The first part is intended to explain why and how (AI) technology and raising productivity or efficiency has close relationship. First part gives some artificial intelligence technologic concepts to indicate why and how (AI) can raise labor productive efficiency to assist labor to work in factories. This book first part is suitable to any managers have interest to learn how to apply (AI) technological productive method to achieve economic benefit in factories . In this part, the main important aim, I give examples to explain how to apply (AI) technology to raise labor productive efficiencies really. Research question: How to apply (AI) technology to assist employees to improve service performance to serve clients? This book second part is concerned how to apply (AI) technology to raise service performance. Also I shall compare to explain what advantages and disadvantages when the organization either choose to apply (AI) or not choose (AI) to assist employees to serve clients, these any one sample industry encounters customer complains, due to it lacks (AI) technologic assistance to aim to let any reader to judge whether how to choose the solvable method is better. In, conclusion, this book can provide sample industries to let students to feel whether (AI) technology will raise labor productivities or efficiency or service performance.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ⦁Why does robot help organizations to shorten time to reach growth life cycle stage or maturity life cycle stage rapidly ?The robotic market is growing rapidly, but adoption of robots and truck products through the manufacturing life-cycle and uses robots to participate any organizational tasks efficiently and effectively. According to a new study from Oxford Economics, economists predict that robots could take over 20 million manufacturing jobs around the world by 2030, and within the next 11 years. These could be 14 million robots put to work in China alone. So, such as developing country, China, many China employers will accept robots to help their organizations to do different kinds of simple or complex tasks, also clerical or non-clerical workers, they can concentrate on dealing to do their urgent tasks, it means that efficiency will be possible raised in performance will be improved, productive number may be influenced to increase. Robots may help the experiencing birth life cycke stage organizations to shorten time to reach growth life cycle syahe or the experiencing the growth life cycle stage organizations to shorten time to reach mature life cycle stage in possible, because their clerical or non-clerical staffs need to learn how to dominate or control robots to work in order to achieve raising efficiency aim. When these organizations' every department has robots to participate to do simple or complex tasks. In long time., robots may help workers to shorten time to finish any tasks in any task processing or step. When working time is shorten to every task's step, then productivies and efficiencies willl be also raised. SO, such as this China developing country's future experiencing birth or growth life cycle stage organizations case, if there are many these birth or growth life cycle stage China's business organizations decided to apply robots to assist non-clerical and clerical workers to do simple or comples tasks. Then, their working steps or procesess time will be shorten . So, that efficiency or performance can be improved. Even if in developing country China's hospital organizations can apply surgical robots to assist surgeons or doctors to do any complex or simple surgeon health care will still likely become more automated . Because China has high population, so patients' medical need must be high, just as robots can transport and deliver goods in manufacturing and retail, they can also move medicine and equipment through hospitals when doctos and burses focus on other tasks. So, robots can help future any hospital organizations to improve service level to satisfy patients' needs in China's hospitals. Moreover, robots can improve developing countries, e.g. China, India patients' life. One of the most popular ways robots help doctors is by performing surgery or making operations easier. These machines make it in easier to see into a patient's body and repair problemshave been receptive to robots in the operating room and appreciate their precision countries, such as India, China their experiencing birth or growth life cycle stage organizations can continue to enhance technology like 3D embedded vision, multispectral, and hypesspectral imaging. This combined with artificial intelligence and deep learning wil empower industrial robots to improve themselves and keep pace with the human workers around them. A BCG analysis found the using advanced robots can reduce conversion costs by up to 15% and robot adoption will likely be a critical determinant of appreciable enable shorten. Robot adoption will likely be a critical determinant of appear to enable shorten production runs, smaller factories and the need for faster productivity growth. As robot production has increased, costs have gone down .

Book excerpt: Body Shop case study -Applying (AI) robotic workers to assist productive workers to raise productive efficiencies Researching question: If body shop applied (AI) robotic workers to assist workers to produce any body shop products, does it improve their productivities and efficiencies in factories? Body Shop Background The body shop international power line carrier ( the body shop) was founded by Dame Anita Roddick in the England in 1976. It sold personal beauty care products, such as baby and child specific products, bath and shower and colour cosmetics, deodorants, skin care, hair care, fragrances, sun care etc skin health products to provide human body benefits. Nowadays, the body shop was skin and body care manufacturer and retailer operating in 55 countries with over 2,100 stores. It had 42 exclusive outlets in Hong Kong. It's missions were to dedicate to pursuit of social and environment change to meaningfully contribute to local, national and international communities in which trade to passionately campaign for the protection of the environment, human and civil rights and against animal testing and to make fun, passion and care part of our daily lives (Adrian, P. 2012). There are five main marketing orientations of which a company will adopt one. This will determine the way it interacts with the customer. Such as product orientation suggests that a company focuses inwards looking at what it is capable of, rather than the needs and wants of the client; sales orientation is based upon selling existing products with a turnover sale numbers relationship marketing orientation recognizes the value of repeat business over, not only with customers but suppliers as well; societal marketing orientation is relatively new in the scheme of things but suggests on top of meeting the needs and wants of the customer and the organization there is the societies interests to be looked and marketing orientation is based around the needs and wants of a customer to meet business objectives and it assumes that a sale depends on a customer's decision to purchase a product or provide a service. Hence, if body shop can apply (AI) robotic workers and factories workers to work together in factories. Then , if will bring marketing orientations benefit more than product orientiation benefit, when (AI) improve its factory workers productivities and raise their efficiency, customers will feel it is one (AI) robotic workers and human labor product manufacturing firm in the marketing position leader in future artificial intelligent technologic manufacturing industry. (AI) robotic workers can bring body shop three components of market orientation benefits as below: When Body shop applies (AI) robotic workers to assist workers to produce products in factory , what benefits it can earn ? Why does body shop need to apply (AI) robotic workers to assist manual labors to work? The stores of body shop could be found easily worldwide because of stores were importance in this competitive buyer. Hence, in China, its appearance should be same as worldwide. Some housewives joined the body shop as sales agent and hold sales parties for other housewives. The sales channel allowed the body shop to reach out to more clients by bringing the store directly into client's homes. This would be a totally new method of marketing in China, but it offered a good opportunity for women to choose products and share feedback in a relaxed atmosphere. This fresh concept could attract female consumers.

Book Robotic and Improving Service Performance Methods

Download or read book Robotic and Improving Service Performance Methods written by Johnny Ch Lok and published by . This book was released on 2020-11-02 with total page 368 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Methods to improvement performance management processWhen someone mentions performance management or reviews at your organization, what is the typical response: Do employees and managers cringe? Do they avoid completing performance-related tasks? Do visions of tracking down incomplete appraisal forms come to mind?Forward-thinking companies are taking steps to address this negative view of performance management. They are implementing innovative solutions that ensure the process delivers real results and actually improves employee performance and the business' bottom line.1. Set goals effectivelyGoals are the basis of an effective performance management process. There are two key elements to consider when developing goals. First, are goals written clearly and objectively? Second, are they directly contributing to the achievement of business strategy?Typically, the process begins with departmental managers setting goals for their departments, based upon organization-wide goals, which support the general business strategy. Making departmental goals accessible to all managers ensures there is no overlap, reduces conflict, and allows members of different departments to see where they support each other and ensure they are not working at cross purposes. Each manager in turn shares the overall goals with his/her department and meets with employees to identify individual performance goals and plans. When setting goals, key job expectations and responsibilities should act as the main guide and reference. Goals should be set that not only address what is expected, but also how it will be achieved. For example, the "what" covers quality or quantity expected, deadlines to be met, cost to deliver, etc. The "how" refers to the behavior demonstrated to achieve outcomes, for example, focus on customer service. In addition, some organizations choose to include competencies within performance expectations, to reinforce the link to business strategy, vision and mission. An accepted framework to use to help write effective goals is SMART: S - Specific M - Measurable A - Achievable/Attainable R - Results-Oriented/Realistic/Relevant T - Time-BoundThe inclusion of the above criteria results in a goal that is understandable and easily visualized and evaluated. Making a goal specific, measurable, and time bound contributes to the ability to make progress on the goal and track that progress. Some managers choose to further define goals with a start and finish date with milestones in between. As we have mentioned, goals must be achievable and realistic. An unachievable goal is just that. An employee knows when he/she does not stand a chance of reaching it, and their effort to achieve the goal will be affected. In addition, goals must reflect conditions that are under the employee's control and the R's (results oriented, realistic and relevant) should definitely consider these conditions. Sometimes the focus on the outcome of the goals can overshadow the necessary steps to achieve them. Action plans to support each goal can include documentation of the steps necessary to achieve a goal. By keeping goals relevant, a manager reinforces the importance of linking to strategic objectives and communicating why the goal is important. Some organizations have suggested the use of SMARTA, or SMARTR with the additional A standing for aligned and the R standing for reward. The first and the foremost advantage of having robots in workplaces is their cost. Robots are much cheaper than humans and their cost is now decreasing. It's a fact that we cannot compare human abilities with robots but robotic capabilities are now growing quickly.

Book How Robot Influences Organizational Development

Download or read book How Robot Influences Organizational Development written by Johnny Ch Lok and published by . This book was released on 2020-11-05 with total page 530 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Future works change: Automation, employment and productivity⦁How (AI) influences employment Human future " micro to macro" industry trends will be affected business strategy and public policy by (AI) technology. In the future (AI) technology will influence those six themes: productivity and growth, natural resources, labor markets, the evolution of global financial markets, the economic impact of technology and innovation and urbanization. However, (AI) technology will bring economic benefits of tackling gender inequality, a new global competition, Chinese innovation and digital globalization.Nowadays, advances in robotics artificial intelligence, and machine learning are in a new age of automation, as machines match or outperform human performance in a development to any countries. For example, automation of activities can enable businesses to improve performance by reducing errors and improving quality and speed, and in some cases achieving outcomes that go beyond human capabilities. For example, some research indicated automation could raise productivity growth globally by 0.8 to 1.4 % annually; more than 2,000 work activities across 800 occupations. When less than 5% of all occupations can be automated using demonstrated technologies about 60% of all occupations have at least 30% of constituent activities that could be automated. Many occupations will change that will be automated away: Activities most susceptible to automation involve physical activities, in highly structured and predictable environments, as well as the collection and processing of data. They are most prevalent in manufacturing, accommodation and food service and retail trade and include some middle-skill jobs. For example, such as natural language processing is a key factor. Beyond technical feasibility, the cost of technology competition with labor including skills and supply and demand dynamics, performance benefits including and beyond labor cost savings, and social and regulatory acceptance will be affected by (AI) automation technology. Thus, (AI) automation will impact to influence global employment in those aspects as below: Firstly, assuming that people are displaced by automation will find other employment. The anticipated shift in the activities in the labor force is of a similar order as the long-term shift away from agriculture and decreases in manufacturing share of employment. Both of manufacturing and agriculture industries which would be accompanied by the creation of new types of work not foreseen at the time.Secondly, for business, the performance benefits of automation are relatively clear. Thus, the businessmen have opportunities for their micro economies to benefits from the productivity growth potential and macro economies to benefit to encourage continued progress and innovation, investment and market incentives. At the same time, employers must innovate policies to help workers and institutions adapt to the impact on employment. This will likely include rethinking education and training, income support and safety nets, as well as support for those dislocated, when employees need to leave themselves homes to move to other cities to learn new (AI) automation works. Thus, individuals in the workplace will need to engage move comprehensively with machines as part of their everyday activities, and acquire new skills that will be in demand in the new automation age. Consequently, the scale of shifts in the labor force over many decades that automation technologies can be a similar order to the long -term technology -enables shifts in the developed countries' workforces away from agriculture in the 21 th century. Those shifts did not result in long-term mass unemployment because they were accompanied by the creation of new types of work not foreseen at the time. However, human will still be needed in the workforce when the total productivity gains are caused by (AI) technology.

Book Why Robotics Particiaption Can Influence

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chapter 6Artificial intelligence and customer service relationshipEssentials of robotic organizational behavioral learningThe importance of management skills is essential, if any organizations hope to raise efficiency or improve performance. Organizations need to learn how to balance hard and soft skill, how to manage social and human skills whch reflect the ability to get along with other people are increasingly important attributes at all levels of management. Managers ought need to spend most time operating between the " hard skills", such as conducting disciplinary matters or how to allocate of budgets, and " soft skills", such as counselling, or giving support and advice to a member of staff. Managers also needed to be trained to raise technical competence, related to specific tasks, how to supervise and train subordinate staffs, and with day-to-day subordinate staff, and with day-to-day operations concerned in the actual production of goods and services; social and human skills relates to interpesonal relationship in working with and through other people, and how to judge to achieve effective teamwork and direction, and leadership of staff to achieve co-ordinated effort to particular situation and flexibilty in adopting the most appropriate style of management, raising conceptual ability in order to view he complexities of the operations of the organization as a whole, including environmental influences. Mc Donald soft skill organizational behaviorIt also involves decision-making skills, relates to the overall making of the organization and to its stragegic planning in long time, such as McDonald restaurant has good strategic management to manage its global branches of franchise restaurants in organizational behavioral view successfully. So, it can attract many investors buy its franchises to learn how to do McDonald fast food restsurants . It's investors number is increasing, due to it has good significant organizational behavior as well as its managers know how to apply " soft skills" and " hard skills" to manage them effectively. So, organizational behavior and organizational performance seems have close relationship. If the organization can build the most effective and efficient organizational behavior, managers know how to manage employee individual behavior, then the performance ought will be improved, even customers won't complaint or feel unsatisfactory easily, they will feel satisfactory to their staffs service performance, such as McDonald fast food restaurant case, global McDonald fast food franchise restaurants eating customers complain bumber is low in general, because instead of their front line service staffs performance and attitude can let them to feel satisfactory,

Book Robotics Particiaption Brings What Influence to Organizational Performance

Download or read book Robotics Particiaption Brings What Influence to Organizational Performance written by Johnny Ch LOK and published by . This book was released on 2020-07-10 with total page 471 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hence, in the future, robotics can be attempted to participate any sale enquire service to achieve improving sale performance in any shops. It is one important new shop sale communication tool, robotics can replace any salespeople in shop in possible. If they can be participated on salespeople communication task in shop, their communication assistance may help any salespeople to solve any clients' enquiries immediately when the shop has many clients need to enquire any one saleperson, but the shop has no enough salespeopke to answer their enquiries in the same time. So, sale enquiring service robotics will be good assistances to help any salespeople answer their clients' any enquiries in the shop. It can improve sale service performance to any one salesperson in the shop. For example, one restaurant has many eating clients need to find waiters to enquire whether which kinds of food are the best food taste or / and compare which one is the most reasonable price between the different kinds of dinner foods, but the restaurant has no enough waiters to serve them in the same time. If the restaurant can have robotics to serve their eating clients, when they need to enquire which kinds of food are the best taste or the most reasonable dinner price at the night. They can get the robotics' assistance to answer their enquires immediately. Then, the restaurant can sell any kinds of food rapidly when the eating clients can make the final dinner choice after they are given feedback from the serving robotic's recommendation at the night. Anyway, even, robotics can help waiters to deliver food to any eating client's table immediately , when the restaurant has many dishes of foods have already prepared to any one clients in the same time from kitchen, but its any one waiter can not go to kitchen to pick up any dishes of foods immediately. So, robotics' dlivery dishes of food task is very important to help any one busy waiter to deliver food to any any eating client individual table immediately in the same time. So, it seems thatn robotics' participation to the restaurant, its food enquiring and food delivery service tasks will influence the restaurant's overall service performance to let any one eating client's feeling to be influenced to either satisfactory or dissatisfactory. In conclusion, ,it also seems that robotics can participate to any kinds of services in orde to improve any kinds businesses' overall serice performance . They may include : cinema ticker sale service, MTR transport ticket sale service, restaurant waiter food enquiry and food delivery service, shop salesperson individual product enquiry service, hospital food delivery service, shopping center security service or customer enquiry service etc. If any one of these kinds of service can be participated by robotics. Then, I believe that the kind of business's service performance may be important , when manual and robotic both service can be cooperated together to any kinds of service businesses .

Book How Management Programs Can Improve Organization Performance

Download or read book How Management Programs Can Improve Organization Performance written by Richard E. Crandall and published by IAP. This book was released on 2015-02-01 with total page 604 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All organizations operate in an environment that is rapidly changing. To be successful, the organization must also change. The question is what to change and how. This book will describe in some detail a number of management programs, many of which are known by their three-letter acronyms, such as Just-in-Time (JIT) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). A management program is designed to improve an organization’s effectiveness and efficiency. However, there are so many management programs it is often difficult for managers to decide which one would be most appropriate for their operation. This book will describe an array of management programs and group them to indicate their primary purpose. The book will also outline a process that will enable managers to select the most appropriate management program to meet their immediate and long-term needs. Implementing a management program is no small task. It can be expensive, time-consuming, and disruptive of normal operations; therefore, the choice of the management program requires careful selection and implementation. Care must be taken to increase the likelihood of successfully implementing new ventures in all types of organizations – business, nonprofit and governmental agencies. Many ventures fail, or achieve limited success, not because the idea isn’t good but because the organization has not adequately prepared its internal capabilities to meet the environmental conditions in which it operates. An important feature of this book is that it can be updated periodically to add new programs and phase out programs no longer relevant. The book will provide readers with a comprehensive description of the most popular management improvement programs and their primary applications to their organizations. We will discuss the philosophy and principles of these programs and include a discussion on how to use each program to achieve optimum success. A central theme of this book is to not just adopt an improvement program for the sake of adopting it, but to match the improvement program with the specific needs in an organization. In the chapters that follow, we will illustrate how this matching process can be conducted. Above all, we plan the book to be a concise and useful resource to both practitioners and academics. Here is what you can expect in the chapters.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A comprehensive introduction to the mathematical foundations of movement and actuation that apply equally to animals and machines. This textbook offers a computational framework for the sensorimotor stage of development as applied to robotics. Much work in developmental robotics is based on ad hoc examples, without a full computational basis. This book's comprehensive and complete treatment fills the gap, drawing on the principal mechanisms of development in the first year of life to introduce what is essentially an operating system for developing robots. The goal is to apply principles of development to robot systems that not only achieve new levels of performance but also provide evidence for scientific theories of human development.

Book Towards Digital Enlightenment

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This new collection of essays follows in the footsteps of the successful volume Thinking Ahead - Essays on Big Data, Digital Revolution, and Participatory Market Society, published at a time when our societies were on a path to technological totalitarianism, as exemplified by mass surveillance reported by Edward Snowden and others. Meanwhile the threats have diversified and tech companies have gathered enough data to create detailed profiles about almost everyone living in the modern world - profiles that can predict our behavior better than our friends, families, or even partners. This is not only used to manipulate peoples’ opinions and voting behaviors, but more generally to influence consumer behavior at all levels. It is becoming increasingly clear that we are rapidly heading towards a cybernetic society, in which algorithms and social bots aim to control both the societal dynamics and individual behaviors. span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: However there are also silver linings: most of the threats that have accumulated over the past years have been identified and regulations are on the way to being introduced. Furthermore, entirely novel approaches based on blockchain technology and other developments derived from complexity science offer the possibility of entirely redefining collective trust and building platforms to support our core societal values. span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: This book conveys an encouraging vision of the future and provides a sketch of how it may look: The road to digital enlightenment is still open, but it needs to be taken now./pbrp

Book How Robots Help Developing Countries to Develop

Download or read book How Robots Help Developing Countries to Develop written by Johnny Ch LOK and published by . This book was released on 2021-07-11 with total page 758 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does organization office , shop , warehouse space resource management strategy? How robots help workplace to improve facility management efficiency? Organization and using space must be land resource, if the organization can manage how to use its space in efficiency, then it can improve service performance or productive efficiency. Space management can be defined as a practice where an organization manages its physical space inventory which includes tracking , control, supervision and utilization, planning of the space available. So, space management is the management of an organization's physical space inventory. This involves the tracking of how much space an organization has managing occupancy information and creating spatial plans. So, one efficient space resource using organization, it needs to undertake annual property assessment reviews, leverage individual projects to drive portfolio evaluation apply a planning methodology on all project rises, utilize planning to define direction and scope focus on mathematics before graphics, define and collect only the required data on warehouse, shops, office, building space using aspect. For example, a space management office can give the organization an accurate picture of how many employees , it needs to have space for an average day, and show it the trends of demand for this space across weeks and months. This can help the organization to determine how many permanent desks could be converted to hot desks in office, warehouse or shop , saving space. For example, space managementin retail aspect, it is the process of managing the floor space adequately to facilitate the customers and to increase the sale. Shop space management is very crucial in retail as the sales volume and gross profitability depends on the amount of space used to generate those sales. Space management is a multi-step process that requires data gathering, analysis , forecast and strategizing, it involves creating a space management system that occupants throughout your organization, so whether the organization realizes it or not, every organization needs to know how to manage its space one way or another , if it hopes to improve its service or productive performance. Make use of these strategic space management and planning techniques, efficient and an unplanned, not managed office is not likely to magically transform into a well organized of productivity. So, space management is the management of an organization's physical space inventrty , employee working environment, shop product putting shelves location, equipment, desk putting location. All of this tangible space physical factor may influence overall organizational service and/or productive performance and /or sale performance. So, space may be an organization's land using resource because any organization's land using space must be limited size, they must have land space using shortage challenge if their products stock number increases, but warehouse space can not increase or shop products shelves number can not increase, but product sale number increases.

Book The Work of the Future

Download or read book The Work of the Future written by David H. Autor and published by MIT Press. This book was released on 2022-06-21 with total page 189 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why the United States lags behind other industrialized countries in sharing the benefits of innovation with workers and how we can remedy the problem. The United States has too many low-quality, low-wage jobs. Every country has its share, but those in the United States are especially poorly paid and often without benefits. Meanwhile, overall productivity increases steadily and new technology has transformed large parts of the economy, enhancing the skills and paychecks of higher paid knowledge workers. What’s wrong with this picture? Why have so many workers benefited so little from decades of growth? The Work of the Future shows that technology is neither the problem nor the solution. We can build better jobs if we create institutions that leverage technological innovation and also support workers though long cycles of technological transformation. Building on findings from the multiyear MIT Task Force on the Work of the Future, the book argues that we must foster institutional innovations that complement technological change. Skills programs that emphasize work-based and hybrid learning (in person and online), for example, empower workers to become and remain productive in a continuously evolving workplace. Industries fueled by new technology that augments workers can supply good jobs, and federal investment in R&D can help make these industries worker-friendly. We must act to ensure that the labor market of the future offers benefits, opportunity, and a measure of economic security to all.

Book Human Human vs Human Robot Collaboration

Download or read book Human Human vs Human Robot Collaboration written by Lin Liu and published by GRIN Verlag. This book was released on 2019-03-07 with total page 51 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bachelor Thesis from the year 2019 in the subject Engineering - Industrial Engineering and Management, grade: 1,0, Vienna University of Technology, language: English, abstract: The research question of this thesis is: What relevant factors exist that enables humans and robots to collaborate most successfully to ensure optimal process-based workflows? Human-robot collaboration is a fairly new field of research, and for this reason, there has been barely shed light upon this topic up to today. Thus, the purpose of this work is to investigate and analyze which factors have an impact on the collaborative work of humans. Subsequently, based on this analysis of the relevant parameters, implications can be made for human-robot collaborations to ensure optimal work settings to facilitate effective teaming. The development of modern industrial robots is advancing year by year. Currently robots are more precise, faster and more powerful than ever before. However, despite these advancements, it is still unlikely that robots will reach the dexterity and intelligence of humans anytime soon. Therefore, at least for the foreseeable future, humans remain irreplaceable in many assembly operations. Still, this does not imply that humans and robots cannot benefit each other. On the contrary, combining the strengths of each individual creates new opportunities for collaboration and collaborative work. Robots exhibit high precision and repeatability, can handle heavy loads and operate without performance deterioration, even in difficult or dangerous environments. However, robot control systems quickly reach their limits in recognizing and handling unpredictable situations and uncertainties in their environment, which are normally no problem for humans. This is mainly due to the ability of humans to tackle unexpected obstacles, their awareness of a much larger part of the environment than formally declared and lastly humans show more dexterity in complex or sensitive tasks. Despite that humans are more prone to error, stress or fatigue, and their employment underlies strict health and safety regulations. Robots that interact with human beings are called collaborative robots or cobots for short. The goal of this very human-robot collaboration is not to replace the human but rather to create opportunities for humans and robots to work together towards a common aim by mutually increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of their team performance. This, for example, can be achieved by employing robots in sectors where manual labor is predominant.
