Book Painting the Energy Body

Download or read book Painting the Energy Body written by Petra Neumayer and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2013-07-04 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Harnessing the power of symbols for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing • Explains how to make symbols directly on areas of pain for quick relief, on bandages to speed healing, and on acupressure points for energy and emotional work • Explores the use of symbols to reduce scar tissue, counteract electromagnetic pollution, balance the chakras, and cleanse toxins from the body • Details how to transfer the energy of a symbol to water, food, jewelry, or stones for long-term treatment and prevention Geometric symbols and signs have been drawn on the body to enhance strength and courage and stimulate the body’s powers of self-healing since prehistoric times--the most ancient evidence being the 5,000-year-old iceman “Ötzi,” found in the Alps in 1991, who had symbols tattooed over his arthritic joints. Found in indigenous societies around the globe, symbols on the body--whether drawn, painted, or tattooed--act as energy antennae, triggering healing impulses in the energy body and meridian system. Exploring several simple methods to work with symbols for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, Petra Neumayer and Roswitha Stark illustrate the key symbols used in this practice and reveal how to select the proper symbol or symbols for your condition. They explain how to use these signs directly on areas of pain and injury--from mosquito bites to eczema--for quick relief, on bandages to speed healing, and on acupressure points and meridians to treat more complex conditions. They explore the use of symbols to reduce scar tissue, counteract electromagnetic pollution, balance the chakras, and cleanse toxins from the body. The authors explain how, like homeopathic remedies, symbols transfer information through energetic vibration and morphic fields—the resonance between all living things, past and present, discovered by Cambridge biologist Rupert Sheldrake. They detail how to transfer the energy of a symbol to water, food, jewelry, or stones for long-term treatment and prevention. They also show how to heal animals and plants with symbols. Bringing together traditional Chinese medicine, quantum physics, dowsing, and homeopathy, this new yet ancient practice harnesses the power of symbols to initiate healing at the very foundation of our energetic being.

Book Inflammation and the Microcirculation

Download or read book Inflammation and the Microcirculation written by D. Neil Granger and published by Morgan & Claypool Publishers. This book was released on 2010 with total page 99 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The microcirculation is highly responsive to, and a vital participant in, the inflammatory response. All segments of the microvasculature (arterioles, capillaries, and venules) exhibit characteristic phenotypic changes during inflammation that appear to be directed toward enhancing the delivery of inflammatory cells to the injured/infected tissue, isolating the region from healthy tissue and the systemic circulation, and setting the stage for tissue repair and regeneration. The best characterized responses of the microcirculation to inflammation include impaired vasomotor function, reduced capillary perfusion, adhesion of leukocytes and platelets, activation of the coagulation cascade, and enhanced thrombosis, increased vascular permeability, and an increase in the rate of proliferation of blood and lymphatic vessels. A variety of cells that normally circulate in blood (leukocytes, platelets) or reside within the vessel wall (endothelial cells, pericytes) or in the perivascular space (mast cells, macrophages) are activated in response to inflammation. The activation products and chemical mediators released from these cells act through different well-characterized signaling pathways to induce the phenotypic changes in microvessel function that accompany inflammation. Drugs that target a specific microvascular response to inflammation, such as leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion or angiogenesis, have shown promise in both the preclinical and clinical studies of inflammatory disease. Future research efforts in this area will likely identify new avenues for therapeutic intervention in inflammation. Table of Contents: Introduction / Historical Perspectives / Anatomical Considerations / Impaired Vasomotor Responses / Capillary Perfusion / Angiogenesis / Leukocyte-Endothelial Cell Adhesion / Platelet-Vessel Wall Interactions / Coagulation and Thrombosis / Endothelial Barrier Dysfunction / Epilogue / References

Book The 12 Stages of Healing

Download or read book The 12 Stages of Healing written by Donald M. Epstein and published by Amber-Allen Publishing. This book was released on 2023-02-01 with total page 299 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 12 Stages of Healing is an extraordinary new approach to healing the mind and body. Dr. Epstein, founder and creator of Network Spinal, offers fascinating insights into the complex relationship between mind, emotions, and body, and shows us how to promote greater health in our bodies and harmony in our relationships. Have you, or someone you love, experienced . . . · A recurring sickness, healing crisis, or life-threatening illness? · A feeling of emptiness and longing for no apparent reason? · A major trauma, emotional hardship, or life-changing event? · A feeling of being stuck in a pattern of self-destructive behavior? After observing thousands of people in both private practice and public seminars, Dr. Epstein discovered 12 basic rhythms, or stages of consciousness, shared by all humanity. Each stage of healing has a distinct “rite of passage” that helps us to reunite with aspects of ourselves that are traumatized, alienated, forgotten, abused, shamed, or unforgiven. Each stage also has a characteristic pattern of breath, movement, and touch that can help us to reconnect with the natural, internal rhythms of our body, and experience a greater sense of joy and well-being. “Donald Epstein is an extraordinary healer. In my 25 years of traveling the globe, I’ve never seen anyone who is able to produce the impact he does in such a short period of time. He opens our hearts to new possibilities for individuals and humanity.” — Tony Robbins, Peak Performance Coach and best-selling author of Unlimited Power

Book Healing Invisible Wounds

Download or read book Healing Invisible Wounds written by Richard F. Mollica and published by Vanderbilt University Press. This book was released on 2009 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In these personal reflections on his thirty years of clinical work with victims of genocide, torture, and abuse in the United States, Cambodia, Bosnia, and other parts of the world, Richard Mollica describes the surprising capacity of traumatized people to heal themselves. Here is how Neil Boothby, Director of the Program on Forced Migration and Health at the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University, describes the book: "Mollica provides a wealth of ethnographic and clinical evidence that suggests the human capacity to heal is innate--that the 'survival instinct' extends beyond the physical to include the psychological as well. He enables us to see how recovery from 'traumatic life events' needs to be viewed primarily as a 'mystery' to be listened to and explored, rather than solely as a 'problem' to be identified and solved. Healing involves a quest for meaning--with all of its emotional, cultural, religious, spiritual and existential attendants--even when bio-chemical reactions are also operative." Healing Invisible Wounds reveals how trauma survivors, through the telling of their stories, teach all of us how to deal with the tragic events of everyday life. Mollica's important discovery that humiliation--an instrument of violence that also leads to anger and despair--can be transformed through his therapeutic project into solace and redemption is a remarkable new contribution to survivors and clinicians. This book reveals how in every society we have to move away from viewing trauma survivors as "broken people" and "outcasts" to seeing them as courageous people actively contributing to larger social goals. When violence occurs, there is damage not only to individuals but to entire societies, and to the world. Through the journey of self-healing that survivors make, they enable the rest of us not only as individuals but as entire communities to recover from injury in a violent world.

This study will help you view Jesus' healings in a new way and encourage you to pray for healing for yourself, your family, and those you encounter each day.
