Book Hkine Bel Lebnene

Download or read book Hkine Bel Lebnene written by Lena Chibani and published by Lena Chibani. This book was released on 2020-12-01 with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A self-Learning Book with Audio, Beginner’s Level. This book “Hkine Bel Lebnene” is a self-learning textbook made for non-Arabic speakers, specifically for beginner level adults, in order to not only learn to speak the language, but also to understand the grammar rules that can be applied to sentence constructions in different contexts. This book teaches the Lebanese accent. However, it’s very close to the spoken Arabic of Syria, Jordan, and Palestine as they all speak Levantine Arabic dialects. To help the reader better understand the grammar rules, English explanation is provided afterwards, in addition to an English translation of the texts. This textbook also contains pictures to help visual learners memorize the vocabulary through association. In this textbook, Latin letters are used to make pronunciation easier since the main purpose is to target speaking only and not reading or writing the language.

Book excerpt: This new, thoroughly updated third edition of Bradt’s Lebanon remains the only English-language guide dedicated to the smallest country on the Asian continent. Comprehensively updated throughout to reflect recent economic, political and social changes, it includes revised and new listings for hotels, restaurants, and what to see and do, catering for all types of travellers and budgets. Although only half the size of Wales, Lebanon offers extraordinary diversity. Some of the world’s oldest human settlements, including the Phoenician ports of Tyre and Byblos – two of Lebanon’s five World Heritage sites – sit alongside modern Beirut. The absorbing capital is popular for its world-renowned cuisine, eclectic nightlife, mosaic of peoples and kaleidoscope of religions. In Lebanon's second city, Tripoli, busy medieval souks are watched over by a vast Crusader castle. Nearby, snow-capped mountains and the lush Qadisha Valley with its snaking river and waterfalls provide entertainment for skiers and hikers (the latter also well served by the Lebanon Mountain Trail, which runs virtually the length of the country). Three hundred days of sunshine per year makes Lebanon a ‘go anytime’ destination, with the Mediterranean coastline particularly drawing sun-seekers and watersports enthusiasts. Wildlife-lovers can enjoy Shouf Biosphere Reserve (with its famed cedar trees, the national emblem) and the Aammiq Wetlands, while Lebanon has become a major destination for religious tourism, and vinophiles can visit numerous Bekaa Valley wineries of international repute. Bradt's Lebanon offers detailed coverage of areas ignored by other guides, particularly the country’s south, as well as more extensive cultural and practical information. New for this edition are specialist features on aspects of Lebanese cultural life, additional background information, updates on work to rebuild Beirut following the 2020 explosion, extended and revised coverage of the Aammiq Wetlands, new and updated maps, and new visitor attractions including the MIM mineral museum and the Middle East’s first chocolate museum, both in Beirut. With a comprehensive language appendix covering both Arabic and French, detailed historical and religious background that helps visitors travel with awareness and sensitivity, and in-depth travel information, Bradt's Lebanon is an indispensable practical companion to visiting this excitingly varied country.

Book Lebanese Arabic Phrasebook Vol 1

Download or read book Lebanese Arabic Phrasebook Vol 1 written by Hiba Najem and published by Hiba Najem. This book was released on 2014-10-12 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A very practical way to learn Lebanese This is a Lebanese Arabic phrasebook, in a sense that it is designed to both: 1- Give you all you need to know to get by speaking Lebanese when travelling to Lebanon 2- Offer you a very practical and easy way of learning the dialect Method found to be very efficient by students The method and phrases used in this book have been developing since 2011 through my teachings of the Lebanese dialect through video lessons on youtube, as well as private lessons on skype. They have been tweaked and are constantly evolving through the feedback of the students, focusing on what they find to be useful and efficient. Every phrase is linked to a video so you could perfect the pronunciation. The most important aspect of learning a new language is to hear it being spoken by natives. Especially since Lebanese is considered as "spoken Arabic." That is why the advantage of this book is that EVERY word and sentence used, is linked to the video in which it was taught, so you can hear it, and try to master the pronunciation. Translation and Transliteration Each English phrase is translated to Lebanese using the Arabic alphabet for those who are Arabic literate, and then in its turn transliterated to the Latin alphabet for those who aren't. Exercises and Puzzles In order to help you master the material, there are exercises and puzzle at the end of the book, such as crosswords and word search.
