An instant before the crash, the passenger side door opened, and she was joined by the spirit of her cousin who had died in a fall into a telephone pole at age ten. He told her it was time to lie down, and her left hand moved into the place her head had been and took the blow from the windshield when the small truck crashed. They were both then outside the truck looking at her body through the back window. He told her she had to go back, and when she asked why, she saw a picture of her mother and knew that her mother would not be able to endure it like his mother had and that her own child could not be without her. She then found herself back inside her body in the crash. To the believer, this says the spirits of all souls who have ever been on earth can return in an understandable form when there is need among those they love and protect. The nonbeliever says the visit from the spirit and the out-of-body experience were in my daughter's mind only. But to bring that image into her mind also means that she must have known that she was not supposed to die at that time. Things do happen because they were destined to take place.
