Schulpolitik, Note: 1,0, Universität Bielefeld, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der in Deutschland im Jahre 2009 in Kraft getretene Artikel 24 der UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention verpflichtete Deutschland sowie die anderen Vertragsstaaten ein inklusives Bildungs- und Schulsystem zu entwickeln und gesetzlich festzulegen. Durch den Einsatz eines inklusiven Bildungs- und Schulsystems soll Schülern „ohne Diskriminierung und auf der Grundlage der Chancengleichheit“ (Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für die Belangen von Menschen mit Behinderungen 2017) ein Recht auf Bildung ermöglicht werden. In einem inklusiven Schulsystem werden Schüler mit Behinderungen in allgemeinbildende Schulen inkludiert und in ihren persönlichen, sozialen und fachlichen Kompetenzen gestärkt. Diese Vielfalt von Schülern bedeutet folglich eine größere Heterogenität in den Klassen und Schulen. Die Heterogenität an deutschen Schulen ist durch die im Jahre 2015 beginnende Flüchtlingskrise in Deutschland noch weiter in den Fokus der Politik, Bildungswissenschaft und Gesell- schaft geraten. Neben der Inklusion von physisch und psychisch beeinträchtigten Schülern wird von den Schulen verlangt, dass Migrations- und Flüchtlingskinder in die allgemeinbildende Schulen integriert bzw. inkludiert werden. Der Umgang mit Heterogenität in den internationalen Bildungs- und Schulsystemen, im Hinblick auf Bildungsgerechtigkeit und Chancengleichheit eines jeden Schülers, unabhängig seines Geschlechts oder soziokulturellen Hintergrunds, wird regelmäßig von der OECD, im Rahmen der PISA-Studie, erhoben. Die PISA-Erhebung des Jahres 2015 zeigte deutlich, dass die Bildungserfolge deutscher Schüler eng mit ihren sozio-ökonomischen Hintergründen korrelieren. Des Weiteren erzielten Schüler mit einem Migrationshintergrund ebenfalls deutlich schlechtere Ergebnisse als Schüler ohne Migrationshintergrund. Somit konnte weder eine soziale Chancengleichheit, noch eine Chancengleichheit zwischen Schülern mit und ohne Migrationshintergrund ermöglicht werden. Im Gegensatz zu Deutschland zeigt das norwegische Bildungs- und Schulsystem eine weitaus geringere Korrelation zwischen dem sozialen Status der Erziehungsberechtigten.

The investigation of cultural memories has necessitated an interdisciplinary perspective, though geographical questions about the spaces, places, and landscapes of memory have acquired a special significance. The essays in this volume, written by leading anthropologists, geographers, historians, and psychologists, open a range of new interpretations of the formation and development of cultural memories from ancient times to the present day. The volume is divided into five interconnected sections. The first section outlines the theoretical considerations that have shaped recent debates about cultural memory. The second section provides detailed case studies of three key themes: the founding myths of the nation-state, the contestation of national collective memories during periods of civil war, and the oral traditions that move beyond national narrative. Book excerpt: The Third International Mathematics and Science Study is the largest and most ambitious study ever undertaken by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement. Forty-five countries collected data in more than 30 languages. Five grade levels were tested in the two subject areas. This report describes the science achievement of seventh and eighth graders, emphasizing the results from the eighth-grade assessment. Results are presented for the 41 countries that completed all the steps necessary to appear in this report. Singapore was the top performing country at both grade levels, with Colombia, Kuwait, and South Africa performing at the lowest levels. Perhaps the most striking finding was the large difference in average achievement between the top-performing and bottom-performing countries. Results provided a chain of overlapping countries, with most countries having an average achievement similar to that of a cluster of others, but with large differences between the top and bottom of the chain. In most countries and internationally, boys outperformed girls at both grade levels. The majority of eighth graders in nearly every country indicated that they liked science, but not all students had positive feelings about the subject. Home factors were strongly related to achievement in every participating country, but relationships between science achievement and instructional practices were less clear within and across countries.
