Records show them living in old 96th District, Greenville County, SC and in Wilkes County, GA. Their son, Leonard Pearson (d.1827) married Virginia Luraney Yarborough (widow of Boyette). Luraney, as a widow married David Wood(s) in 1829 in Marengo County, Alabama. They are listed in the 1850 Census, as living in Panola County, Miss. Later, family members are located in Ellis County, Texas. Some of the original pages are missing in this copy of the original. Descendants are living in Texas, Mississippi and elsewhere.

Book excerpt: Colonel Ann Hawkes Hay (1745-1785) was born at Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, the only child of Micahel and Esther Wilkins Hay. He accompanied his uncle to New York to obtain an education and while there he married Martha Smith (1745-1821) in 1763, daughter of Judge William Smith. After their marriage, the couple went to Jamaica, but after the death of their first three children there, they returned to New York and settled at Haverstraw on the banks of the Hudson. They had twelve children, 1764-1785. He served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. He died two years after the war in New York City. His widow died in South Carolina. Descendants listed, chiefly descendants of the children who migrated to South Carolina, lived in South Carolina, Georgia, and elsewhere.
