Tamara Fumagalli nasce a Lecco il 15 luglio 1978. Nel 2002 si laurea in Lingue e Letterature Straniere con lode presso l’Università degli Studi di Bergamo e, dopo aver conseguito l’abilitazione all’insegnamento, insegna inglese alla scuola secondaria di primo grado. Sposata dal 2008, ha una figlia nata nel 2010 e vive in un piccolo paese nella Brianza lecchese. Ha pubblicato la tesi di laurea “La Brianza. Il territorio brianteo attraverso le descrizioni di viaggiatori più o meno illustri” Editore: L’Autore Libri Firenze (pubblicato 2006). Tamara ama viaggiare, soprattutto nel Nord Europa. Proprio l’amore per il Nord Europa ha portato Tamara a conoscere le tradizioni e le atmosfere natalizie di questi luoghi. A partire dal 2 novembre fino all’inizio di gennaio la casa di Tamara si trasforma in un villaggio elfico natalizio contornata da ghirlande di pino e agrifoglio, che emanano profumo di cannella e cardamomo, aromi che danzano sulle note delle musiche natalizie per mescolarsi alle calde luci che illuminano le tante decorazioni raccolte nei viaggi al Nord. Chi va a trovare Tamara in questo periodo non può esentarsi dal godere di questa atmosfera, accompagnata da biscotti speziati e una tazza di cioccolata calda o di vin brulé.
