This project shows the impact of company income tax on revenue generation in Nigeria. The method used in collecting data for this research work is through primary, personal observation and secondary data as the major source of information. The researcher administered the questionnaires randomly to the staff of Federal Inland Revenue Services, registered Company Income Tax agents and in some public places in Adamawa State. One hundred (100) questionnaires were generally administered to all the various respondents at the rate of one questionnaire per individual. The data collected were analyzed using simple percentage. The analysis revealed that there is no any marked difference in the various respondents’ general perception of Company Income Tax on government revenue generation and its impacts on living condition of people in Adamawa State. Therefore, based on the findings, the study recommends among others that; the government agency responsible for the collection of companies income tax, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) should work in liaison with the Commission (CAC) to ensure that all companies registered in Nigeria i.e. Foreign and Domestic meet their tax obligations to the nation.

The book considers the progressive cage, and looks at Confucian influences on teaching in China, progressive reform failures in both Sub-Saharan Africa and Papua New Guinea, as well as offering a critical take on some failings in comparative education. The book concludes by returning the focus back to teachers and considers the so-called teacher resistance to change. We attempt to figure out if Thai tax system is pro poor or rich (i.e. progressive or regressive) among the various tax types on the five quintile income groups. This paper is used to ascertain which income group tend to pay more of their incomes as taxes. The paper also explores the relationship between tax incidence and poverty reduction on the one hand and indicators of access to education and health services and social outcomes on the other using simple measures of association. We conclude that based on the results of the tax system, the income distribution of Thai households became more equal on individual income tax, implying a gradual effort to bridge the income gap between the rich and the poor in Thailand. A pre-tax Gini coefficient of 0.3056 saw a marginal improvement, leading to a post-tax Gini coefficient of 0.2862 on post-tax (IIT), implying the situation on post-tax individual income shows an attempt by Thai government to have equality in individual incomes, and thereby bridging the income gaps. In general, the total post-tax coefficient ended at 0.3085 indicating, though efforts are being put in place by government to enhance the income situation of the poor, the effort according to our empirical results is marginal and have even worsened the income disparity situation by increasing income inequality to another level. The result confirms the distribution of income of Thai households became more unequal, and an indicative of a tax regime which is regressive at the end. We therefore make a number of policy recommendations on the ensuing situation.

The paper assessed the level of application of the scientific management, administrative and bureaucratic theories in Nigeria organizations with emphasis in Rivers State and their contributions to the organisational performance (productivity and growth) of the surveyed organisations. A sample of 378 staff based on Taro Yemane formula was investigated. Descriptive and inferential statistical tools were used to analyse the data generated in this study. Copies of a questionnaire were used to collect data from the respondents. Also, 316 copies of questionnaire were found valid and relevant for utilization in the study resulting to an overall usable response rate of 83.60 %. The study revealed that the application of the scientific management, administrative and bureaucratic theories in the management of various organizations contributed to low productivity, non-growth, productivity, slow pace of organizational growth and development in the organizations. The study concluded that given the present performances of Nigerian organizations, more needs to be done in the manner and way classical management theories were applied. Workers will be more motivated to perform in a conducive work environment if classical theories are applied with high track of efficiency while reducing unnecessary bureaucracy. It was recommended that, for organizations to achieve the objective of effective and efficient productivity, they must understand, accommodate, embrace and promote people who are dynamic and proactive in the organisation. Organizations should also review periodically their rules, regulations and manuals to ensure current trends in the business environment. Finally, organizations should allow for initiative, innovations and workers participation in decision making.
