Book Identifying the Antichrist

Download or read book Identifying the Antichrist written by Paul Wild and published by XinXii. This book was released on 2020-03-24 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “And then shall that Wicked be revealed...” 2 Thessalonians 2:8 In his third book in a series that includes The Timing of the Rapture and Is the United States Mentioned in Bible Prophecy: With a Treatise on the Ezekiel 38 and psalm 83 wars, Paul Wild addresses the incorrect views regarding the antichrist’s origin and characteristics. Much of the speculation regarding the identity of the pivotal person in end-times prophecy has hinged more on identifying powerful, influential men who are perceived as evil rather than uncovering the subtle details of his persona. Paul will: Identify his country of origin and his religious and cultural background Provide details on his physical and intellectual traits Provide details on the timing of his arrival and speculation on his age at that time Challenge the focus on Rome and Europe as his seat of power and place the focus on the Middle East Settle the argument on who Magog is from the Ezekiel 38-39 war narrative and how that war affects the rise and fall of modern nations leading to his ascension Show that the last three yearly Feasts of Israel set the pattern for the rapture of the Church, the repentance of Israel, the ruination of the antichrist, and the return of Jesus. This book is designed to provide the tools for the Body of Christ to identify the wicked man before he emerges on the world scene in order to prepare for the chaos that follows.

Book The Man of Sin

Download or read book The Man of Sin written by Kim Riddlebarger and published by Baker Books. This book was released on 2006-06-01 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The doctrine of the Antichrist is one of the most interesting doctrines found in Scripture, says author Kim Riddlebarger. Unfortunately, it's also one which has been subject to far more speculation than sound biblical exegesis. Until now. Unlike other resources available on the Antichrist, The Man of Sin focuses on Scripture, not contemporary events, to uncover the truth about this mysterious entity. With skilled exegesis Riddlebarger asserts that, contrary to popular speculation, the Antichrist is not a singular individual but a series of beings that will arise to challenge Christ throughout the inter-advental age before culminating in an end-times Antichrist. Backing this claim first in Scripture, Riddlebarger also draws from historical teachings including those of the church fathers, the Reformation, and historic Protestantism, before contrasting this evidence to the sensational interpretations of many contemporary writers. Pastors, teachers, and study groups wanting to understand the doctrine of the Antichrist will find The Man of Sin to be a unique and comprehensive study.

  • Pages : 448 pages

Download or read book Antichrist written by Charles Crismier and published by . This book was released on 2020-08-04 with total page 448 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As panic and chaos mushroom globally, the nations clamor for a "New World Order" - a global government to "save" us amid rising fear. The Bible clearly warns that the planet, having abandoned faith in the Creator God, will embrace a charismatic "savior" who will gain dominion "by flattery" and deceptive seduction. This counterfeit "Christ" -the IMPOSTER- indeed the ANTICHRIST, will be presented gloriously and globally, promising a false salvation, and will soon sweep the world into unprecedented tyrannical rule under Satan's authority. PREPARE YOUR HEART! What will be read here is neither fear mongering nor sensationalism. Rather, it is a sincere, yet sobering, translation of biblical truth intended to woo, to warn and to prepare the peoples of our planet to identify the characteristics of the most tyrannical and terrifying leader ever and soon to rule the world. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Jesus himself warned that most, having abandoned the "fear of the Lord," will be seduced by fear of man to receive a mark -the "mark of the beast," thus declaring their eternal allegiance to Satan. The jury is now out for each of us as we lurch toward history's final hour.

Book Naming the Antichrist

    Book Details:
  • Author : Robert C. Fuller
  • Publisher : Oxford University Press
  • Release : 1996-11-21
  • ISBN : 019802438X
  • Pages : 241 pages

Download or read book Naming the Antichrist written by Robert C. Fuller and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 1996-11-21 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Antichrist, though mentioned a mere four times in the Bible, and then only obscurely, has exercised a tight hold on popular imagination throughout history. This has been particularly true in the U.S., says author Robert C. Fuller, where Americans have tended to view our nation as uniquely blessed by God--a belief that leaves us especially prone to demonizing our enemies. In Naming the Antichrist, Fuller takes us on a fascinating journey through the dark side of the American religious psyche, from the earliest American colonists right up to contemporary fundamentalists such as Pat Robertson and Hal Lindsey. Fuller begins by offering a brief history of the idea of the Antichrist and its origins in the apocalyptic thought in the Judeo-Christian tradition, and traces the eventual 71Gws how the colonists saw Antichrist personified in native Americans and French Catholics, in Anne Hutchinson, Roger Williams, and the witches of Salem, in the Church of England and the King. He looks at the Second Great Awakening in the early nineteenth century, showing how such prominent Americans as Yale president Timothy Dwight and the Reverend Jedidiah Morse (father of Samuel Morse) saw the work of the Antichrist in phenomena ranging from the French Revolution to Masonry. In the twentieth century, he finds a startling array of hate-mongers--from Gerald Winrod (who vilified Roosevelt as a pawn of the Antichrist) to the Ku Klux Klan--who drew on apocalyptic imagery in their attacks on Jews, Catholics, blacks, socialists, and others. Finally, Fuller considers contemporary fundamentalist writers such as Hal Lindsey (author of The Late Great Planet Earth, with some 19 million copies sold), Mary Stewart Relfe (whose candidates for the Antichrist have included such figures as Henry Kissinger, Pope John Paul II, and Anwar Sadat), and a host of others who have found Antichrist in the sinister guise of the European Economic Community, the National Council of Churches, feminism, New Age religions, and even supermarket barcodes and fibre optics (the latter functioning as "the eye of the Antichrist"). Throughout, Fuller reveals in vivid detail how our unique American obsession with the Antichrist reflects the struggle to understand ourselves--and our enemies--within the mythic context of the battle of absolute good versus absolute evil. From the Scofield Reference Bible (no other book had greater impact on the American Antichrist tradition) to the Scopes Monkey Trial, Fuller provides an informative and often startling look at a thread that weaves persistently throughout American religious and cultural life.

Book Understanding End Times Prophecy

Download or read book Understanding End Times Prophecy written by Paul N. Benware and published by Moody Publishers. This book was released on 2006-05-01 with total page 432 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

Book Can We Know

    Book Details:
  • Author : Charles K. Bassett
  • Publisher :
  • Release : 2020-06-07
  • ISBN : 9781735040202
  • Pages : 86 pages

Download or read book Can We Know written by Charles K. Bassett and published by . This book was released on 2020-06-07 with total page 86 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DOES THE BIBLE ACTUALLY PROHIBIT A SEARCH FOR THE ANTICHRIST? At this very moment, the vast majority of prophecy experts are convinced that determining the identity of the Antichrist today is flat impossible. In fact, most pastors say we shouldn't even try to look for him. Despite all the signs which prove the Tribulation is imminent, Church leaders insist that looking for the Antichrist at the present time is a waste of time. Why are preachers and pundits so certain of their position? It's because the apostle Paul apparently said so in his second letter to the Thessalonians.According to Paul, the Body of Christ first must be "taken out of the way"-or, raptured-before the Antichrist can come forward. Only then can the Man of Sin be "revealed" (II Thess. 2:6-8). However, this line of reasoning fails to account for two critical questions: -What is the meaning of the word "revealed" in Paul's letter? -And what does the rest of the Bible say about our ability to learn the identity of the Antichrist before the Rapture takes place? Now, after many years of study, author Charles K. Bassett looks at all of the relevant passages and responds to those questions decisively. "Can We Know?" thoughtfully exposes the fallacies in today's conventional wisdom and presents an intriguing new paradigm regarding the search for the Antichrist. Every pertinent question is answered...and those answers are guaranteed to pleasantly surprise you!

Book Antichrist Before the Day of the Lord

Download or read book Antichrist Before the Day of the Lord written by Alan Kurschner and published by . This book was released on 2013 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many of us have been told that we will be "raptured out of here before the Antichrist arrives." But what if this is wrong? Is this really what the Bible teaches? In this thought-provoking and freshly examined account on the second coming of Christ, Alan Kurschner traces the key topics and passages, providing compelling biblical evidence that the church will first encounter the Antichrist's great tribulation before Christ returns to rapture his people and judge the world. Jesus warns us, "Remember, I have told you ahead of time" (Matt. 24:25). And Paul cautions us, "Let no one in any way deceive you, for that day will not arrive until the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness [Antichrist] is revealed, the son of destruction" (2 Thess. 2:3). Since Jesus and Paul ominously warn us "ahead of time," should this not be an urgent message the church needs to hear? Are we spiritually preparing our hearts to be "overcomers" for what may soon come to pass? Some topics in the book include: Antichrist's Great Tribulation, Jesus' Olivet Discourse, Beginning of Birth Pangs, The Apostasy and Revelation of the Antichrist, The Archangel Michael the Restrainer, The Seven Seals, The Rapture of God's People, Celestial Disturbance Event, Sixth Seal Signals Impending Wrath, The Shekinah Sign, "Gather His Elect", The Thessalonian Letters, Where Do Believers Go after the Rapture?, Four Reasons the Rapture Is in Matthew 24:31, The Jewish Remnant Protected for Future Israel, The Day of the Lord that Jesus Knew, Jesus on Back-to-Back Rapture and Wrath, Seventh Seal Pronounces Wrath, Seven Tormenting Trumpets of God's Wrath, Blitzing Bowls and Battle of Armageddon, Key Terms Related to the Return of Christ, Parallels between Jesus and Paul, Proposed Structure to the Book of Revelation, Expectancy Not Imminency, What Did the Early Church Believe? Also included: Kurschner engages his end-time theology (eschatology) of the prewrath perspective with other positions such as pretribulationism, posttribulationism, and preterism.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Louie Giglio helps you find encouragement, hope, and strength in the midst of any valley as you reject the enemy voices of fear, rage, lust, insecurity, anxiety, despair, temptation, or defeat. Scripture is clear: the Enemy is a liar who will stop at nothing to tempt you into poor decisions and self-defeating mindsets, making you feel afraid, angry, anxious, or defeated. It is all too easy for Satan to weasel his way into a seat at the table intended for only you and your King. But you can fight back. Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table outlines the ways to overcome those lies so you can find peace and security in any challenging circumstance or situation. With the same bold, exciting approach to Scripture as employed in Goliath Must Fall and his other previous works, pastor Louie Giglio examines Psalm 23 in fresh ways, highlighting verse 5: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." You can find freedom from insecurity, temptation, and defeat--if you allow Jesus, the Shepherd, to lead the battle for your mind and heart. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For centuries, man has endeavored to lend credence and meaning to the Biblical references of The Antichrist and to find the answers to the questions inherent within those references: Who is he? Where will he come from? What will he look like? And how will we recognize him? In this definitive commentary on our current state of political affairs, Bible scholar and freelance writer, Lawrence Moelhauser will take you on an eye-opening and thought-provoking journey to attempt to answer those questions within the context of the attitudes, behaviors, and political aspirations of the Republican Presidential Nominee, Mr. Donald J. Trump. Mr. Moelhauser shows us how Donald Trump's lies and rhetoric feed off people's worst fears to spread hate, racism, misogyny, Islam-a-phobia, unabashed bigotry, and discrimination, and how that rhetoric coincides, point for point, with the prophesies regarding The Antichrist, with frightening accuracy. Through careful research, Mr. Moelhauser addresses the attributes of The Antichrist, as presented in the Bible, and then compares those attributes with examples from the Presidential Campaign trail and Mr. Trump's meteoric rise to the forefront of the US Political stage. By presenting clear and concise parallels, Mr. Moelhauser encourages readers to engage in conversation and further research, and to answer for themselves the question: Is Donald Trump The Antichrist?

Book 1 and 2 Thessalonians

Download or read book 1 and 2 Thessalonians written by Ralph F. Wilson and published by . This book was released on 2013-01 with total page 150 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The new church at Thessalonica is under fierce attack. Opposing Jewish leaders have caused a riot and driven the church-planting team out of town. But amazingly, against all odds, the new congregation begins to grow and attract converts from the pagan population of the city. What's more, it becomes a model congregation among the fledging Christian movement in the Mediterranean region. 1 and 2 Thessalonians, written about 50 AD, are the earliest documents in the New Testament. They reveal the Apostle Paul's heart and passion as he seeks to guide this congregation towards health and balance. In 1 and 2 Thessalonians you'll learn important truths about Christ's coming -- specifically regarding the rapture and the Antichrist. Paul explains how to deal with overly-dependent members, God's grace in selecting his children, the heart and character of a disciple-maker, a high view of sexual purity, and keys to a healthy Christian congregation. This volume covers the two letters in nine lessons. Classes and small groups will find this a helpful curriculum guide to their study 1 and 2 Thessalonians with links to free participant handouts, as well as thorough preparation for the leader. Thought-provoking questions will stimulate many insightful discussions. These heavily-footnoted lessons provide most of the research that preachers and teachers will need. At the same time, these lessons will inspire and challenge the individual reader to grow as a disciple.
