Book excerpt: Introduction اَلْحَمْدُ لِلہِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ All praises are due to Allah who created man, created him first out of soil and moulded him in the best shape and then conferred him superiority and control over each and every living creature. In other words He made him his vicegerent on the earth, taught him how to read and write and the art to express his feelings in the form of words. This is the very art which gave him superiority and triumph over the angels who, at the time of his creation objected, "Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood” (Surah Baqarah Verse no.30) to which Allah elevated said, "I know that which you do not know." (Surah Baqarah Verse no.30) After his creation Allah taught him the names of things and after bestowing this art, He questioned the angels, "Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful." (Surah Baqarah Verse no.31) They replied "Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. Verily, it is You, the All-Knower, the All-Wise." (Surah Baqarah Verse no.32) This was the first exam in which Allah gave man victory over the angles and Iblees. Then for the second time, He created him with a drop of dirty water (Semen) which had in it no virtue, but when the divine power of Allah worked over it, transformed its vices into virtues. This humble slave too places himself at the mercy and taufeeq of Allah and thanks Him for He has shaped me in the best form out of “When he was nothing to be mentioned?” (Surah Dah’r Verse no.1) guided me to the straight path and gave the taufeeq to transform the message of the holy prophet in English language. Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Idris Sahib Falahi gave this humble the book, “The pious wives of the holy prophet ” in Gujarati language. When I passed through its few pages, a strong desire was born in me to mould this book into English language and by the grace of Allah it was moulded too. May Allah accept this endeavour and make it a means of creating the true love of “The pious wives of the holy prophet ” and a means of gaining Allah’s pleasure, nearness and salvation on the day of resurrection! Whether it is through the study of the spatial politics of saint veneration in Islam, analysis of cross-border gold trade and sanctions, or examination of pilgrims women’s desire for Syrian lingerie accompanying their pleas with the saint in marital matters, the book develops the idea of visitation as a ritual of mobility across geography, history, and category. Then I thought why these people are not giving any information? Many people provoked me not to get into its affair, otherwise there could be a fight. Then I took support of libraries but that too lacked Hindi language books, so I took support of English, Urdu, B.A., M.A. books and some encyclopedias, dictionaries helped a lot. Tafseers (explanation) of Bible and Quran Sharif also helped a lot in this. This book has been written since 28.09.2004 and is now completed on 30.08.2008. During this time, big shots of Islam came to him and requested him to shoulder the responsibilities of Islam. He bluntly refused. A meeting of the executive committee (Shura–the executive committee) was convened, and, after a great insistence, Hazrat Ali alaihissalam accepted these responsibilities. And as a result of unanimous agreement, he became one of the selected of the Momins (Mominin Muntakhab). He prevented the people from going wild in their behavior. He had to fight many wars (briefly explained each war inside the book). He turned all the malicious plans of Bani Umiyyah into a great failure. And then how Hazrat Imam Hasan a.s. appointed and after him, Hazrat Imam Husain a.s. The author also included the details of the War of Karbala and incidents that happened after Karbala. This book consists of the life details of all the twelve (12) Imam’s and about their books, works, and much more.
