Told from a child's perspective, the story is simple and easy to understand. Warm, heartfelt wisdom that is useful at any age, which affects all of our lives. Peter Shane grew up on the rough streets of NY and left home at sixteen. This book draws from his boyhood experiences that he learned at a very young age about life's important lessons. He shares this with his readers, the simple wisdom- anger is unfocused energy and what to do with that energy and re-direct in a positive way.

Book Dialog Theory for Critical Argumentation

Download or read book Dialog Theory for Critical Argumentation written by Douglas N. Walton and published by John Benjamins Publishing. This book was released on 2007 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Because of the need to devise systems for electronic communication on the internet, multi-agent computing is moving to a model of communication as a structured conversation between rational agents. For example, in multi-agent systems, an electronic agent searches around the internet, and collects certain kinds of information by asking questions to other agents. Such agents also reason with each other when they engage in negotiation and persuasion. It is shown in this book that critical argumentation is best represented in this framework by the model of reasoned argument called a dialog, in which two or more parties engage in a polite and orderly exchange with each other according to rules governed by conversation policies. In such dialog argumentation, the two parties reason together by taking turns asking questions, offering replies, and offering reasons to support a claim. They try to settle their disagreements by an orderly conversational exchange that is partly adversarial and partly collaborative.

Download or read book Addicted to Steel written by Glyn Judd and published by ShieldCrest. This book was released on 2015-02 with total page 233 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Addicted to Steel explores the global phenomenon of applying graffiti on trains. It chronicles the tales of a London based graffiti writer who, over a period of twelve years, became a household name and one of the most wanted vandals by the British Transport Police. With his unique insight into this greatly misunderstood subculture, the author has given us the first of its kind detailed account of criminal damage on such an unprecedented scale. The book covers many missions that span across London, the Home Counties and as far afield as Europe and New York. The adrenalin fuelled short stories transport you in to the grime covered underbelly of London s underground transport network along with many other cities. It is a thrill a minute roller-coaster ride of planning, painting and quick getaways.

Download or read book Out of the Darkness written by Kate Kerrow and published by The History Press. This book was released on 2021-08-27 with total page 314 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1981, a group of women marched from Cardiff to the Greenham Common RAF base in Newbury to protest the siting of US nuclear missiles on British soil. They formed what became the Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp and stayed there for almost twenty years, in what would become the largest, most effective woman-led protest since the Suffrage campaign. Out of the Darkness reunites the women of Greenham to share their recollections of the highs and lows of camp life, explore how they organised, and uncover the non-violent ways they challenged military, police and cultural forces, all in the name of peace. Whether freeing MoD geese or dancing on silos, whether composing songs to put their cases across in court or kissing in the face of advancing police, this is the story of the power of creativity, wit and courage, and the sisterhood the Greenham women created. This book celebrates the Greenham pioneers of peaceful protest and hopes to inspire a new generation of activists.
