Book For Who Hath Resisted His Will

Download or read book For Who Hath Resisted His Will written by Kenneth L. Raven and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2013-10 with total page 115 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: His Will, His Word, His Grace We come as sinners, dead in our trespasses, with no excuses and nothing to say until drawn by the Father. As sinners we were devoted to this world and our free will; however, it is in God's free grace that we find freedom in Jesus Christ. Flesh or spirit, our will cannot give life. The regeneration of a lost soul is traumatic-not something born of man, but of God. Many religious people speak of a man's responsibility to God as a work of man. Loving God is not work, but rather joy for His children. Every born-again Christian must come to understand that we come to Jesus by the Word of God: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). It is God's words, not man's, that save by His grace through faith. As hard as Paul tried to resist Jesus, he came as do all those chosen by God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book contains testimonies of God's grace and mercy in my life when I lacked consideration for other people and was concerned with my own personal pleasure. Thank God for my grandmother Louise Dobyne for giving me Jesus Christ's foundation. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. How much more then, since we are now justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from the wrath. (Romans 5:8-9) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9) Glory to God! Thank you our Father for never giving up on me!

Book excerpt: Everyone has a story. You may or may not like yours. For most of us, there are parts of our story that we treasure and other parts we regret. But our story is part of a larger story. It is God's story. We refer to this as a meta-story. Have you ever wondered how your story fits in His? Have you questioned God where He is and what He is doing? I believe every one of us has asked these questions many times. So much of our story just makes little sense. So much is beyond our control. So much seems without purpose. Pastor Bill shares how he and Kelli have learned to trust and obey God's will for their lives throughout 32 years of pastoral ministry. It is a story of being held in God's grace. His grace is available for you!

Book Seeing and savouring Jesus Christ

Download or read book Seeing and savouring Jesus Christ written by JOHN PIPER and published by Inter-Varsity Press. This book was released on 2020-05-21 with total page 105 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Who is Jesus Christ? You've never met Him in person, and you don't know anyone who has. But there is a way to know who he is. How? Jesus Christ - the divine Person revealed in the Bible - has a unique excellence and a spiritual beauty that speaks directly to our souls and says, "Yes, this is truth." It's like seeing the sun and knowing that it is light, or tasting honey and knowing that it is sweet. The depth and complexity of Jesus shatter our simple mental frameworks. He baffled proud scribes with his wisdom but was understood and loved by children. He calmed a raging storm with a word but would not get himself down from the cross. Look at the Jesus of the Bible. Keep your eyes open, and fill them with the portrait of Jesus in God's Word. Jesus said, "If anyone's will is to do God's will, He will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority." Ask God for the grace to do His will, and you will see the truth of His Son. John Piper has written this book in the hope that all will see Jesus for who he really is and will come to enjoy him above all else.

Book His Grace in the Midst of Tragedy

Download or read book His Grace in the Midst of Tragedy written by Edward LaPointe and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2021-04-27 with total page 141 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: At this very moment you are not only holding a book; you are holding the testimony of my life and my struggle with schizophrenia. If you should decide to read it you will take a journey through a horrific tragedy through the eyes and mind of a paranoid psychotic man, years of hospitalization; psychotropic medications with side effects that sometimes seemed worse than the schizophrenia, reconstructive surgeries and a trial that held my freedom in the balance. You\'ll read of the years of continued drug and alcohol abuse, the self defeating sabotaging of good things in my life, even when I was not aware of how I was destroying any hope of recovery. To be perfectly honest; I did not know if I wanted recovery. All I could feel was guilt and shame. Then it happened; a supernatural experience with the Lord of all the earth. That night I received my salvation. Now I had hope! My life has not been the same since that night. Yes, there was still ups and downs and four more years of hospitalization, but this time it was different; I had a whole new outlook. Today I am a totally free man and it is all because of Jesus. If you decide to read this book I hope you will not be disappointed.

Book Freely by His Grace

Download or read book Freely by His Grace written by J. B. Hixson and published by . This book was released on 2012 with total page 632 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For centuries people have enjoyed singing about the "amazing grace" of God. Discover in the book, FREELY BY HIS GRACE, why God's grace is so amazing . . . and free! Grace is what distinguishes authentic biblical Christianity from every world religion. Grace is free to the recipient but costly to the Giver. It changes lives and eternal destinies. It characterizes the Giver as "the God of all grace." Theology itself, therefore, must be absorbed with God's grace. FREELY BY HIS GRACE provides a thoroughly biblical approach to theology, demonstrating how God's grace remains consistently "free" in such relevant areas as Free Grace theology, Grace, the Gospel, Lordship Salvation, Discipleship, Faith, Repentance, Regeneration, Eternal Security, Assurance, Sin, Sanctification, Rewards, Dispensationalism, Missions, Evangelism, and Disciple making. FREELY BY HIS GRACE is written by fourteen different authors and leaders, including pastors, professors, seminary presidents, and ministry leaders, who provide a wealth of sound biblical, theological, and practical insight into the theme of God's amazing and free grace.

  • Publisher : Grace Ume
  • Release : 2016-05-20
  • ISBN : 9780692694176
  • Pages : 116 pages

Download or read book Embrace with His Grace written by Grace Ume and published by Grace Ume. This book was released on 2016-05-20 with total page 116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While both Christians and non-Christians alike are faced with the same highs and lows of life circumstances, the Christian's response to these is held to a higher standard: to God's standards. However, even with the best will in the world, Christians can only achieve this through God's divine enablement. This empowerment is only available through His grace. Therefore, we must embrace His grace to receive His supernatural assistance. Embrace with His Grace is a deeply personal testimony about God's grace, and it is not told in the complex language of the theologian but rather in the plain, loving style of a simple believer. Author Grace Ume offers a practical approach to tackling key aspects of everyday life, providing real-life examples based on her personal experiences. From first accepting God as our true Father to learning to recognize the plan he has for us, Embrace with His Grace is a thought-provoking narrative. Ume's deeply personal recollections of triumphs, challenges, and pitfalls can help others on their own sometimes turbulent Christian journey that may often resemble a rollercoaster ride. Moving through life, we are fed a steady diet of untruth that are at odds with God's word, we are ignorant of the fact that neighborly, godly love offers a freedom that narrower definitions of love cannot match. All you have to do is make a choice to embrace His grace, and the abundant life promised by Christ becomes a possibility.

Book Grace Over Darkness

Download or read book Grace Over Darkness written by Lawanna Price and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-03-08 with total page 97 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Grace over Darkness began with a vision that was shown to me years ago. I began to write this book because there is so much evil that appears to overrule God's grace. Evil has become good as well as good becoming evil. Grace over Darkness is meant to help many people, regardless of age. I feel if you can read, then you will understand. Hate has flooded the hearts of many, and it appears that there are few role models for the millennium generation. Families have now become divided with murders, gangs, and so much more. While writing this book, I am able to relate to all the things that I write. I pray and hope that you will allow Jesus to open your spiritual eyes and know that change can happen. You can be delivered and set free of whatever bondage you are in. Grace over Darkness stands for "GOD." It doesn't matter how much darkness you are currently in while you still have breath coming from your nostrils you still have time to make a change and join me to stand up for the Lord and His kingdom and stand for what is right. There is no need to be ashamed or held down to your past. I wrote this book because Grace over Darkness will always outshine the darkness!

Book Making the Grace Connection Living Under Grace Vol 1

Download or read book Making the Grace Connection Living Under Grace Vol 1 written by David F. Ashwell and published by Createspace Independent Pub. This book was released on 2012-08-01 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Grace is a word frequently heard around Churches and Christians, but for all of its usage, it is one of the least understood truths of the Bible. If I ask someone what the difference is between the Law and grace or what is the difference between the Old and New Testaments, I am frequently met with a blank look. If asked what grace is, the usual response is it is God's free gift of salvation. This is true, but the Law is also a free gift from God given to us through Moses. However, the Law does not provide us with a way to salvation; it only points to our need for salvation. The idea of grace being a free gift means that God's grace cannot be earned nor is it something that can be merited or deserved. It is distinct from the Law of God because under the Law we are expected to perform perfectly for acceptance, while those under grace are urged to perform because we have already been forgiven and accepted by Christ. Better yet, we are never held to a requirement for perfection because we are accpted in Christ just as we are. God has told us much more about grace and living the Christian life under grace than to simply tell us it is a free gift. Actually, grace is our ultimate gift for eternity, and God has said so much about grace and it's place in every Christian's life in His Word, the Bible that we should all be experts by now. Dr. Bryce Jessup, President Emeritus of William Jessup University, describes Basic Grace in this way. "David Ashwell's book, Making the Grace Connection, is a book rooted in scripture, flows through his life experiences, and grabs the heart of the reader to explore personal application. The material deals with the theoligical implications of grace and how as humans we frequently distort it in our contemporary church life. The book provides encouragement to those who feel trapped in their guilt and are given to self inflicted despair. Anyone who reads this book will be empowered in some fresh ways to grow in Christ. However, those who have struggled with a legalistic journey, or a faith walk that was disconnected from fulfillment should read this book to help in the challenge of balancing grace and truth." I couldn't have said it half as well as did Dr. Jessup. I was forced [in a most loving way] to write this book to pass on what God has been teaching me about grace these past forty years. So please hop aboard and see for yourself! I promise you won't be sorry!
