Download or read book Any Way the Wind Blows written by Rainbow Rowell and published by Wednesday Books. This book was released on 2021-07-06 with total page 450 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: New York Times bestselling author Rainbow Rowell's epic fantasy, the Simon Snow trilogy, concludes with Any Way the Wind Blows. In Carry On, Simon Snow and his friends realized that everything they thought they understood about the world might be wrong. And in Wayward Son, they wondered whether everything they understood about themselves might be wrong. Now, Simon and Baz and Penelope and Agatha must decide how to move forward. For Simon, that means choosing whether he still wants to be part of the World of Mages — and if he doesn't, what does that mean for his relationship with Baz? Meanwhile Baz is bouncing between two family crises and not finding any time to talk to anyone about his newfound vampire knowledge. Penelope would love to help, but she's smuggled an American Normal into London, and now she isn't sure what to do with him. And Agatha? Well, Agatha Wellbelove has had enough. Any Way the Wind Blows takes the gang back to England, back to Watford, and back to their families for their longest and most emotionally wrenching adventure yet. This book is a finale. It tells secrets and answers questions and lays ghosts to rest. The Simon Snow Trilogy was conceived as a book about Chosen One stories; Any Way the Wind Blows is an ending about endings—about catharsis and closure, and how we choose to move on from the traumas and triumphs that try to define us.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The collection of teachings presented in As It Is, Volume II, is selected from talks given by the Tibetan meditation master, Kyabje Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche between 1994 and 1995. The emphasis in Volume I was on the development stage practice and in Volume II primarily on the completion stage. However, to make such divisions is merely for the convenience of the editors. In the reality of Rinpoche's teaching method, no such separations exist. Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche was someone with extra¬ordinary experience and realization, a fact known throughout the world. It is evident to everyone that he was unlike anyone else when it came to pointing out the nature of mind, and making sure that people both recognized it and had some actual experience. --Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche was an incredible master, both learned and ac¬complished. The great masters of this time -- the 16th Karmapa, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche -- all venerated him as one of their root gurus and a jewel in their crown or¬nament. He was someone who achieved the final realization of the Great Perfection. --Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche The difference between buddhas and sentient beings is that sentient beings are busy fabricating. Our self-existing wakefulness is being altered and contrived and as long as it continues to be so, that long we will wander in samsara. Instead, we need to recognize the nature of mind. Here I am explaining this to give you the idea, of how it is. The next step is for you to experience; intellectual understanding is not enough. You need to actually taste it and realize it. Train till it becomes uninterrupted. --Kyabje Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche

Book excerpt: Donald—a freelance photographer—has lost his artistic eye, his knack for observation, his ability to find beauty and truth in the captured moment. Maybe it’s because his editors are all half his age and insist that beauty can be categorized by brand name, and that truth is defined by their advertisers. His son, Travis, is so eager for a transcendental experience that he repeatedly tries to kill himself. This wry and curiously uplifting story of one man’s struggle to maintain his faith in art, in humanity, and in the clumsy alchemy of love sparkles with wit and originality.

The princess with the cracked glass slipper still mourns unimaginable losses, including the deaths of her son and her best friend. Her lover, Dorian Finley, is in exile in a far northern kingdom. Eleanor and her husband, Crown Prince Gregory of Cartheigh, barely tolerate one another. Her two daughters are the bright stars in what feels like an existence of endless night. Husband and wife travel north on an unexpected diplomatic mission, and Eleanor, Dorian, and Gregory resume their dangerous love triangle, with continued interference from Eleanor’s wily stepsister. Eleanor’s old nemesis, Ezra Oliver, forms a mysterious alliance with an army of vicious, bloodthirsty ogres, pushing Cartheigh to the brink of war. His magical finagling exposes strange connections between Eleanor’s world and our own, and places her precocious, enigmatic daughter, Natalie, in terrible danger. When Gregory suddenly finds himself king, he leans on Dorian and Eleanor’s counsel. With a fledgling monarch on the throne and the enemy amassing in the north, the unlikely triad must unite for the good of the kingdom. Their shared purpose forces Eleanor to rethink years of grudges, resentment, and animosity. As she truly embraces her own power, she finds herself learning to forgive, and asking for forgiveness. The long-awaited conclusion to Stephanie Alexander’s Cracked Slipper Series brings a satisfying resolution to a beloved fairytale. Eleanor’s surprisingly relatable enchanted life is a testament to the power of personal evolution, and a reminder that there are no simple happy endings.

Book The Rainbow Portal of Beliefs

Download or read book The Rainbow Portal of Beliefs written by Søren Krause and published by Austin Macauley Publishers. This book was released on 2022-12-16 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dear Reader, how do you feel about your life? Is it fulfilling and meaningful? Or do you feel that something is missing? During my life journey, I realised that each of us has a mission or a call, which we often tend to be more or less conscious about. And when we succeed in finding it, we become highly motivated to realise it as it provides us with our deepest longings. The call goes far beyond what you can experience through your normal senses and beyond what natural science can explain. Essential human topics like faith, hope and love belong to different concepts, which cannot be proved but only experienced. Furthermore, you will discover that if you identify your call and live it out accordingly, you will experience the most fulfilling and meaningful life. Even better, you become the best version of yourself. As a bonus, you will have an apparent reference whenever you need to make choices that have a far-reaching impact on your life. This book provides you with different perspectives and tools that can encourage you to become the driver in your life. As an aspiration, we follow the complete lifecycle of a person named Senius, who realised during his journey of why be satisfied with less, and learn about all his considerations to find and realise his call. The symbols below illustrate Senius’ call. May you find inspiration to develop your potential for an enriching life that will make you shine like a lighthouse and as an exemplary citizen of the global community. With these wishes, I send you my regards in the name of love and wisdom, Søren Krause.

Book excerpt: Rest in the Rainbow is more than a book—it’s a wake-up call, intended to give you meaningful instruction on how to step into your true identity so that you can strengthen your relationship with God and pursue His calling for your life. As children of God and ambassadors for His Kingdom, our mission is to build up the body of believers and point others in the direction of Christ. There is work that God must do in your heart in order to align it with His before He can work through you. When you read the stories in the Bible, there’s a common theme: God used the most unqualified people to carry out His assignments and work some of His greatest miracles. This is the same God Who still lives today, and He desires to do incredible things in your life and in the lives of others. Through practical advice and exploring dozens of God’s promises, Stephanie shows how God wants us to fully understand our identity in Him, and how to be fully equipped to walk in the authority of our God-given purpose. She reveals the value of godly discipline and discernment in order to give us the right perspective, as well as the necessary steps we must take in order to fulfill our calling. Take heart in His promises—they’ve never been broken.

Book On the Other Side of the Rainbow

Download or read book On the Other Side of the Rainbow written by Lonny Dargavel and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2018-06-29 with total page 287 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The deaths of my parents on consecutive days and with the interference of the enemy caused extreme grief in my life. It did, however, open the door of the spirit world for me in real, very profound, and personal manner. In On the Other Side of the Rainbow, I recount how my grief was transcended by remembering past readings and teachings to strengthen me, and I came to develop abilities to perceive and experience my loved ones who were sharing time with me in the present. The seeking to heal my soul also led me to connect with Jesus in a very real and personal way. His friendship and mentorship has helped me to heal and develop spiritually. He has also provided me with the protection I needed, and he lifted me up when I needed it and continues to daily. Eventually, we grew quite close, as did my relationship with Mother Mary and Michael, the archangel. Without their divine help, I am sure I could not have lasted in the face of the enemy. Encounters with them as well as my loved ones on the other side of life have become normal occurrences. I have also had encounters with other spiritual beings whom I consider allies, such as Buddha, Ganesh, King David, a fairy princess, a British guard from Fort George during the 1812 War, St. Theresa, St. John Paul II, and others. It is especially interesting to see how my parents continued evolving once they reached the other side and how my spiritual growth and relationship with the Lord changed their course as well as my own. Prior to my experiences with the Christian faith, I had followed and had many other firsthand experiences that are based on truths that simply are. Included in this are experiences with past lives and spiritualism, as well as Buddhist teachings and Native American as well. My personal experiences are based on truths and were a guided path that led to my development as a spiritual clairvoyant and light worker. The book starts in more of the self-help variety but soon evolves into a more complex novel that is experiential as well as unique as it embraces many teachings but is not confined by anything that is not based on truth. It eventually broadens onto a serious journey with Christ, but it does not leave out any past experiences and knowledge gained as a result of these truths. It is not typical or confined by any religious teaching, but it does not attempt to say they are not significance or important, quite the opposite. It is, I believe, a guided path from above that is meant to bring together many to break down walls, not build them, as what Jesus desires, as are other teachers and great beings who work together to try to win this world away from the dark side and lead it into a world that desires light and welcomes it when it soon arrives. I hope that my first book helps to achieve some of these.

Book Fly Fishing Guide to the South Platte River

Download or read book Fly Fishing Guide to the South Platte River written by Pat Dorsey and published by Rowman & Littlefield. This book was released on 2018-12-21 with total page 313 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The South Platte River begins high atop the frozen Continental Divide, home to a chain of rugged 13,000-foot, snow-capped peaks. This region comprises lush valleys, meandering meadow streams, and rose-colored, boulder-filled canyons. For generations this area has been a recreation mecca and a fly fisher’s paradise in its purest form. Out of all the trout fisheries in America that are within an hour’s drive of a major metropolitan area, the South Platte River is clearly one of the best. It has become a river shrine to thousands of anglers on an annual basis and for good reason. Throughout the river’s entirety, the South Platte creates a series of reservoirs (Antero, Spinney, Eleven Mile, Cheesman, Strontia Springs, and Chatfield) that provide major metropolitan water storage systems for Denver Water and the City of Aurora. The by-products of these storage facilities are world-class tailwaters that provide anglers with year-round fishing opportunities. Against all odds, the South Platte River remains a world-class trout fishery abundant with some of the most finicky and challenging trout in the world. There’s a common belief among South Platte regulars—if you can catch trout on the South Platte; you can catch trout anywhere in the world. * Completely new maps and updated river, access, and fishing information * Regional experts like Landon Mayer, Greg Blessing, Jeremy Hyatt, Chris Wells, Richard Pilatzke and John Perizzolo, Rick Mikesell and many more, share insider information * New line up of cutting-edge fly patterns * Additional chapters on stillwaters and the Denver Metro Area
