This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 2 Concept ( Tools • Specification ( Tools + Design Stages ( Tools • Implementation ( Tools Figure 1-1. A nominal, multi-stage development process From that beginning, we have progressed to the point where the EDA community at large, including both users and developers of the tools, are interested in more unified environments. Here, the notion is that the tools used at the various stages in the development process need to be able to complement each other, and to communicate with one another efficiently using effective file exchange capabilities. Furthermore, the idea of capturing all the tool support needed for an EDA development into a unified support environment is now becoming a reality. This reality is evidenced by some of the EDA suites we now see emerging, wherein several tool functions are integrated under a common graphical user interface (GUI), with supporting file exchange and libraries to enable all tool functions to operate effectively and synergistically. This concept, which we illustrate in Figure 1- 2, is the true future ofEDA.

Focusing not only on the traditional design methods, it contains all relevant sources of information and tools to assist you in performing your job. This includes software, databases, standards, seminars, conferences and more. The VLSI Handbook answers all your needs in one comprehensive volume at a level that will enlighten and refresh the knowledge of experienced engineers and educate the novice. This one-source reference keeps you current on new techniques and procedures and serves as a review for standard practice. It will be your first choice when looking for a solution.

Book Multichip Module Technology Handbook

Download or read book Multichip Module Technology Handbook written by Philip E. Garrou and published by McGraw-Hill Professional Publishing. This book was released on 1998 with total page 696 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: MCMs are electronic components that house multiple integrated circuits (ICs) upon a single chip. Their use in design allow systems that are faster, hotter and more reliable than those built with standalone ICs. More and more, the speed needs of electronic systems require MCMs. This comprehensive handbook aims to provide designers with the knowledge needed to understand and work with MCMs.

Book Research Perspectives and Case Studies in System Test and Diagnosis

Download or read book Research Perspectives and Case Studies in System Test and Diagnosis written by John W. Sheppard and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "System level testing is becoming increasingly important. It is driven by the incessant march of complexity ... which is forcing us to renew our thinking on the processes and procedures that we apply to test and diagnosis of systems. In fact, the complexity defines the system itself which, for our purposes, is ¿any aggregation of related elements that together form an entity of sufficient complexity for which it is impractical to treat all of the elements at the lowest level of detail . System approaches embody the partitioning of problems into smaller inter-related subsystems that will be solved together. Thus, words like hierarchical, dependence, inference, model, and partitioning are frequent throughout this text. Each of the authors deals with the complexity issue in a similar fashion, but the real value in a collected work such as this is in the subtle differences that may lead to synthesized approaches that allow even more progress. The works included in this volume are an outgrowth of the 2nd International Workshop on System Test and Diagnosis held in Alexandria, Virginia in April 1998. The first such workshop was held in Freiburg, Germany, six years earlier. In the current workshop nearly 50 experts from around the world struggled over issues concerning the subject... In this volume, a select group of workshop participants was invited to provide a chapter that expanded their workshop presentations and incorporated their workshop interactions... While we have attempted to present the work as one volume and requested some revision to the work, the content of the individual chapters was not edited significantly. Consequently, you will see different approaches to solving the same problems and occasional disagreement between authors as to definitions or the importance of factors. ... The works collected in this volume represent the state-of-the-art in system test and diagnosis, and the authors are at the leading edge of that science...”. From the Preface

Book System on Chip Design Languages

Download or read book System on Chip Design Languages written by Anne Mignotte and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-04-17 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the third in a series of books collecting the best papers from the three main regional conferences on electronic system design languages, HDLCon in the United States, APCHDL in Asia-Pacific and FDL in Europe. Being APCHDL bi-annual, this book presents a selection of papers from HDLCon'Ol and FDL'OI. HDLCon is the premier HDL event in the United States. It originated in 1999 from the merging of the International Verilog Conference and the Spring VHDL User's Forum. The scope of the conference expanded from specialized languages such as VHDL and Verilog to general purpose languages such as C++ and Java. In 2001 it was held in February in Santa Clara, CA. Presentations from design engineers are technical in nature, reflecting real life experiences in using HDLs. EDA vendors presentations show what is available - and what is planned-for design tools that utilize HDLs, such as simulation and synthesis tools. The Forum on Design Languages (FDL) is the European forum to exchange experiences and learn of new trends, in the application of languages and the associated design methods and tools, to design complex electronic systems. FDL'OI was held in Lyon, France, around seven interrelated workshops, Hardware Description Languages, Analog and Mixed signal Specification, C/C++ HW/SW Specification and Design, Design Environments & Languages, Real-Time specification for embedded Systems, Architecture Modeling and Reuse and System Specification & Design Languages.
