Compte tenu du nombre d'échec des projets d'entrepreneuriat qu'on observe encore aujourd'hui malgré les nombreuses théories élaborées, il est important de continuer les recherches afin d'identifier d'autres spécificités de ces types de projets qui restent encore inconnus. Ces travaux s'inscrivent dans ce sens ont essayé de montrer l'incidence des sources de financement sur les résultats des projets d'entrepreneuriat (succès ou échec). Pour atteindre cet Object, nous avons vérifié auprès des consultants en entrepreneuriat et des entrepreneurs si les sources de financement ont une incidence sur le degré d'engagement des promoteurs d'entreprise pour réussir leur projet d'entrepreneuriat. Deux questionnaires d'enquête de type semi ouvert a été élaboré. L'un a été soumis à 42 consultants en entrepreneuriat répartis au Bénin et au Canada et le second à 151 entrepreneurs basés essentiellement au Bénin. Le sondage a été effectué par l'intermédiaire du logiciel d'enquête en ligne LimeSurvey dans la période de janvier et février 2020. Les données recueillies ont été analysées dans une première partie grâce à l'outil statistique de LimeSurvey pour obtenir les tendances et dans une deuxième à l'aide du logiciel d'analyse statistique SPSS pour effectuer des tests d'hypothèses. Les diverses analyses ont montré que les sources de financement ont vraisemblablement un impact sur le degré d'engagement des porteurs de projet, de même que le degré d'engagement des porteurs de projet influence le résultat des projets d'entrepreneuriat. De plus nous avons observé que les sources de financement ont un impact vraisemblable aussi sur le résultat des projets d'entrepreneuriat. Les résultats obtenus ont permis de déduire que certaines sources de financement prédisposent plus les projets d'entrepreneuriat au succès plus que d'autres. Malgré les limites de cette recherche, les conclusions permettrons aux porteurs de projet d'entrepreneuriat de savoir que parmi les sources de financement des projets d'entrepreneuriat à leur disposition, certaines favorisent plus le succès. Ceci leur permettra de mieux choisir leurs sources de financement pour maximiser leur chance de réussir leur projet d'entrepreneuriat.

Elle a finalement fait ressortir l'amélioration de la perception de l'entreprise par son environnement : celle-ci jouit d'un nouveau prestige dans les milieux d'affaires et elle attire davantage la confiance des investisseurs, facilitant du même coup son accès aux autres modes de financement.
