Download or read book Harvesting God s Word Discovering God s Original Intentional System of Sowing Reaping written by Jerry Grieser and published by . This book was released on 2017-08-31 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Harvesting God's Word demonstrates how to effectively implement the "harvesting" of the words of God. By implementing these principles, your life, like the lives of Moses, Joshua, and Caleb will be highlighted with the victories of Red Sea partings, Jordan River crossovers, and Jericho Wall demolitions. But you will also be confronted with "obstinate Israelites," defeats like Ai, and apathetic comrades who are willing to settle on the "east side" of the Jordan. Yet if you refuse to quit, like those faith warriors of old, and continue to sow and reap whether in victory or defeat, you will experience the bountiful fruit of the Promised Land in your lifetime. Jerry is a husband, father, grandfather, and pastor who is on a journey to walk hand in hand with Jesus every day. While learning to live life at the pace of a walk, his greatest desire is to do so in humility, faith, grace and victory while encouraging other believers to join him on this journey. Jerry has also written God's House of Mirrors, Brokenness and the Strong Man's Gospel, Intelligent Faith, and Enduring Faith Gains Approval.

In due season you will reap your harvest, it's time to grow in GRACE, you have been in kindergarten for too many years. God has blessed you to care for children but yet you are still acting as a child when it comes to honoring GOD. Grow up and honor GOD! Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure press down, shaken together and running over. Stop! Stop looking at your pastor as getting your money it's a seed that you sow to honor GOD. It didn't matter much where you sow your money when you didn't know any better. You've tried everything and anything that came with a convincing line telling you to sow your money into this are that and you will win more. The instruction didn't come with a defi nite fact that you are going to win; it guarantees a chance. That's man traditional way of sowing and believing. God's way for sowing is throughout the Bible. GOD's promises are: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding, God will direct your path. With a path like this any person seeking for new direction can't go wrong, with trusting GOD. Get the rope from around your neck; during slavery days, people didn't have a choice when the rope was place around their neck. They were tied down like cattle, bound and sail to sea, for some; they hung from a tree. Today, you have a choice. Farmer's believe in the process of a seed sown. A farmer can have only one seed; plant the seed and simultaneously have faith that the one seed will reproduce after its own kind. We should have faith like a farmer. If we can just believe that seeds reproduce after its own kind, and believe as the farmer believes; our circumstances will change while going through the process. Are you planting seeds?

Book Sowing and Reaping Whatever a man sows that shall he also reap Galatians 6 7

Download or read book Sowing and Reaping Whatever a man sows that shall he also reap Galatians 6 7 written by Dwight L. Moody and published by Aneko Press. This book was released on 2019-08-01 with total page 105 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do not deceive yourselves; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that sows in the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life. (Galatians 6:7-8) We can't get away from the principle of reaping what we sow. If we sow good seed, we anticipate a great harvest. But if we sow weeds, we'll harvest no more than we sowed. The same is true spiritually and practically. If we want a reward in heaven, we must live for Christ. On the other hand, if we lie, cheat, swear, steal, get drunk, use drugs, or otherwise fulfill the lusts of the flesh, the reality is we'll pay the consequences both now and in eternity. No matter how much society tries to convince us otherwise, this law has proven to be true without fail. This is the bright truth held before us in this little book – if we sow good seed, we will reap a great harvest. While sowing and caring for the seed sown isn't without work, the promise of a great harvest is what keeps us going and what brings joy to our labors. Be assured that it is not in vain to spend much time pruning, weeding, and carefully watching over the garden of your heart and the hearts of those you love.

I think this passage contains truths that no infidel or sceptic will dare to deny. There are some passages in the Word of God that need no other proof than that which we can easily find in our daily experience. This is one of them. If the Bible were to be blotted out of existence, the words I have quoted would be abundantly verified by what is constantly happening around us. We have only to take up the daily papers to see them being fulfilled before our eyes. I remember giving out this text once when a man stood right up in the audience and said: "I don't believe it."

Book excerpt: In our society dominated by technology, have we lost the ability to understand fully what Jesus meant when he used the words sowing, reaping and harvesting in relation to evangelism? There is a timelessness in the teachings of Jesus as he purposely chose agrarian language — sowing, reaping, harvesting — when he taught his disciples. We recognize these words but have lost first-hand experience with them in our urban lives. Jesus used these words not only because they came from the culture of the time but because they were vital to illustrate the organic nature of growing God's kingdom. Sometimes the best way forward is to go back. The best way to move forward in evangelism is to go back to an agrarian mindset that is all but lost in our fast-paced, technocratic world — a paradigm lost. Dr. Foltz is in no way advocating that we move back to the farm but he wants us to view Scripture through a farmer's paradigm. In Paradigm Lost, he explains how technology has reshaped our worldview and then he takes us back through agricultural processes, giving them spiritual application. This book is a call to the church to restore the harvest mentality of Jesus' words and gives step-by-step examples of how to implement this farming paradigm for more effective evangelism in our neighborhoods, our country and the world.

Book excerpt: The Book of Genesis invites us to take a peek into the very astounding process of creation. God planted the seed of existence in order to reap a harvest that He named water, sky, earth, and more. Unhesitatingly, God used three little words: "Let there be . . ." and, just like that, it was! No magician or witch has the ability to produce such results, only God. In Genesis 1:26, God said "Let Us make human beings in our image and likeness, and let them rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the tame animals, over all the earth, and over all the small crawling animals." Possessions are essentially for use on the Earth; there is no genuine comfort within them. The Holy Spirit was sent to comfort God's people, in every area of their lives, especially during this historic recession. However, life does not exist in the abundance of things you possess, but the Jesus that is in you. Real life with regard to seedtime and harvest can manifest itself with the influence of Christ on a believer's spirit, soul, and body. Every person has been given a special gift or talent by God with the potential to bring him wealth. We've all got to remember that God will take care of us in the midst of what is going on in the world today. We may be in a recession, but participating in it is our decision. God always has an abundant supply of whatever you need. Pray to Him, talk to Him, and spend time with Him. Then sit back, relax, and expect Him to do what He has promised in His Word. Normally, "church folks" look at seedtime as always being about money or finance. But, just like God did, we have the ability to plant seeds of wisdom, good deeds, love and kindness toward one another. All these seeds will be returned back to us in a harvest of new members in the Body of Christ. Genesis 1:27-28 explains God's creation of man and woman, and His exhortation that they be fruitful and fill the earth. Bishop Gaston clarifies the sowing and reaping process, applying its tenets to our lives today and bringing it home to our personal struggles in these hard times. He provides us with organized thinking about the many levels of meaning in the terms seedtime and harvest, leading us step by step from problem to solution. Its readability will lead you to enjoy Harvest Time: Reaping a Bountiful Life, but your "take away" will be its individualized outlines for each aspect of sowing and reaping. Follow the steps enumerated by Bishop Gaston, and reap your bountiful life in God! Brenda Husband, Evangelist City of Refuge, Church of God in Christ Oakland, California

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Everything in creation was designed to function on the principle of receiving and releasing while the duty of sowing and reaping determines the level of what one contributes to and gets in life. Everything God has created is for a purpose with the inherent ability or potential to fulfill the purpose, which is the end for which the means exists. Discovering this innate potential and working it out maximally to fulfill life purpose is the responsibility of every one. Sowing this seed of destiny calls for responsibility, the duty of knowing the frame of man, how his spirit, soul and body are designed to operate, his depraved condition after the fall, restoration of God's life (Zoe) to him through the redemption provided by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the laws, principles and statutes of God and the consequences of breaking them as clearly written in the Holy Bible. Lack of clear understanding of God's plan and purpose for one's life and the manipulation of the prince of the air, through the activities of false prophets and many religious leaders in the body of Christ have continued to be a major challenge to right and effective sowing and reaping. Hence, this study is carried out to throw more light on the demands and requirements for effective sowing and reaping for maximum result. Sowing and reaping determines the quantum and type of all that a person can achieve in life. Every day one is sowing one seed or the other either by one's thought, word or action, The right seed sown produces fruit in time, a fulfillment of one's God-given life purpose, that impacts the life of both the Sower and others as well. In Luke 8:4-15, the seed sown is called the word of God. To sow is "to plant seed" while to reap is "to gather a crop." What you reap or gather is always a product of what you sow. For whatever a man sows that and that only is what he will reap. For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.(Gal.6:7-8 Amp) The above verse is a timeless truth concerning sowing and reaping. After the fall of Adam and Eve, the source of humanity, the Spirit of God left man, thus losing the life and glory of God, and fellowship with Him. Life in the Spirit enjoyed in the garden of Eden, paradise, came to an abrupt end, thus man started groping in the wilderness of the earth. God, in His mercy, then killed animals and used the skins to make garments with which He covered the nakedness of Adam and Eve, while the blood, as a temporary measure, atoned for their sin. However, the blood of bulls and goat could not take away sin (Heb. 10:4). It was just a shadow not the very image of the good things to come through the Lord Jesus Christ (Heb. 10:11), the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world (Rev. 13:8). Consequently, God in mercy, chose the house of Israel, beginning from Abraham, their progenitor with whom he made covenant (Gen.12:1-4). Israel, God's own people was to be a model to other people of the earth (Dt. 7:6-11). The first covenant was faulty, hence a place was sought for a second one (Heb. 8:7-12). The first covenant had its commandments written and engraved on stone, with its glory passing away. Its letter also kills (2 Cor. 3:6-7). The Jews could not keep the Law (John 7:19), they were practicing a formal religion, Judaism. Religion is what man does in an attempt to please God. In the new covenant, the laws of God are put in the minds and written in the hearts of all born again believers as it was before the fall of Adam and Eve. The Holy Spirit now controls believers from within (Rom. 8:14), serving God on His own terms and conditions, through the Lord Jesus Christ. Glory to God...

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When you plant an orange tree, do you produce a rotten apple? When you squeeze a lemon, do you get orange juice? When you share a smile, do you retrieve a frown? When you speak words of bitterness, do you receive a blessing? When you invest below, do you collect interest above? When you sow to the flesh, do you reap of the Spirit? "Sow What?" is a book that teaches the word of God without compromise. It centers on biblical principles and emphasizes the principle of sowing and reaping. It encourages one to determine in each action he takes what the end result will be. Most of the things we spend our time on have little or no eternal value whatsoever. Excessive time, energy and money is going into things that do not benefit us spiritually, mentally or even physically. Yeager exhorts her readers to consider their lifestyles taking note of what marks they are leaving on earth. Most importantly, she encourages her readers, young and old alike to determine as she did at a very young age to stay rooted in the Christian faith till the end. A whole chapter is devoted to her personal testimony. At just 14 year as old she was reading in Matthew 24 of the warnings that many would fall from the faith. The fear of the Lord was instilled within her, and she coveted never to let this happen to her. This commitment has kept her through the storms of life -- rooted in the Lord. Chapter 12 ends the book offering hope that though holiness is of utmost importance, apart from the Blood of Jesus, none of us are worthy of His grace.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first mention of seed in the Bible is within the context of the first chapter of Genesis when God creates the world that we all live in. In Genesis 1:11 God says, "Let the earth bring forth grass yielding seed". Deuteronomy 24:19 states that when thou cutest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease. Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you. As we prepare for God's harvest, we must create an atmosphere of honor to the Lord at church and in our lives. When we get this, we will not only reap the harvest, but we will do the right thing in God's eyes not only by getting people saved but also by teaching the people to honor the Lord and make Him a priority. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. As we recognize that we are living in the last days, there are some things that, as the Body of Christ, we need to do. We cannot sit around passively in church, thinking that Jesus will come back for His bride that has been complacent and stagnant.
