The fact that such a large proportion of the Class have sent me the desired information is one in which we may all find reason for satisfaction. On examining the records in this report it is apparent that all over the country the members of the Class coming to the front in all professions and occupations. This is inter esting, but not surprising, for even when we were graduated it was evident that many of our men would win fame. The principal deduction to be drawn from the autobiographies as a whole is that our men have the happy faculty of getting results. The busy men, from force of habit, have generally answered by return mail, and if some of those with time to burn have used my circulars for lighters, I confess to a secret admiration of their independent situation. Then, again, many circulars brought back with them pleasant letters and messages from classmates long separated by time and space, the value of which is not to be measured. The object of the fund is to meet the expenses of class meetings, and of such reunions as we are this year to enjoy, and of printing Re ports, and all other incidental expenses. We thus escape the disa greeable necessity of continual assessments, and ensure a larger attend ance at all meetings. The plan has succeeded well in other classes, some of whom have funds large enough to pay all their expenses, of every description. I know there are many calls for money just at the present time. The Alumni Hall Fund demands our attention. A subscription paper for the class fund, however, will be offered to you, and I hope you will put money enough in your purse to pay all bills which may arise. Changes have been less frequent in our lives of late. We have settled down, and there is less to be told. To some of us honors and degrees have come of later years, as the new Class Secretary has tried to Show. Some of our temporary members have attained distinction, as well as our learned graduates. There are some six of the graduates who have nothing to tell or will not tell it. I have stated What I could learn about them. During the past seven years eleven of our graduates have died, and seven of our temporary members. I have tried to get some account of their life-work for your information. Since the last Re port only two children have been born to the Class, the two boys of the present Class Secretary. This makes the whole number 157, not an average of two for the 88 who had degrees. I have tried to give the statistics in the summary of our total membership, of children living, and of marriages and deaths, but cannot be sure they are complete or correct, for possible lack of in formation. Please keep me posted of changes of address or of any other changes in your surroundings. Wishing you well and happy, and hoping to see you, every one.
