When that fails, he decides to shoot Hunt and prepares for an ambush. Asa is sent to Bailey to arrest a killer, and when he doesn't return, Hunt decides to travel to Bailey to find out where his deputy is. Hunt finds him near death and needs to rescue him and arrest the man Asa was sent to arrest. Hunt visits his cattle ranches to estimate the number of beef and pork to sell and prepares to have them shipped to market. A cattle ranch in Montana is claiming much more land than it actually owns and is killing anyone found crossing its land. Hunt sends his men to arrest the ranch owner, and the arrest ends in gunplay and a cattle and horse roundup. Readers are invited to join Hunt on this suspenseful and emotional roller coaster.
