He grew up and currently lives on the east side of Webster Lake. He loves to hunt, trap, and fish. His greatest passion was fly fishing and he and his family (wife and five girls) lived pretty much off the land. He enjoys being outdoors and loves to take his grandchildren camping and fishing. In February 1977, at forty years old, Kruger came to know the Lord and, immediately, the Lord gave him the gift of verse to share the word of God in poetry. On October 5th, 2015, he was in a motorcycle accident that injured him. While in the nursing home for rehab, he wrote many more poems and, of this writing, he has written 1300 poems and is still going strong. He is currently doing much better. Thus far, Kruger has had six books published and this book, Heavenly Son Shine, will be his seventh. Three of those seven were published by RoseDog Books and Kruger calls them “great people to work with.” He has also written another book to be published by RoseDog Books entitled White Eagle. It was written in 1985 and never published until now. It is an adventure of a ten-year-old boy who became a mountain man.

Book Exploring Heavenly Places Volume 2 Revealing of the Sons of God

Download or read book Exploring Heavenly Places Volume 2 Revealing of the Sons of God written by Paul Cox and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2017-09-20 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For centuries millions of believers have suffered as the unseen forces of wickedness in the heavenly realms have waged war against the church. In this book the authors will unpack the biblical basis for the fallen sons of God and how these 'little gods' have infiltrated society and the family of God through covenant breaking sex, child sacrifice and star worship. Paul L. Cox and Rob Gross provide a biblical framework for understanding the revelation of the sons of God. This revelation is directly tied to the church becoming mature as sons (and daughters) and being able to access the divine resources set aside for us in eternity past to fulfill the Great Commission. This volume will also share insight about the spirit of Elijah and how this end time move of God will bring healing to the land by turning the hearts of the fathers back to the children and vice versa.

Book Commentary on the New Testament

Download or read book Commentary on the New Testament written by Robert H. Gundry and published by Baker Books. This book was released on 2010-07-01 with total page 2399 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Verse-by-verse explanations with a literal translation Shouldn't a Bible commentary clarify what God's Word actually says? Going beyond questions of authorship, date, sources, and historicity, respected linguist and teacher Gundry offers a one-volume exposition of the New Testament that focuses on what is most useful for preaching, teaching, and individual study--what the biblical text really means. Providing interpretive observations in a "breezy" style that's easy to read and adaptable for oral use in pulpit or classroom presentations, Gundry directs his book to an evangelical audience. His crisp translation of the New Testament inserts various phrasings of passages in brackets, allowing for smooth transition from original text to alternative and contemporary readings. SAMPLE TEXT OF TRANSLATION JOHN'S PREDICTING A MORE POWERFUL BAPTIZER THAN HE (Mark 1:1-8) 1:1-3: The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, God's Son, according as it's written in Isaiah the prophet, "Behold, I'm sending my messenger before your face [= ahead of you], who'll pave your way [= the road you'll travel], [the messenger who is] the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way of the Lord. Make his paths straight.'" Pastors, Sunday school teachers, small-group leaders, and laypeople will welcome Gundry's non-technical explanations and clarifications. And Bible students at all levels will appreciate his sparkling interpretations of the NT Scriptures. A trustworthy guide for anybody wanting to delve deeper into God's Word. SAMPLE TEXT OF COMMENTS "Gospel" means "good news." Jews would associate this good news with Isaiah 52:7. Non-Jews would think of the good news of an emperor's accession to power, birthday, visit to a city, military victory, or bringing of prosperity to the empire. But Mark's good news has to do with the salvation and victory brought by Jesus over evil in all its demonic and physical forms. "The gospel of Jesus Christ" therefore means "the gospel about Jesus Christ" and refers to a proclaimed message ("the voice of one crying out"), not a book (though because books like Mark's contain that proclaimed message, the term came to refer to those books in the capitalized form of "Gospels" to distinguish them from the message, kept uncapitalized as "gospel").

Book Eastern Learning and the Heavenly Way

Download or read book Eastern Learning and the Heavenly Way written by Carl Young and published by University of Hawaii Press. This book was released on 2014-08-31 with total page 298 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Tonghak, or Eastern Learning, was the first major new religion in modern Korean history. Founded in 1860, it combined aspects of a variety of Korean religious traditions. Because of its appeal to the poor and marginalized, it became best known for its prominent role in the largest peasant rebellion in Korean history in 1894, which set the stage for a wider regional conflict, the Sino-Japanese War of 1894–1895. Although the rebellion failed, it caused immense changes in Korean society and played a part in the war that ended in Japan's victory and its eventual rise as an imperial power. It was in this context of social change and an increasingly perilous international situation that Tonghak rebuilt itself, emerging as Ch’ŏndogyo (Teaching of the Heavenly Way) in 1906. During the years before Japan’s annexation of Korea in 1910, Ch’ŏndogyo continued to evolve by engaging with new currents in social and political thought, strengthening its institutions, and using new communication technologies to spread its religious and political message. In spite of Korea’s loss of independence, Ch’ŏndogyo would endure and play a major role in Korean nationalist movements in the Japanese colonial period, most notably the March First independence demonstrations in 1919. It was only able to thrive thanks to the processes that had taken place in the twilight years of Korean independence. This book focuses on the internal developments in the Tonghak and Ch’ŏndogyo movements between 1895 and 1910. Drawing on a variety of sources in several languages such as religious histories, doctrinal works, newspapers, government reports, and foreign diplomatic reports, it explains how Tonghak survived the turmoil following the failed 1894 rebellion to set the foundations for Ch’ŏndogyo’s important role in the Japanese colonial period. The story of Tonghak and Ch’ŏndogyo not only is an example of how new religions interact with their surrounding societies and how they consolidate and institutionalize themselves as they become more established; it also reveals the processes by which Koreans coped and engaged with the challenges of social, political, and economic change and the looming darkness that would result in the extinguishing of national independence at the hands of Japan’s expanding empire.
