THOUGH in a sense all roads lead to the Klondike, the gold-seeker does not become especially interested in a choice of routes until he reaches the Pacific seaboard. The wise argonaut, then, when settling upon his itinerary, will consult the latest sources of information--railroad and steamship literature and the folders and guides of land transportation concerns--and make up his mind accordingly. In a general way there are two main routes into the gold fields --the one entirely by water, via St. Michael's and the Yukon; the other by water and land, via steamer to Fort Wrangel or Juneau, and then over the passes and down the rivers to Dawson City.
