Book I Wish He Was Dead

Download or read book I Wish He Was Dead written by Jan Jencomb and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2011-10-11 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since Emma Kay was born almost nine years ago, I have kept pictorial records (both still and video) of her life, growth, and activities. We soon began to lose confidence in our judicial system, especially as it relates to the male spouse in divorce proceedings. The Internet had a site for a local attorney which gave instructions on getting the male spouse out of the housecorner him so he will be forced to touch the female spouse to get past her. She played her cards to the limit after that, signing papers for a restraining order. The separation agreement was already written, but the dates in the agreement were all wrong. My son was set up and trapped. He lost his home businesses and didnt see his daughter for five weeks. The hatred, anger, and emotional abuse she continued to show exceeded any behavior I had ever witnessed. Her emotional abuse to her daughter, and to me, was inconceivable, incomprehensible, and inexcusable. I started keeping written documentation more than six months prior to her actual drama. I started my documentation as a therapeutic value for me. It was much later that I decided to document everything I could in a book. I hope it will be of some help to other unsuspecting husbands.

Download or read book I Love Jesus But I Want to Die written by Sarah J. Robinson and published by WaterBrook. This book was released on 2021-05-11 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.

Book excerpt: Born the youngest of three, in London, England, Rainbow has always been an aAmericaphilea, loving all things American, especially chrome and fins on cars! At 15, he left academia and enrolled in the University of Life. He traveled to America in the a70s and again in the a80s, although that rock-and-roll dream ended in him returning to England, totally broke and alone. He turned for comfort and companionship to his ascratching pada and wrote, always coming out in verse, when the muse struck, his expressions and observations on what he fondly calls the upright biped species that infect this planet, as well as his own thoughts and experiences. He slowly became convinced that he was not from this planet, even if that only meant he seemed alien to most people! However, U.S. Immigration finally confirmed it when they stamped his passport as a legal permanent resident and issued him with his official alien number! Thank you, U.S.A. Now itas official! I come in peace, but please, donat take the peace!

It chronicles incidents, events, and the things that have troubled, hurt, and pleased the author, his family, and his friends. Baseball had flourished into big business through Ruth's swing and swag and didn't need him anymore. His dream was to become a manager but the New York Yankees--a dynasty he helped build--were not interested. But someone wanted him. Judge Emil Fuchs, luckless president of the Boston Braves, had lost a fortune on his perpetually losing team. Desperate to save the club from collapse, he needed Babe Ruth--not the fading slugger but the most famous brand on the planet. This book chronicles the Ruth and Fuchs partnership during a perplexing 1935 season with the 38-115 Braves--truly one of the worst baseball teams in history--along with Ruth's final games, back in the city where he debuted.
