Book excerpt: Using a mixed method approach, this research proposes a sustainability model of Vietnamese women entrepreneurs that presents factors influencing Vietnamese women to become entrepreneurs and ensure their venture's success. The initial model was developed during a qualitative phase involving thematic analysis of 30 interviews with Vietnamese women entrepreneurs. The model was then tested in a quantitative phase using survey data from 144 respondents. The model provides insight into the relationships between factors triggering Vietnamese women to enter the business world, the barriers they face, their business growth and sustainability processes, and their success in sustaining their new business venture.
