Book excerpt: Author Richard Blount IV has a mission: he seeks to bring comfort, encouragement, and soul solutions to every living person in America. He hopes to help recover peace for Americans through an understanding of our challenges in culture, politics, religion, media, and race and to present a new set of eyes to help us navigate and progress relationships to a healthier state of being. This book’s message will develop hope and optimism in those seeking to be healed. Healing America explores the problems, causes, solutions, and benefits of being an American. Blount investigates the history, culture, perceptions, responsibilities, and challenges that come with those topics and shares alternatives to vindication, such as listening, humility, and empathy. With an intentional and purposeful approach to the country’s healing process, he aims for healthy relationships as the ultimate goal. Finally, he presents the benefits of being a part of America and the joy that comes with the opportunities we share in the United States. This study examines stressors in the United States stemming from perception and fear, offering ways to diagnose those pains and respond to them in a more spiritually mature and effective way.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: America is in serious trouble. Pastor Fox argues in this book that there is NO OTHER SOLUTION to the economic and security issues of America than what this book prescribes: deep repentance before God by American Christians for America's current sins which are rooted mainly in the Jamestown Colony founded in 1607. America's finances and national security are at great risk because the only Person who can really protect both is now disciplining America for its many sins--- as He did to His beloved Israel in the Old Testament. There is a way back to God's full blessing and protection. This book shows us how by describing the roots of America's sins and how the American Church can biblically repent for those sins. If the American Church repents, God will restore and protect America again--- as He has from the beginnings of our nation as II Chron. 7:13-14 clearly states: "When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." The author writes in his Foreward: "We all also know that the bottom fell out of the US stock market in the Fall of 2008. America has not recovered from that and it will not until God sees sufficient repentance by His people for their sins and the sins of the nation. In a word, God is behind America's current economic and security problems. He has pulled back more of His blessings and is allowing us to fail more and more. This is how He treated Israel 2500 years ago in order to bring Israel back to Him. Their economy suffered and they were more vulnerable to their enemies. Only God can make a nation prosperous and safe (Ps. 127:1). He is doing the same thing now to bring America back to Him. Once the pain in America grows deep enough, His people will cry out in humble repentance to God and He will heal our land (II Chron 7:13-14) and bring a great revival that will sweep many in to the Kingdom. I hope this message encourages you in the difficult days ahead. America's pain has great purpose! I hope this book helps pastors and churches to prepare for a season of deep humbling before God. Only God can save America and He is waiting on His Church to do its part so He will do His part." May God bless America again when America blesses God, Pastor Bob Fox Virginia Beach, Virginia July 1, 2012

Book Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome

Download or read book Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome written by Joy DeGruy and published by Amistad. This book was released on 2017-05-23 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From acclaimed author and researcher Dr. Joy DeGruy comes this fascinating book that explores the psychological and emotional impact on African Americans after enduring the horrific Middle Passage, over 300 years of slavery, followed by continued discrimination. From the beginning of American chattel slavery in the 1500’s, until the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment in 1865, Africans were hunted like animals, captured, sold, tortured, and raped. They experienced the worst kind of physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual abuse. Given such history, Dr. Joy DeGruy asked the question, “Isn’t it likely those enslaved were severely traumatized? Furthermore, did the trauma and the effects of such horrific abuse end with the abolition of slavery?” Emancipation was followed by another hundred years of institutionalized subjugation through the enactment of Black Codes and Jim Crow laws, peonage and convict leasing, and domestic terrorism and lynching. Today the violations continue, and when combined with the crimes of the past, they result in further unmeasured injury. What do repeated traumas visited upon generation after generation of a people produce? What are the impacts of the ordeals associated with chattel slavery, and with the institutions that followed, on African Americans today? Dr. DeGruy answers these questions and more as she encourages African Americans to view their attitudes, assumptions, and emotions through the lens of history. By doing so, she argues they will gain a greater understanding of the impact centuries of slavery and oppression has had on African Americans. Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome is an important read for all Americans, as the institution of slavery has had an impact on every race and culture. “A masterwork. [DeGruy’s] deep understanding, critical analysis, and determination to illuminate core truths are essential to addressing the long-lived devastation of slavery. Her book is the balm we need to heal ourselves and our relationships. It is a gift of wholeness.”—Susan Taylor, former Editorial Director of Essence magazine

Book Quantum DNA Healing

Download or read book Quantum DNA Healing written by Althea S. Hawk and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2017-03-16 with total page 283 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How consciousness and quantum energies affect your genetic expression and the development of disease and chronic health conditions • Draws on cellular medicine, genetics, quantum physics, and consciousness studies to define the real underlying mechanisms of disease and how they can be addressed • Explains how consciousness influences quantum DNA to erase the genetic imprint of illness, allowing your body to remember how to function efficiently and effectively • Shares the author’s discoveries that enabled her to successfully heal the cellular dysfunction at the root cause of her cancer, tumors, chronic inflammation, and toxicity • Explores consciousness tools to re-encode DNA and includes detailed scripts for techniques that readers can apply to their own healing journeys Drawing on new advancements in quantum physics, cellular medicine, genetics, and consciousness studies, as well as her own journey of self-healing from a number of challenging health conditions, Althea S. Hawk reveals how you can consciously influence your DNA and re-encode it to improve your health and alter your genetic destiny. Sharing the discoveries that enabled her to successfully heal from her cancer, tumors, toxicity, and inflammatory-related conditions, the author explains how genes are not solely responsible for creating disease. She shows how human physiology interacts with the quantum energies of our external and personal environments and how the resulting information triggers the development and persistence of disease and chronic conditions. We each inherit susceptibilities, but it is our unique experience of these environmental factors, as well as our beliefs, thoughts, and emotions, that alter the way our genes are expressed. Detailing how our DNA is both quantum-energetic and biological-chemical, Hawk explains how your environment and your consciousness influence your quantum DNA, which in turn interacts with your biological DNA. By working directly with energetic information that affects how your quantum and biological DNA communicate, you can alter the expression of your genes by re-encoding the gene sequences on your physical DNA, erasing the imprint of illness and enabling your body to remember how to function properly. Hawk explores consciousness tools and mind-body techniques to re-encode your DNA, such as sound and breathing work, DNA marker removal, recalibration of Akashic information, and cellular communication exercises that readers can apply to their own healing journeys.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Neutralize the negative--program the positive Tapping into the current trend of a new view of genetics exemplified in books like The Biology of Belief, Margaret Ruby, herself a healer, shows how this research is becoming increasingly mainstream. In The DNA of Healing, Margaret Ruby teaches how to neutralize the negative patterns handed down through our family lineage and reprogram the DNA with positive patterns that manifest health, wellness, and abundance. Revolutionary scientific research is proving that our emotions and thoughts can impact our health and shape the course of our lives. But if a positive attitude is all we need to live a healthier and happier life, why don’t more people change more quickly? The answers lie deep in our DNA. Along with the color of our eyes and the shape of our nose, we have inherited the emotional patterns and beliefs of our ancestors. Like long-lost family secrets, these deeply embedded patterns influence our health, wealth, and relationships in ways we’re not even aware of. Margaret Ruby, a pioneer and educator in the field of healing and the founder of PossibilitiesDNA, has developed a system for isolating and reversing inherited traumas and negative patterns. The DNA of Healing reveals her breakthrough five-step process that has helped people around the world neutralize the unconscious programming they have inherited and reset their genetic codes for total wellness and abundance. Blending the art of healing with cutting-edge research, Margaret Ruby shows how to work with your DNA on an energetic level, in effect rebooting it to its original blueprint. This extraordinary system allows you to reprogram your DNA with positive patterns--a concept that has tremendous ramifications for more than just your health. The DNA of Healing also shows how you can remove your self-limiting thought patterns about relationships and money, helping you get the abundant life you’ve always wanted.

Download or read book Hijacked written by Clarence Washington Sr. and published by LifeRich Publishing. This book was released on 2023-12-18 with total page 439 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first four volumes of Hijacked!, How Dr. King’s Dream Became a Nightmare explores the goals that must be achieved and the methods that must be used to fix what is wrong with America. However, these things have been hijacked by super natural spiritual forces and caused the once unthinkable devastating nightmare in America, which we are now experiencing. This Nightmare has been orchestrated by spiritually dark forces who must be dealt with through an effective, super natural, spiritual warfare prayer strategy. Nothing else—but this—will solve the demonic insanity that is occurring all over America today! In Volume 5, The Demonic, everything that “We the People” need to do this and bring America back from the brink of total decline and destruction is explored in detail. The demonic insanity that is so widespread in America today is clearly demonstrated by such things as critical race theory, social justice, transgenderism, the open-boarder policy, the war-on-fossil-fuel/the climate-control policy, an obsession with renewing the JCPOA Iran nuclear argument, the love affair of African-Americans with the people that clearly hate them, and the love affair of Jewish-Americans and others with the people that clearly hate them. The volumes respectively of Hijacked! are The Dream, The Hijack, The Nightmare, The Recovery, and The Demonic. All of these things are a very clear demonstration that most Americans have rejected the God-given dream goals and dream methods of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and are instead being taught how to live by demons.

Book excerpt: AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER! From celebrated anthropologist Jennifer Raff comes the untold story—and fascinating mystery—of how humans migrated to the Americas. ORIGIN is the story of who the first peoples in the Americas were, how and why they made the crossing, how they dispersed south, and how they lived based on a new and powerful kind of evidence: their complete genomes. ORIGIN provides an overview of these new histories throughout North and South America, and a glimpse into how the tools of genetics reveal details about human history and evolution. 20,000 years ago, people crossed a great land bridge from Siberia into Western Alaska and then dispersed southward into what is now called the Americas. Until we venture out to other worlds, this remains the last time our species has populated an entirely new place, and this event has been a subject of deep fascination and controversy. No written records—and scant archaeological evidence—exist to tell us what happened or how it took place. Many different models have been proposed to explain how the Americas were peopled and what happened in the thousands of years that followed. A study of both past and present, ORIGIN explores how genetics is currently being used to construct narratives that profoundly impact Indigenous peoples of the Americas. It serves as a primer for anyone interested in how genetics has become entangled with identity in the way that society addresses the question "Who is indigenous?"

Book The Social Life of DNA

    Book Details:
  • Author : Alondra Nelson
  • Publisher : Beacon Press
  • Release : 2016
  • ISBN : 0807033014
  • Pages : 218 pages

Download or read book The Social Life of DNA written by Alondra Nelson and published by Beacon Press. This book was released on 2016 with total page 218 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The unexpected story of how genetic testing is affecting race in America We know DNA is a master key that unlocks medical and forensic secrets, but its genealogical life is both revelatory and endlessly fascinating. Tracing genealogy is now the second-most popular hobby amongst Americans, as well as the second-most visited online category. This billion-dollar industry has spawned popular television shows, websites, and Internet communities, and a booming heritage tourism circuit. The tsunami of interest in genetic ancestry tracing from the African American community has been especially overwhelming. In The Social Life of DNA, Alondra Nelson takes us on an unprecedented journey into how the double helix has wound its way into the heart of the most urgent contemporary social issues around race. For over a decade, Nelson has deeply studied this phenomenon. Artfully weaving together keenly observed interactions with root-seekers alongside illuminating historical details and revealing personal narrative, she shows that genetic genealogy is a new tool for addressing old and enduring issues. In The Social Life of DNA, she explains how these cutting-edge DNA-based techniques are being used in myriad ways, including grappling with the unfinished business of slavery: to foster reconciliation, to establish ties with African ancestral homelands, to rethink and sometimes alter citizenship, and to make legal claims for slavery reparations specifically based on ancestry. Nelson incisively shows that DNA is a portal to the past that yields insight for the present and future, shining a light on social traumas and historical injustices that still resonate today. Science can be a crucial ally to activism to spur social change and transform twenty-first-century racial politics. But Nelson warns her readers to be discerning: for the social repair we seek can't be found in even the most sophisticated science. Engrossing and highly original, The Social Life of DNA is a must-read for anyone interested in race, science, history and how our reckoning with the past may help us to chart a more just course for tomorrow.

Book Testing Prayer

  • Author : Candy Gunther Brown
  • Publisher : Harvard University Press

  • ISBN : 0674069714
  • Pages : 308 pages

Download or read book Testing Prayer written by Candy Gunther Brown and published by Harvard University Press. This book was released on 2012-04-30 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When sickness strikes, people around the world pray for healing. Many of the faithful claim that prayer has cured them of blindness, deafness, and metastasized cancers, and some believe they have been resurrected from the dead. Can, and should, science test such claims? A number of scientists say no, concerned that empirical studies of prayer will be misused to advance religious agendas. And some religious practitioners agree with this restraint, worrying that scientific testing could undermine faith. In Candy Gunther Brown’s view, science cannot prove prayer’s healing power, but what scientists can and should do is study prayer’s measurable effects on health. If prayer produces benefits, even indirectly (and findings suggest that it does), then more careful attention to prayer practices could impact global health, particularly in places without access to conventional medicine. Drawing on data from Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians, Brown reverses a number of stereotypes about believers in faith-healing. Among them is the idea that poorer, less educated people are more likely to believe in the healing power of prayer and therefore less likely to see doctors. Brown finds instead that people across socioeconomic backgrounds use prayer alongside conventional medicine rather than as a substitute. Dissecting medical records from before and after prayer, surveys of prayer recipients, prospective clinical trials, and multiyear follow-up observations and interviews, she shows that the widespread perception of prayer’s healing power has demonstrable social effects, and that in some cases those effects produce improvements in health that can be scientifically verified.

Book Shrink

Download or read book Shrink written by Lawrence R. Samuel and published by U of Nebraska Press. This book was released on 2013-04-01 with total page 285 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Psychology has stepped down from the university chair into the marketplace” was how the New York Times put it in 1926. Another commentator in 1929 was more biting. Psychoanalysis, he said, had over a generation, “converted the human scene into a neurotic.” Freud first used the word around 1895, and by the 1920s psychoanalysis was a phenomenon to be reckoned with in the United States. How it gained such purchase, taking hold in virtually every aspect of American culture, is the story Lawrence R. Samuel tells in Shrink, the first comprehensive popular history of psychoanalysis in America. Arriving on the scene at around the same time as the modern idea of the self, psychoanalysis has both shaped and reflected the ascent of individualism in American society. Samuel traces its path from the theories of Freud and Jung to the innermost reaches of our current me-based, narcissistic culture. Along the way he shows how the arbiters of culture, high and low, from public intellectuals, novelists, and filmmakers to Good Housekeeping and the Cosmo girl, mediated or embraced psychoanalysis (or some version of it), until it could be legitimately viewed as an integral feature of American consciousness.

Book Healing Hands of Jesus

Download or read book Healing Hands of Jesus written by Rekha Vidyarthi and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2012-03-23 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Archangel Michael taught interactive healing to author Rekha Vidyarthi; through this technique, she has assisted the healing process in people for sixteen years. Michael said to her You need to heal yourself in order to heal others. Written with Jesuss guidance, Healing Hands of Jesus illustrates how you can choose to change the karmic things and past lives that are happening right now. Angels heal many lives at once by healing one personality and integrating one fragment at a time into the higher self, shortening the incarnation of a troubled past and present. Every experience in life is created by unconscious thoughts. Your outer situation triggers your innermost emotions and feelings. The mind requires answers in order to change ones perspective. Because most answers lie either in childhood or in a past life, it is necessary to look within. The angels trigger our memories to identify the connection, which is when healing begins. Such things as parental imprinting, family karma, ego, anger, fear, guilt, sadness, depression, or learned behavior perpetuate from one life to the next. These issues repeat themselves through many lives until we learn how to heal the issues. Healing Hands of Jesus explains that we must ask forgiveness for the negative things that are happening to us now in order to heal ourselves.

Download or read book Healing written by Ph. D. Masood Arjmand and published by Strategic Book Publishing. This book was released on 2013-08 with total page 69 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I was physically and mentally sick, and conventional knowledge was not providing me with any answers. I started manipulating my body and figured out what was wrong. I wrote down my observations and conclusions, and now I am healthy. I had no prior knowledge of any of the diseases that I write about. Most of the time, I would first figure out the symptoms of the disease, and would then find the name of it. Through desperation, and because conventional knowledge was not providing me with any logical answers, I needed to heal my own body. I observed that our perception of the cause of diseases is wrong. Sooner or later my suggestions will be put to practice and then everything will change. We will enter a new age, and hopefully a disease-free world.
