Drawn by a vision, he journeys into the Himalayas, encountering angels in strange disguise. Meanwhile, a frightening inward collapse of identity takes its inexorable course. His fevered mind hears the erotic whispers of a woman he knows to be his true love - but is she real or a divine creation of his delirious imagination? She urges him to abandon scepticism, to allow himself to be vulnerable, that these are the doorways to a greater love than he has ever known. A tale of an unplanned pilgrimage to the four corners of the earth and to the heart of the Self.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "It all commences with a vision, vision of divine, vision of elevated life, vision of infinite and then begins the transformation of the being from the amoebic to the superhuman level. Seed of Light is the collection of spiritual philosophical poetry attempting to reveal the secrets of human existence and finding meaning to the mortal life. Each poem will force you to think beyond our petty existence and will assist you to see your face clearly in the mirror of time. The poems are elixir of divinity, juiced out of the human emotions like love, laughter, pain, suffering, pride, ego, desire to finally find oneself at peace, just by tasting a drop of it. The poems are based on poets’ vision of higher realms which he earned while sailing across the oceans around the globe. This is supplemented by his knowledge of ancient Indian texts like Vedas, Upanishads, Mahabharata and Sri Aurobindo philosophy. The walk towards infinity is described in following lines It matters not how much you walk, But the steps taken, Course corrected, track unearthed, And the path you have decided to awaken. While the discovery of truth is symbolized as follows I have to dive down; into the core of the depths, Into the lowest existence of a subliminal being; From there, I shall rise up my lord, As like the bubbles arising out of a sprout. It is not a book but the discovery of your subliminal being.

Book excerpt: Seeds: Ecology, Biogeography, and Evolution of Dormancy and Germination differs from all other books on seed germination. It is an all-encompassing volume that provides a working hypothesis of the ecological and environmental conditions under which various kinds of seed dormancy have developed. It also presents information on the seed germination of more than 3500 species of trees, shrubs, vines and herbaceous species, making this a valuable reference for anyone studying germination. This book delivers information on characteristics of each type of seed dormancy, how each type of dormancy is broken in nature, and what environmental conditions are required for germination after dormancy is broken. It explains how studies should be done to distinguish persistent from transient seed banks, and covers which species should be controlled, propagated, and conserved. Seeds gives the reader insight and guidelines for doing ecologically meaningful studies on the biogeography and evolution of seed dormancy and germination in order to better understand plant reproductive strategies, life history traits, adaptations to habitats, and physiological processes. Evolutionary/phylogenetic origins and relationships of various kinds of seed dormancy A world biogeographical perspective on seed dormancy and germination Ecophysiology of seeds with each type of dormancy Critical evaluation of methodology used in soil seed bank studies Germination ecology of plants with specialized habitat and life cycle types Genetic and maternal preconditioning effects on seed dormancy and germination Guidelines for doing ecologically-meaningful germination studies

Book Basic and Applied Aspects of Seed Biology

Download or read book Basic and Applied Aspects of Seed Biology written by R.H. Ellis and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 808 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Fifth International Workshop on Seeds was held at the University of Reading, UK, from 10 to 15 September, 1995. Some 230 seed scientists, from a wide range of disciplines (botanists, biochemists, ecologists, agriculturalists, foresters, and commercial seedsmen), from 31 countries (Europe, the Americas, and Asia) participated in the workshop. A large number of oral and poster presentations was made during the workshop and we are pleased to publish so many of them in these Proceedings. The papers herein are listed by the sessions in which they were presented but, as is often the case, many papers cover a broader range of topics than the session titles imply. For seed physiologists, ecologists, and technologists, this book collates much of the current research on seeds.

Download or read book The Two Seeds written by Fred A. Wilson and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2010-09-23 with total page 809 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book of Revelation (chapter 12) narrates a phenomenon that most readers will find incredible. Given a view of a period of time in Heaven, Apostle John saw and reported: "Then war broke out in Heaven; Michael and his angels went forth to battle with the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought." He actually saw Archangel Michael and His army of Angels in all out war against a dragon; and the Dragon and his Angels fought back. However, the Dragon and his Angels did not prevail: they were defeated and violently cast out of and down from Heaven: "And the huge dragon was cast down and out that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, he who is the seducer (deceiver) of all Humanity the World over; he was forced out and down to the Earth, and his angels were flung out along with him." Further, the Warriors who vanquished this huge dragon called the Devil and Satan: "And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing]." This was a War in which the armaments were the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony This was a War of Words! This War would continue on Earth. After the Fall of Man, the War on Earth between the Two Seeds would be a War of the Spirit Beings; fought through Human Beings, and other living things, to the detriment of those who make the wrong choices during the battles to Save the World of Man! How did it begin and how will it end? This is one question every Believer is, literally, dying to know. So did Prophet Daniel (12v8): "And I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said: O my lord, what shall be the issue and final end of these things? The issue and final end of these things become evident as we trawl through Holy Scriptures and the histories of Man, as has been attempted in the 800 pages of this book.
