This book was released on 2016-05-26 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Milton Hyland Erickson used his Non-Awareness Set often, and hypnotized people deeply. Often his subjects were hypnotized before they knew the hypnosis session had even begun. Erickson perfected this over the years and used it brilliantly. You'll use it brilliantly too!... This book details for you the secrets behind Erickson's success using this top-secret hypnosis formula. The technique is easy to implement and your hypnotic subjects won't know what's hit them when you use it, as you'll learn in this book. The top covert hypnotists in the world use this very technique when they hypnotize. This is a very powerful and effective way to employ conversational hypnosis with an almost guaranteed success rate. You'll be able to hypnotize people without them knowing they're even being hypnotized. Once hypnotized, people will do whatever you instruct them to do, not even knowing they're complying with everything you're telling them to do. This is a great way to powerfully drop people into deep states of hypnosis and have them experience deep trance therapy. They way this formula works can be applied to any hypnosis context and can be used when everything else has failed you. If you want to hypnotize people like Erickson did, then own this book. Book Alternative States of Consciousness in Shamanism Imaginal Psychotherapies Hypnotherapy and Meditation Including a Shamanism and Meditation Inspired Personal and Professional Training Program for the 21st Century Psychotherapist

Download or read book Alternative States of Consciousness in Shamanism Imaginal Psychotherapies Hypnotherapy and Meditation Including a Shamanism and Meditation Inspired Personal and Professional Training Program for the 21st Century Psychotherapist written by Allen Holmquist and published by Universal-Publishers. This book was released on 2009-08 with total page 599 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Shamanism, hypnosis, imaginal psychotherapies, and meditation are based on the use of what we in the modern western world think of as non-ordinary human consciousness. These four modalities have fundamental similarities and differences in purpose, theory, technique, type of alternative consciousness, and their application of non-ordinary reality. Shamanism, the oldest and most intertwined with the cultures in which it is practiced, will be explored as a model for individual healing and transformation and professional training. The shamanic way will also be explored as a model of consciousness and a world-view that offers individuals, groups, and society much needed coping mechanisms, healing techniques, and transformative values that may be helpful in dealing with this trying and important transition time for humanity. Imaginal therapies, meditation and hypnosis all have their roots in shamanism, although in some parts of the world at certain times in history, shamanism borrowed from meditation in its adaptation and development.

Book Understanding Latino Families

Download or read book Understanding Latino Families written by Ruth E. Zambrana and published by SAGE Publications. This book was released on 1995-06-05 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Offering an integrated, culturally sensitive focus, Understanding Latino Families presents a dynamic new approach to the study of Latino families. This new approach centers on the strengths of Latino/Hispanic groups, the structural processes that impede their progress, and the cultural and familial processes that enhance their intergenerational adaptation and resiliency. A leading group of scholars clearly presents social and demographic profiles of Latino groups in the United States, empirical and conceptual reviews of Latino family approaches, and practice and policy implications from studies of Latino social programs. Included for discussion are such salient topics as the economic well-being of Latino families, prospects for Latino children and adolescents, the adjustment of Central American refugee families, and Latino child and family health concerns. Researchers, scholars, and students in the fields of ethnic studies, family studies, sociology, social work, and psychology will find Understanding Latino Families an invaluable resource. "Understanding Latino Families is a timely edition of the Understanding Families series distributed by Sage Publications. In a political climate of economic discord and social change, this book highlights the ways many Latino families struggle to succeed in the face of factors related to immigration, labor for transformations, cultural incongruence with dominant society, cross-force transformations, cultural incongruence with the dominant society, cross-generational acculturation patterns, and racism. . . . Adding veracity to the social policy debate, Understanding Latino Families presents social and demographic profiles of Latino groups in the United States, empirical and conceptual reviews of Latino family approaches, and practice and policy implications from studies of Latino social problems." --Cultural Diversity and Mental Health "Understanding Latino Families presents an excellent new approach to the study of Latino family structures: one which considers ethnic group strengths, family actions, and the processes that enhance resiliency. This makes for quite a scholarly, probing study." --The Midwest Book Review "College-level students of social service will appreciate having a new approach that considers the collective group strengths of Hispanics and the processes that enhance their adaptation process. Scholars present reviews of Latino family groups in this country and discuss their social and economic patters." --The Bookwatch "For researchers and students in the fields of ethnic studies, family studies, sociology, and social work, this book offers a culturally sensitive approach to the study of Latino families. Featured are social and demographic profiles of Latino groups, empirical reviews of Latino families, approaches, and practice and policy implications from studies of Latino social programs. Other topics include the prospects for Latino children and adolescents, child and family health concerns, and the adjustment of Central American refugee families." --Journal of Social Work Education "Understanding Latino Families is an important contribution and a badly needed addition to the field of family studies. This book provides a wealth of information about the contemporary status of Latino families. It will immediately become a basic source for introducing readers to this topic and will inform both specialists and students of various levels of sophistication. This book is especially strong in giving the reader an appreciation for the great diversity that exists in the racial and ethnic composition that characterizes the membership of Latino families. Of the existing work on this topic, this edited book is the best collection . . . in the social sciences. I am convinced that academics and professionals in the fields of child development, sociology, and social work can benefit greatly by reading this book. This collection will also be a valuable tool for graduate students in all these fields. Selected chapters that are less theoretically based might also be beneficial for undergraduates who are taking university courses on ethnic diversity." --Gary W. Peterson, Arizona State University, Tempe

Book Approaching the World s Religions Volume 2

Download or read book Approaching the World s Religions Volume 2 written by Robert Boyd and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2017-06-20 with total page 261 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Evangelical theology strives to be evangelical, conservative, and contemporary. In a world in which everyone is "Christian," evangelical theology provides a balanced position between fundamentalism and liberalism. While theological debates within the family will occur, to be evangelical is a breath of fresh air for many. However, we do not live in such a world. We do find ourselves living in a secular, global society. It is secular because no religious organization dictates how we live our lives. It is global for at least two reasons. First, our technology brings us immediately in contact with those faraway places. Second, and of more importance, we can simply step outside our front doors and encounter our neighborhoods that reflect a global pluralism. This raises the question, how shall we then live? The intent of An Evangelical Theology of Religions is to suggest a direction for evangelicals to think about the secular, global society in which they live in a way that is not only conservative but also evangelical and contemporary. The final essay strives to address the evangelical aspect of our tradition that places an emphasis on the Great Commission and the law of love.
