La comunicazione in un contesto multiculturale implica la capacità di porsi in maniera dialogica nel rapporto con l'Altro, l'immigrato. Ormai la nostra società è diventata multietnica e pluriculturale, ma la multiculturalià della società non significa incontro e dialogo bensì necessità di creare le condizioni per uno scambio positivo e una reciprocità fondamentale a qualsiasi forma di convivialità. Ed è proprio in questo scenario che il ruolo del mediatore interculturale si rivela di assoluta importanza per garantire tali condizioni.
