Book Any Way the Wind Blows

Download or read book Any Way the Wind Blows written by Rainbow Rowell and published by Wednesday Books. This book was released on 2021-07-06 with total page 450 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: New York Times bestselling author Rainbow Rowell's epic fantasy, the Simon Snow trilogy, concludes with Any Way the Wind Blows. In Carry On, Simon Snow and his friends realized that everything they thought they understood about the world might be wrong. And in Wayward Son, they wondered whether everything they understood about themselves might be wrong. Now, Simon and Baz and Penelope and Agatha must decide how to move forward. For Simon, that means choosing whether he still wants to be part of the World of Mages — and if he doesn't, what does that mean for his relationship with Baz? Meanwhile Baz is bouncing between two family crises and not finding any time to talk to anyone about his newfound vampire knowledge. Penelope would love to help, but she's smuggled an American Normal into London, and now she isn't sure what to do with him. And Agatha? Well, Agatha Wellbelove has had enough. Any Way the Wind Blows takes the gang back to England, back to Watford, and back to their families for their longest and most emotionally wrenching adventure yet. This book is a finale. It tells secrets and answers questions and lays ghosts to rest. The Simon Snow Trilogy was conceived as a book about Chosen One stories; Any Way the Wind Blows is an ending about endings—about catharsis and closure, and how we choose to move on from the traumas and triumphs that try to define us.

Book Notes and Commentary to Jock s Life of Mo

Download or read book Notes and Commentary to Jock s Life of Mo written by CF Hibbot and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2016-03-26 with total page 378 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life of Mo is a musical satire based on the life of the Prophet Mohammed. These explanatory notes, which include the full text of Life of Mo, attempt to determine the sources of the play's material, and offer further explanatory notes regarding the themes and ideas raised in the play. Superficially, Life of Mo is a musical fantasy romp, combining stories with re-writes of songs by popular artists like Dolly Parton, Freddy Mercury, Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, Led Zeppelin, Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman and others. But Life of Mo has a deeper grounding, and its sources include original texts (the Qur'an, ahadith, and Bible), and commentaries by writers like William Muir, Robert Spencer, Ali Dashti and Ali Sina. In addition, the writer has also used Internet sources, like Wikipedia, YouTube and Reddit. CF Hibbot's Notes and Commentary to Jock's Life of Mo traces through the humour and the tragedy to render a deeper appreciation and understanding of the play and the subject matter covered.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is about good people that are done wrong by evil people. But the evil people get what they have coming usually without a Judge or Jury. Karen was driving on a narrow country road. It was late in the fall. It was a cold rain. Soon it was raining harder and she slowed to forty. There wasn’t much traffic on that road so she was OK. Then one came up behind her fast making it hard to see. She wished that one was in front of her instead of behind. Her wish was about to come true however because the driver started around her in a blind curve. Then what was not supposed to happen did. They met a car. As she looked to the left, all she could see was green, a very particular color, a light florescent green, so bright in the evening rain. As the driver floored the dually, trying to get around, she heard it real plain. A hot rod diesel. The driver took her out rather than hit the oncoming car head on. She went down a bank and centered a big oak tree. She ended up down where nobody could see her. She stayed most of the night not knowing weather she will bleed to death or freeze to death. Either way she was going to die. Then two paramedics came just in time before she passes out for the second time. She awoke to find herself on the floor of the ambulance. Then she began to wonder about these paramedics. She remembered smelling beer on one of them. Now she is on the floor They didn’t even strap me to the gurney. Soon she realized there was no gurney, this was no ambulance but a work van. She was laying among power tools, saws, drills and the like. She had to get out of that van, whenever they stop for gas or something . . . . But they didn’t stop. She was with them what ever and where ever.
