Book excerpt: Bound printed ledger with handwritten entries, mostly documenting various financial transactions. Autograph of "H.F. Frye" is at the top of the first page. A clipping with instructions for setting precious stones and cleaning marble and varnished paint is mounted on the inside front cover. Entries in the hand of Frye cover the period from 1865 to 1880. At the end of the Frye entries are several pages of similar financial entries written in a different hand with much later dates, 1888-1895. On the last page is an autograph and address that matches the handwriting of the later entries, "A.H. Roller, Eades Ridge, Sulivan Co. Tenn." There are several entries for A.H. Roller in the earlier entries made by Frye suggesting that they knew each other and the ledger was passed on by Frye to Roller for his own use at some point.
