This book was released on 2018-06-12 with total page 238 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The legend of the Ice Dragon and its master began over 6,000 years ago. The lead up story began many years before the Ice Dragon was created due to the fact the right people had to be born, grow and evolve so they could be challenged in the right way to have the leadership to know that such evil has to be contained. This required them to have the foresight, intuition and destiny to do all that is required. Pucut was perhaps the worst of all historical warlords only to be equalled by horrific modern day events. Back six millennia there were no allied forces to fight what was a terrible army of unprecedented size, disregard for humanity and ferocity. Pucut and his entire army had to be stopped in one action that would take great courage and the ultimate sacrifice of many. The Ice Dragon got its name from a massive diamond found in a quarry to produce the rock needed to build the great citadel. The diamond was naturally formed in the shape of an Asian dragon and was named the Ice Dragon diamond. The fact this diamond was so perfectly formed, indeed sculpted the creators of the citadel fully understood they were on a destiny predetermined far beyond their imagination. While the citadel was to become the place of the destruction of Pucut and his army, on its own and with the few men known as monks had at their disposal, they were certainly not going to do the job on their own. They needed a power of unheard of force. That came by virtue of a stranger in search of herbs to make up healing potions and ointments. While staying with the monks in the early stages of building their primitive refuge from Pucut, this stranger accidentally made a compound that caught alight and devastated the stone hut used as his workshop. This was to become known as dragon powder and after some development it had been perfected to a high level of effectiveness. This dragon powder became the key to ending Pucut but also creating the Ice Dragon field of energy and thus needing a human Master to control it. After the first 4,000 year of an evolving Master's dynasty it was broken. In early 2012 a new Master had been created. The Story of The Ice Dragon Rising takes us through the first stages of the original Ice Dragon creation. This finishes with a brief introduction to the principle players of the modern Ice Dragon Master and their joint adventures. As Pucut and his army with the inhabitants of the great citadel were all destroyed, the soul energy field of all those that died that day rose high in the sky taking the shape of the Ice Dragon diamond. The first chosen Master has been the only person to see the Ice Dragon energy field in this form. Every other master since then is inducted into the force field on the appearance of the Ice Dragon diamond, which is a proxy. This is necessary due to the Ice Dragon force field now being so large thus impossible for any one person to see it all. This proxy process occurs in the form of coloured ribbons of light emerging from the diamond and pass through the new Master's body. Eventually they withdraw returning to the diamond, which then disappears in a bright ball of light. When this happens the force field's entire history and the necessary intelligence upgrades the Master's DNA coding, enabling him to interact with the Ice Dragon energy. All this is because there has to be a balance within the light and the dark forces. Without any constrains Pucut had pushed the balance so far into the dark field there was little chance of recovering the peace for a very long time. The higher power, which oversees this planet, had to devise the ice Dragon to restore the balance, bringing about a new period of confidence and calm in order that the population could recover and develope a new order. Now another dark energy has appeared that is intent on worldwide domination and a return to Pucut's barbarism. Perhaps this is why a new Ice Dragon Master has appeared at this time to control again and stop further potential damage.

Book excerpt: The first story, "Ice Dragon Rising" explains how three young men sacrificed their own lives to create the Ice Dragon power to save their world from a terrible war lord. The Ice Dragon power was created from the soul energy of more than one hundred thousand soldiers of a terrible army that had destroyed hundreds of thousands of peaceful people, villages and towns across central Europe and Asia. This energy field took the shape of the famous Great Ice Dragon Diamond." The Ice Dragon was then and is still pure energy; therefore it has to have a human master for it to be able to do what it had been designed for. The first master had been chosen long before the terrorist army perished. Unsuspecting, the chosen master was confronted with his destiny. The Master's link to the Ice Dragon energy field was passed from father to son for 4,000 years before being broken. Henry Barton-Jones-Reluctant Hero; is the story of the new Ice Dragon Master and continuing legend of the second Ice Dragon dynasty. Heath issues forced Henry into early retirement. He considered himself condemned to a life of drinking coffee and reading newspapers in street side cafés watching his life slowly fading away. A winter trip to get some exercise proved to be the turning point and where he eventually discovered the truth of what was waiting for him. Henry Barton-Jones met his destiny on an Alpine ski slope at the beginning of 2012. He quickly realised it was not burnout that stopped his career but something quite different and unbelievable. The people he met and worked with during his career prove more than helpful in protecting the world from a new and serious terrorist threat.

The Force was created over 6,000 years ago for the purpose of destroying a war lord with his entire 100,000 strong hoard army. Full details are within the first volume "Ice Dragon Rising," available at: Amazon.com The previous story within volume 5 entitled CARBELLA, introduces a young woman of twenty-five years, by the name of Phillabella Cianci. Her nationality is Swiss, she is the daughter of the head of the Swiss secret service, she lives in Geneva, and is the new thorn snagged in Henry's life. Although Phillabella was beautiful and had a high mental intelligence, she had been forced by circumstances to face the emotional challenge of a cleft palate and split upper lip. She felt the remaining speech impediment, made her sound like a simpleton. The day she learnt that an English ex-Templar Knight had married into her father's family seven centuries earlier in the heart of Switzerland, also that his friend Henry Barton-Jones, was the new Master of the Ice Dragon Force. Far from ridiculing the idea, miraculously, Henry Barton-Jones had provided exactly what she had been looking for to help develop her new Templar militia. What is more, The Ice Dragon Force was ready-made for her. Avoiding the need to repeat myself, the full explanation of this strange situation, is within the publication CARBELLA, volume 5 of the Ice Dragon series. In short, Phillabella eventually emerged completely healed, and more to the point, faced with the reality of her wildest dreams. With the sensitivity of a Rhino's skin, and to Henry's consternation, Phillabella, used her newfound capability to dematerialise with free abandon. In this story Volume 6, after the terrorist Ricardo had been neutralised, Henry Barton-Jones takes his family to his log cabin on the shore of Lake Winnipeg close to the community of Pine Dock. The local RCMP constable tells him an unusual story of an alien spaceship that appears for a second or two and then disappears. As Henry uncovers more details of the alien craft sighting, he begins to suspect it is Phillabella in Charlotte's car, but she is apparently having some sort of problems to remain stable, and not helped due to a local hunter spotting the alien craft and taking a shot at her. The bullet had hit the car ricocheted off into her shoulder before she had dematerialised. She manages to find Henry at the log cabin. He questions her about why she is at Pine Dock. She refuses to tell him, it is her business and her new life.Henry's real reason for going to the log cabin is to uncover the incomprehensible reason that a local beauty by the name of Bernadette, offered as she turned Tom Stratford's marriage proposal down. In the beginning, Henry had introduced them and then over the course of a couple of years, he watched a passionate love affair develop into seriously talking about getting married.Henry realises Phillabella, is not the only cause of fear in the community. It appears that there has been a long-standing Sword of Damocles, hanging over the community for at least thirty years with roots going back to Canada's involvement in WWII allied forces preparations for the D-D landing on France's Normandy beaches. Henry puts the garbled pieces of Phillabella's story together, it is apparent to him that it is serious. He also suspects that Phillabella is far from telling him the truth of all she knows, in addition she is planning her own agenda, which leaves Henry with an uneasy feeling, he is being dragged into the same mess. Here is the begging of the story of The Winnipeg Affair. Much like all real-life criminal attempts to possess an enormous fortune, this power carries a heavy karma and it certainly marks Phillabella's own hand in setting out her future destiny.

Book excerpt: From the three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author of the New York Times bestseller Angler, who unearthed the deepest secrets of Edward Snowden's NSA archive, the first master narrative of the surveillance state that emerged after 9/11 and why it matters, based on scores of hours of conversation with Snowden and groundbreaking reportage in Washington, London, Moscow and Silicon Valley Edward Snowden chose three journalists to tell the stories in his Top Secret trove of NSA documents: Barton Gellman of The Washington Post, Glenn Greenwald of The Guardian and filmmaker Laura Poitras, all of whom would share the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. Poitras went on to direct the Oscar-winning Citizen Four. Greenwald wrote an instant memoir and cast himself as a pugilist on Snowden's behalf. Barton Gellman took his own path. Snowden and his documents were the beginning, not the end, of a story he had prepared his whole life to tell. More than 20 years as a top investigative journalist armed him with deep sources in national security and high technology. New sources reached out from government and industry, making contact on the same kinds of secret, anonymous channels that Snowden used. Gellman's old reporting notes unlocked new puzzles in the NSA archive. Long days and evenings with Snowden in Moscow revealed a complex character who fit none of the stock images imposed on him by others. Gellman now brings his unique access and storytelling gifts to a true-life spy tale that touches us all. Snowden captured the public imagination but left millions of people unsure what to think. Who is the man, really? How did he beat the world's most advanced surveillance agency at its own game? Is government and corporate spying as bad as he says? Dark Mirror is the master narrative we have waited for, told with authority and an inside view of extraordinary events. Within it is a personal account of the obstacles facing the author, beginning with Gellman's discovery of his own name in the NSA document trove. Google notifies him that a foreign government is trying to compromise his account. A trusted technical adviser finds anomalies on his laptop. Sophisticated impostors approach Gellman with counterfeit documents, attempting to divert or discredit his work. Throughout Dark Mirror, the author describes an escalating battle against unknown digital adversaries, forcing him to mimic their tradecraft in self-defense. Written in the vivid scenes and insights that marked Gellman's bestselling Angler, Dark Mirror is an inside account of the surveillance-industrial revolution and its discontents, fighting back against state and corporate intrusions into our most private spheres. Along the way it tells the story of a government leak unrivaled in drama since All the President's Men.

Book excerpt: Dedicated to the Sailors and Marines who lost their lives on the final voyage of USS Indianapolis and to those who survived the torment at sea following its sinking. plus the crews that risked their lives in rescue ships. The USS Indianapolis (CA-35) was a decorated World War II warship that is primarily remembered for her worst 15 minutes. . This ship earned ten (10) battle stars for her service in World War II and was credited for shooting down nine (9) enemy planes. However, this fame was overshadowed by the first 15 minutes July 30, 1945, when she was struck by two (2) torpedoes from Japanese submarine I-58 and sent to the bottom of the Philippine Sea. The sinking of Indianapolis and the loss of 880 crew out of 1,196 --most deaths occurring in the 4-5 day wait for a rescue delayed --is a tragedy in U.S. naval history. This historical reference showcases primary source documents to tell the story of Indianapolis, the history of this tragedy from the U.S. Navy perspective. It recounts the sinking, rescue efforts, follow-up investigations, aftermath and continuing communications efforts. Included are deck logs to better understand the ship location when she sunk and testimony of survivors and participants. For additional historical publications produced by the U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command, please check out these resources here: https://bookstore.gpo.gov/agency/naval-history-heritage-command Year 2016 marked the 71st anniversary of the sinking and another spike in public attention on the loss -- including a big screen adaptation of the story, talk of future films, documentaries, and planned expeditions to locate the wreckage of the warship.
