Von Steuben jokingly passes the accusation over to Knox, suggesting that the young Marquis Harry Knox has used him as a cat's paw to further his aristocratic ends. Noted as written in Shulkill (perhaps Schuylkill, in Pennsylvania). Docketed by Knox on verso.
