Book Training Tomorrow s Floorball Players

Download or read book Training Tomorrow s Floorball Players written by Jukka Aro and published by BoD - Books on Demand. This book was released on 2020-03-12 with total page 318 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The amount of information a floorball player is faced with, and processing during a game is amazing. You have your own teammates moving and communicating, the movements and actions of the opponents, meanwhile you need to position yourself, be aware of your body, switch between offense and defense, take quick decisions and respond to things happening around you, sometimes with the ball, sometimes without, while everything is happening in a very high speed. This can be compared with bandwidth on internet, slow connection and you feel a lot of disruptions in everything you do, or try to do. With a high speed connection the information processing and switching between tasks will be smooth and flawless. When you increase your floorball players "bandwidth" during the floorball practices, with challenging multitasking drills with reduced time you actually do the opposite for the feeling of the game, you slowdown the game for them thanks to higher "bandwidth". This is exactly the purpose of this book, to give you the understanding, tools and methods to increase the "bandwidth", with nonlinear or multidimensional floorball drills and coaching for all of your players. The key is to increase the challenge all the time for all of your players, otherwise the development curve will flat out, if you don't push it further. Let's push it further!

Book Inspired Parenting

Download or read book Inspired Parenting written by Dorka Herner and published by Pinter & Martin Publishers. This book was released on 2020-02-27 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Inspired Parenting, psychologist and mother-of-five Dorka Herner shows through practical, everyday examples how we can reflect on our own parenting and see our interactions with our children through fresh eyes. What our children do can reveal much about ourselves as parents: if a five-year-old won't go to sleep alone, who needs evening cuddles, us or him? If we are bothered when our child is bored, is it because we view ourselves as useless unless we are ticking off tasks? If we think our children are careless, is it because we are too perfectionist? By understanding ourselves better, we can see the nuances in how we live together as families and appreciate that our relationships can be complex. By thinking deeply and honestly, we can see more clearly how to build the type of life we want for ourselves and our children, and how to genuinely enjoy the challenges and rewards of raising them. With a down-to-earth and realistic approach, the book invites us to examine the details of parenting and learn valuable lessons about ourselves in the process.

Hats off to the author!’ (Jean-Denis Côté, ‘Québec français’.) In the weeks following the end of World War II, we follow the adventures of a five-year-old boy as he lives secluded in his home, shut off from the rest of the world by his mother, who’s developed an irrepressible fear of him getting hurt should she ever let him go outside and play with other children. Helped along by his wheelchair-bound grandfather, a man who’s lost the use of his voice after a stroke and who never stops encouraging him to dream, the cloistered Julien is nonetheless determined to discover all of the secrets life has to offer. Peering through the doorway of his wardrobe, his favorite hiding place, Julien observes the adults evolving all around him, using the power of his imagination to try and understand their odd behavior. Spending long moments sitting in front of the window, he longs for freedom, dreaming of what it would be like to be tree, as his mother would always know that he’s never far from home and that he’s always safe. But over the course of his young life, Julien will become an involuntary witness to family dramas that will shake him to his very foundations for years to come.
