En effet, enseigner n'est pas un acte aussi aisé qu'on le pense, tout comme l'acte d'apprendre. Beaucoup d'enseignants ne comprennent pas pourquoi leurs élèves ne comprennent pas et butent le jour de l'examen sur des exercices qui paraissent à leur portée. Plusieurs facteurs explicatifs entrent en jeu, parmi lesquels la méconnaissance des mécanismes et des stratégies de l'apprentissage. Le travail d'un enseignant non formé à la pédagogie et à la didactique où il découvre la plus-value des théories de l'apprentissage, ne peut pas être fructueux et ne peut pas aboutir à un enseignement stratégique, efficace et capable de modifier les représentations initiales des élèves. C'est pour cela que j'ai essayé de synthétiser l'apport de ces théories pour mettre en exergue leur plus-value pédagogique et didactique et leurs implications sur le plan éducatif tout en insistant sur les différences entre ces écoles théoriques à travers des exemples concrets inhérents au processus de l'enseignement apprentissage.
