Book I Know You Are Hurting Spend Time with DaD

Download or read book I Know You Are Hurting Spend Time with DaD written by Diann Duby and published by . This book was released on 2021-06-09 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With tiny wrinkles and cries, he entered the world, and wrapped in strips of cloth, he took his first nap on a bed of straw. Subject to time and to parents, he grew to manhood, his gentle hands becoming strong and calloused in Joseph's woodworking shop. As a man, he walked through the countryside and city, touching individuals, preaching to crowds, and training twelve men to carry on His work. Throughout His journey here, He would seek Daily Direction with the Heavenly Father. At every step, he was hounded by those seeking to rid the world of His influence. Jesus continued to stay focused on his purpose. Finally, falsely accused and tried, He was condemned to a disgraceful execution, and He died, spat upon, cursed, pierced by nails, and hung heavenward for all to ridicule and scorn, treated like He was worthless. If there is anyone in the world (and He was in the world) who knows how you feel, it is Jesus. He has walked your walk, He knows your hurt, and He decided to take one more walk for you, and that was straight to the cross. He overcame the world and all its insults and hurts and sin, and now through the Bible, He wants to sit with you and tell you how to stay focused on the promises of the Bible. We all have a purpose in this world, and that is to share the Gospel with others. You need Daily Direction. He knows because He has been there. Jesus would seek Daily Direction throughout his journey here on earth. He approached the Heavenly Father daily, whether it was going off by Himself praying or speaking and encouraging the crowds and pointing them to the Father. It is the author's hope and prayer that you use the Bible references at the end of each chapter to strengthen your personal relationship with your Heavenly Father as Jesus did. When all is said and done, it is still all about Jesus.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "No matter how broken you are, you are still God's creation, and only He knows how to put you back together again. I believe that through the life I lived, as shared in Satan's Underground, I have begun to learn a little bit about God's way of dealing with emotional pain. No matter what the trouble, His answers remain the same. And so it is my prayer that, as I share some of these answers with you, you will find hope and healing for your hurting heart." from I Know You're Hurting In the fall of 1992, Pelican published Lauren Stratford's breakthrough work, I Know You're Hurting: Living Through Emotional Pain . This book speaks to people who have been victims of any abuse-physical, emotional, or spiritual. Though Lauren Stratford draws on to her own experiences as a survivor of ritual abuse by a satanic cult, the important lessons-reclaiming one's spirituality and cultivating a sense of self-worth-are helpful for anyone who has felt the pain of abuse. I Know You're Hurting was also originally published by Harvest House but was only released for a short time due to the growing controversy associated with Satan's Underground, Lauren Stratford's previous book, which tackles the same issues. By publishing I Know You're Hurting, Pelican demonstrated that it believed in Stratford's story, which it continues to stand behind today. I Know You're Hurting is a significant contribution to the spiritual recovery market for its valid insight into a growing area of abuse that few are willing to talk about. Also, it also has a general focus, which has an important role in the mainstream self-help market.

Book Primal Loss

Download or read book Primal Loss written by Leila Miller and published by Lcb Publishing. This book was released on 2017-05-20 with total page 326 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Seventy now-adult children of divorce give their candid and often heart-wrenching answers to eight questions (arranged in eight chapters, by question), including: What were the main effects of your parents' divorce on your life? What do you say to those who claim that "children are resilient" and "children are happy when their parents are happy"? What would you like to tell your parents then and now? What do you want adults in our culture to know about divorce? What role has your faith played in your healing? Their simple and poignant responses are difficult to read and yet not without hope. Most of the contributors--women and men, young and old, single and married--have never spoken of the pain and consequences of their parents' divorce until now. They have often never been asked, and they believe that no one really wants to know. Despite vastly different circumstances and details, the similarities in their testimonies are striking; as the reader will discover, the death of a child's family impacts the human heart in universal ways.

  • ISBN : 9781500158491
  • Pages : 72 pages

Download or read book I Miss My Daddy written by Dreama Collins and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2014-06-11 with total page 72 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I put this book together for several reasons. My hope is to help others going through the loss of their father or anyone close to them whether past, present or future. My desire is to also help to heal the hurting hearts of those who have shared their stories with you in this book. What a loving tribute to their dads to tell the world how much they love them and that they will be remembered forever. And lastly but not least to honor my own father and to make him proud of me by doing what he last told me to do, “keep helping others”. So to you the reader if you are experiencing the pain of having lost your dad or if you know that you're going to lose your dad or know someone who is or has, thank you for purchasing this book. And I hope through the stories found in it's pages you find strength and courage and hope. Because it's my belief that our life doesn't end just because we no longer reside on this earth, but that we continue to exist in a higher place and in the hearts of those who love and miss us. In this book you will also find tidbits on how to deal with other things that can cause us to grieve. Things that you'll probably be surprised to learn we have the right to grieve over. What do we grieve for? You'd be surprised at what warrants our grief. We all grieve over the death of someone we love and we know we grieve over the loss of our pets. But did you know that we also have the right to grieve over the loss of a relationship, a job, a home... all of these things are worthy of a mourning period. The loss of anything that we hold dear and has held a prominent place in our lives and/or hearts causes us sorrow and pain and is worth taking the time to mourn and heal. In this book others share their stories and it's comforting to see where they are in their journey. Losing someone is heart breaking but losing someone as prominent in our lives as our fathers changes us forever. Some of these ladies are in the beginning and you can feel their pain and anger and sense of disconnection with the rest of the world and yet you will also read stories of those who have had time to process and heal and grow. It's my hope that their stories will also give you hope to see that while yes this does change who you are at your core forever... it changes you for the better... that same pain that is causing you to hurt so much now... is the same pain that is going to allow you, in fact help you get stronger and move you into the next phase of your life... IF you allow yourself the time... the respect... to grieve.

Book Estimated Time of Departure

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Death is inevitable, and yet the vast majority of the developed world seems to want to ignore this fact and avoid the sad inevitability. However, death is an inevitability, and trying to avoid talking about it is a mistake. Estimated Time of Departure takes readers on a journey of one man and his family having these discussions and how powerfully loving and revealing they were. In this funny, moving, poignant memoir, William Donaldson tells the story of how he talked with his parents over an extended period about their end-of-life thoughts and philosophy. He shares the sad, funny, maddening, sweet, and rewarding sides of this journey and makes a compelling and impassioned plea to readers to not miss this opportunity. They were not without sadness and challenges, but by virtue of talking and exploring the topic, the family came closer together and the inevitable passing became, while still sad, a cathartic, deeply rewarding event. Estimated Time of Departure was written to give readers the courage to have these discussions and shows that hope, love, and reverence can be seen by having them.

Book excerpt: "It rained for three weeks straight, a hard, steady rain. The first sighting of me came after that, as the fog gathered its skirts and tiptoed out of the woods, and things began to dry, to look upward at the sun, and grow. A young boy found my body, it was Leroy Wilson's son, and that evening his mother saw my spirit walking through their apple orchard when she was putting the cows in. Back then, that first night, my spirit was so dense she thought I was a real physical person, she thought it was me, alive, and she called out to me but I kept going. An hour later her son came clashing into the kitchen with the news of my bones." Decades later, called back by her bright and restless granddaughters, Moondust reawakens to finish her story and find her peace. A simple and compelling story of faith, hope and freedom for women of all ages... and for women FROM all ages!
