the development of children. This not only relates to the planning and delivery of lessons, but also to the mental and physical wellbeing of the children and adolescents that they teach. The pedagogical features of this book are accessible and clearly presented, including focus questions that direct the reader’s attention to key issues, activity posts that point the reader to meaningful and relevant research and show the practical applications of material covered, and extension material that gives depth to many of the topics covered. This book aims to inform the practice of both in-service and trainee teachers, addressing issues that are relevant to their practice. With no other detailed and accessible text presenting this evidence and theory specifically for an audience of practicing and trainee teachers currently on the market, this book will be of essential reading to practicing and trainee teachers for early years, primary and secondary education and other related educational contexts such as educational psychologists, counsellors, paediatric and child doctors and nurses.

Book excerpt: “Simplexity, as I understand it, is the range of solutions living organisms have found, despite the complexity of natural processes, to enable the brain to prepare an action and plan for the consequences of it. These solutions are simplifying principles that enable the processing of information or situations, by taking into account past experience and anticipating the future. They are neither caricatures, shortcuts, or summaries. They are new ways of asking questions, sometimes at the cost of occasional detours, in order to achieve faster, more elegant, more effective actions.” A. B. As Alain Berthoz demonstrates in this profoundly original book, simplicity is never easy; it requires suppressing, selecting, connecting, thinking, in order to then act in the best way possible. And what if we, in turn, are inspired by the living world to process the complexity that surrounds us? Alain Berthoz is professor at the Collège de France where he is co-director of the Laboratoire de physiologie de la perception et de l’action. [Laboratory for the physiology of perception and action]. He is a member of the French Academy of Sciences, and is the author of Le Sens du mouvement [The Brain's Sense of Movement] and La Décision [Emotion and Reason].
