Book Guide to the Use of Computer Programs for the Calculation of Thermodynamic Properties of Ethylene Carbon Dioxide and Methane

Download or read book Guide to the Use of Computer Programs for the Calculation of Thermodynamic Properties of Ethylene Carbon Dioxide and Methane written by Kent R. Bjornn and published by . This book was released on 1987 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Computer programs and documentation are presented for the calculation of thermodynamic properties of ethylene, carbon dioxide, and methane on a prescribed grid of pressure and temperature values. Programs are also included for the calculation of hypothetical random deviations and the addition of these deviations to calculated data point values.

Book Guide to Computer Programs for Iterative Calculations of Thermodynamic Properties

Download or read book Guide to Computer Programs for Iterative Calculations of Thermodynamic Properties written by Richard Byron Stewart and published by . This book was released on 1985 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Computer programs using selected iterative methods for the calculation of thermodynamic properties in the single phase region and on the coexistence boundaries are given. All properties for the single phase are explicit functions of temperature and density. Properties for coexistence boundaries are functions of temperature only. Therefore, the iterative calculations of single phase properties return temperature and/or density. Coexistence properties are calculated either from the equation of state (i.e., by application of the Maxwell equal area principle) or by the intersection of the equation of state with a vapor pressure equation. The iterative subroutines are listed in the appendices."--Page [2] of cover.

Book Preliminary Studies on Data Distributions and Functions for the Development of Thermodynamic Equations of State standard Data Set for Ethylene

Download or read book Preliminary Studies on Data Distributions and Functions for the Development of Thermodynamic Equations of State standard Data Set for Ethylene written by Richard T. Jacobsen and published by . This book was released on 1986 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "A preliminary "standard" data set for ethylene has been developed using an accurate thermodynamic property formulation from a manuscript recently accepted for publication in the Journal of Physical and Chemical Reference Data. This ethylene formulation will be used as the basis for a new international table of properties of ethylene to be published by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry and the NBS Office of Standard Reference Data. The experimental data which were considered in the development of the fundamental equation (equation of state) for ethylene are summarized. The calculated values and the correlating functions used to produce them are given here. Computer programs for the calculation of pressure, density, temperature, isochoric heat capacity, and velocity of sound, are given, and values of these properties are tabulated. The computer programs utilized in this work were developed for use on IBM-compatible personal computers with 256 K or larger memories and a minimum disk storage capability of two 360 K-byte floppy disks. The loci of these calculated data are illustrated on P-T coordinates. A similar preliminary "standard" data set is also given for carbon dioxide based upon a thermodynamic property formulation recently completed by Dr. J.F. Ely at NBS-Boulder. At the date of this report, the manuscript reporting the details of this correlation is being prepared for publication."--Leaf ii.

Book Carbon Dioxide Thermodynamic Properties Handbook

Download or read book Carbon Dioxide Thermodynamic Properties Handbook written by Sara Anwar and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2016-03-29 with total page 1 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With new graphical data added to this revision of the original classic, this volume is still the largest and most comprehensive collection of thermodynamic data on carbon dioxide ever produced, the ONLY book of its kind in print. With carbon dioxide sequestration gaining in popularity around the world in the scientific and engineering communities, having this data in an easy-to-access format is more useful and timely than ever. With data that is accurate down to within a fraction of a degree, this handbook offers, in one volume, literally thousands of data points that any engineer or chemist would need when dealing with carbon dioxide. Not available in other formats, these easy-to-read tables are at your fingertips and are accessed within seconds and does away with the need for constantly working with mathematical formulas. Carbon dioxide is used in many fields, across many industries, including the oil and gas industry and food processing. Even coffee is decaffeinated using carbon dioxide! Though CO2 has many uses in industry, it is also one of the most offensive of the greenhouse gases, on which many scientists and engineers are working to eradicate in the future production of power and fuel. This data is useful for any scientist or engineer in any of these fields, but it is also useful for the chemical engineering or petroleum engineering student.
