Book Ibos of Nigeria and Their Cultural Ways

Download or read book Ibos of Nigeria and Their Cultural Ways written by Columbus O. Okoroike and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2009 with total page 214 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is about the Ibos of southeastern Nigeria, whose language is Igbo. This very uniquely distinct ethnic group of people have been accused of being tenacious in their belief, audacious in their venture, intense in their resistance and unrelenting in their persistence. The book is aimed at creating awareness and a more comfortable feeling toward Igbo speaking people and their culture. It is a culture that must not be forgotten, a heritage that is gradually being lost in our over-excitement and eagerness to Europeanize. The conventionalized Igbo signs, gestures, the admissible expressions, idioms, folk-tales, folk-songs, vocabulary and phraseology, truly have no close substitutes in English language. A culture that thrives on self-reliance, equality, democracy and healthy competition. You are invited to read and know a people obsessed with the desire for self-improvement through education and learning, who also are open to new ideas and easily adaptable to change. The book is a first of its kind by an Ibo man who sees the urgent and pressing need to preserve the Igbo language, traditions and cultural heritage, so that our children and future generations of Ibos and Ibo lovers will be educated and passed on the Igbo diction and the people's source of strength and power. It will also prepare anyone on what to expect, going, meeting and doing business with the people, as it answers basic questions and clears misconceptions.

The students in the classroom can be natural inquirers who through connections they discover make sense of the world and the things and ideas they pursue and question. These students, just as humankind from its beginning journey and exploration, use a fundamental approach to observe, investigate and probe to understand the world. Book Ibos Hebrew Exiles from Israel Reprinting

Download or read book Ibos Hebrew Exiles from Israel Reprinting written by O. Alaezi and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2013-12-20 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Hebrew's (Nation of Yisrael) have been scattered throughout the world. The Worldly system has suppressed who the Hebrew's (the twelve tribes) are for many years. It has been a well-known fact that they were part of the Atlantic slave trade, among other persecutions that have been recorded throughout history. The interesting thing is at some point History has become His-story. People, governments, the education system have gone through great lengths to hide a lot of history. A professor out of Nigeria did an extensive research to locate some of ancient Hebrews. His book called the Ibos has created a lot of controversy, and his book has been rejected to enter into the U.S. One has to reason, why are they not allowing this information out for those that desire to learn more about the people of the scriptures? We have decided to reprint this book and share his research with those who desire to learn about what happen to part of the Hebrews in history. This is not an attack on any race at all. This is to bring some clarity on some things that have been suppressed for years, and to help Israel wake up and understand who they are. This is a must have in your library. We pray this book gives you an appreciation for what this Professor has done in hope to learn some true history. There is more to this story. We will in the future do a revised version of this book to give more history about the ancient Hebrews that has been called the 10 lost tribes, as well as the tribe of Judah (Yahudah).
