He married Ann Hurst in Frederick County, Maryland. Both died in Frederick County, Virginia. Descendants lived in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Mississippi, Texas, Nebraska, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and elsewhere.
