But when I spoke that last day of the mission, I could hear that pin fall while I delivered my first message from God to those same young but quiet and attentive Lambs of Christ. It was then that I knew He would use me again. I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me. Book excerpt: “You have a call, Elder Wilder.” When missionary Micah Wilder set his sights on bringing a Baptist congregation into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he had no idea that he was the one about to be changed. Yet when he finally came to know the God of the Bible, Micah had no choice but to surrender himself—no matter the consequences. For a passionate young Mormon who had grown up in the Church, finding authentic faith meant giving up all he knew: his community, his ambitions, and his place in the world. Yet as Micah struggled to reconcile the teachings of his Church with the truths revealed in the Bible, he awakened to his need for God’s grace. This led him to be summoned to the door of the mission president, terrified but confident in the testimony he knew could cost him everything. Passport to Heaven is a gripping account of Micah’s surprising journey from living as a devoted member of a religion based on human works to embracing the divine mercy and freedom that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

Book Practical Breakthrough Prayer Declarations Confessions

Download or read book Practical Breakthrough Prayer Declarations Confessions written by Chris Gbenle and published by Nielsen. This book was released on 2020-10-20 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the early days of Church history, confession of belief has always been a central part of our precious faith. Various convocations and councils were called through the centuries to look into what the bona fide follower of Jesus Christ should believe and hold on to as the ground and basis of their belief. These early fathers of our faith based their call to clear confession of faith on the word of our Lord Himself - For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." Matthew 12: 37. The Lord also told us that - For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea, ' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11: 23. The Lord placed a lot of emphasis on what a person says as much as what the person does. Our words are the threads we use to weave the tapestry called our lives. The quality and attractiveness of the tapestry can be traced back to the threads used to weave them. While the words we use in our daily activities are important, the words we use in prayers are much more important. Words are powerful and prayer is said to be the greatest force on earth. While there are prayers of petition and supplication in which we plead with the Lord to intervene in situations and circumstances; there are also prayers of bold confessions and declarations. Many prophets of old put their convictions into prayers in a bold confessional manner, and the Lord honoured their words. David spoke boldly of what he expected the Lord to do when he was about to face Goliath as recorded in 1 Samuel 17: 46 - 47.The purpose of these prayers is to speak them out (confess) as much as it is possible. There is power in our confession. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." Matthew 12: 37. There is much power in prayerful confessions, and confessions of prayers. The point must however be made that confessional and declarative prayers are bona fide means of addressing heaven when there is a need and the earth cannot but respond.

Book Confessions of a Young Man

Download or read book Confessions of a Young Man written by George Moore and published by Graphic Arts Books. This book was released on 2021-11-16 with total page 127 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Confessions of a Young Man (1888) is a memoir by George Moore. Originally written in French, it is a record of his life in Paris as a young man with money and dreams to spare. Controversial for its depictions of bohemianism and pointed critique of Victorian morality, Confessions of a Young Man has been recognized as an invaluable portrait of nineteenth century Paris and the geniuses who struggled to reshape art in their image. Degas. Renoir. Monet. Zola. Their names are now immortal, instant reminders of their influence on the visual and literary arts. In the 1870s, however, and throughout their lifetimes, they were artists struggling to hone their craft and gain recognition for their work. Into their world came the young George Moore, an Irishman who thought he was a painter and would eventually make his own name as a pioneering modernist writer. In Confessions of a Young Man, he offers his experience and impressions of bohemian life in Paris, a place where the temptations of flesh, drugs, and alcohol led many a young artist astray. In this murky world, he will draw inspiration for his groundbreaking stories and novels in the realist style. With a beautifully designed cover and professionally typeset manuscript, this edition of George Moore’s Confessions of a Young Man is a classic of Irish literature reimagined for modern readers.

We can have a miracle from God, for God is a miracle worker. And He has recorded many of His miracles in His Word, the Bible. Rather than running around searching for needed miracles, Osteen shows us how to put the power of God's Word into daily practice. Book excerpt: What did Napoleon Bonaparte, Henry Ford, and Andrew Carnegie all have in common as the key to their success? They each had immense confidence in their goals. They left no room or quarter for failure. They had faith. Author Paul Ramseyer takes the works of Napoleon Hill, a leading expert on success, and shows readers how to apply the same principles to their faith in God. Paul discovered how to use this power to drive stage 4 cancer out of his body. He also shows the reader how the Bible commands that requests in prayer be made in faith. He goes on to explain how this required faith is the only method we have to reach our full potential. With examples drawn from the most successful men in history, Paul doesn't just tell you to have faith, but teaches how you, like they, can decide to claim it and then gives detailed instructions how you can put it to work on your behalf. Are people sick, stuck in poverty, or victims to repeating sins? He shows readers that they don't have to be. In faith, all things are possible. With the Mechanics of Faith, readers are able to see how faith works to produce in their lives the results that they have been promised. Paul Ramseyer lives in Bloomfield, Iowa. In 2006, Paul learned from the past masters of industry and technology and the Bible how to drive stage four cancer from his body and is called to teach people everywhere how they too can be overcomers and not mere victims of circumstance.

Book The Breaking of the Outer Man and the Release of the Spirit

Download or read book The Breaking of the Outer Man and the Release of the Spirit written by Watchman Nee and published by Living Stream Ministry. This book was released on 1997-06 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Every Christian who has believed into Christ and received Him has a desire to grow in Him. The greatest hindrances to the experience of the growth in life are not outward circumstances and environmental hardships; rather, they are a mind in need of renewing, a will in need of submission to God, and an emotion in need of stability. In the Breaking of the Outer Man and the Release of the Spirit Watchman Nee provides a clear picture of the need for the breaking of the outer man so that the life of Christ in our spirit can flow out as rivers of living water to refresh and build up the people of God. In a new and revised translation of this spiritual classic, Watchman Nee provides crucial insight into the Biblical revelation of the necessity of the dividing of our soul from our spirit"--Back cover
