They settled in Chester County, Pennsylvania, ca. 1698. One descendant, George Harlan (1718-ca. 1760), was born in Kennet Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. He married Ann Hurst in Frederick County, Maryland. Both died in Frederick County, Virginia. Descendants lived in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Mississippi, Texas, Nebraska, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and elsewhere.
